Olivia Palermo's Engagement Ring: Get a Good Look at Her Yellow Diamond Sparkler!

Jan/31/2014 at 04:23 PM ET

Olivia Palermo engagement ringSplash News Online

We’re very passionate about Olivia Palermo’s style, so we had a feeling her engagement ring would perfectly bridge that classic/trendy line she walks so well. But she somehow managed to keep it under wraps — despite the fact that, in our quick glimpse of it (below) we could tell it would be hard to miss. Now she’s finally revealed the diamond from love Johannes Huebl, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

The sparkler is eye-catching and gorgeous, in a very elegant, not crazy-over-the-top Kim Kardashian sort of way. The cushion-cut yellow diamond is flanked by two side diamonds (possibly baguettes or trillion-cut?) for a vintage feel.

Palermo has been tight-lipped about Huebl’s proposal, but we’re sure she has plenty of super-stylish wedding plans underway. And we can’t wait to see what wedding band she chooses to go with her unique engagement ring.

The Bachelor's Sean and Catherine: Exclusive Photos of Their Wedding Rings and More!

Jan/28/2014 at 09:00 AM ET

When jewelry designer Neil Lane first met Bachelor Sean Lowe in Chiang Rai, Thailand, last March, it was mere hours before Lowe’s teary-eyed proposal to Catherine Giudici on his season’s show finale. Yet Lowe — who chose a vintage-inspired, 3.15-carat diamond engagement ring that day — was the picture of calm.

“Of course Sean was excited, but he was so certain he’d found the love of his life that he was pretty relaxed,” recalls Lane. Fast forward about 10 months, when Lowe and Giudici stopped by the jeweler’s L.A. store to pick out wedding bands for their Jan. 26 nuptials. “Sean was the same guy – excited, sincere, committed and certain of his choice in Catherine — and eager to find the perfect rings,” Lane tells PEOPLE exclusively.

It’s no secret that The Bachelorette‘s Trista Sutter loves pink. When she married her firefighter beau Ryan Sutter after the reality franchise’s inaugural season in 2003, Trista, 41, carried a bouquet of pink peonies and their wedding boasted 5,000 yards of pink ribbon. So it was only natural that the color take center stage when Ryan, 39, looked to create the perfect ring for his bride to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary.

Ciara may be busy prepping for a new baby, but that’s not slowing the singer down when it comes to planning her wedding to fiancé Future.

The singer — who is also gearing up to perform at the Grammys afterparty on Jan. 26 — already has some plans in mind, but the date will most likely be decided after the couple welcomes their first child together this spring.

“We’re definitely working on things every day,” she told PEOPLE at Degree’s pre-Grammy press day Tuesday in N.Y.C. “I’m going to do things in advance. Luckily, I have time still to work on everything. I feel like it’s going to work itself out though, because at least me and my fiancé are talking over things. So when it’s time to start working with a wedding planner it will like be A, B, C, boom. We’ll have a vision.”

The singer also has a vision for her dress. “I’m starting to get there. I want elegant and classic to be the theme,” she shared. “I don’t know exactly what it is yet, but I do want it to be a little vintage-y, like something my mom would have worn, with a modern twist. I have an idea of the feeling I would love. I want to go a little throwback.” Read More

Natalie Zea Is Finally Talking About Her Engagement Ring (See an Up-Close Photo)

Some stars are super-quick to share their engagement rings on social media (ahem, Ashlee Simpson) and others like to wait before making any kind of big reveal. Natalie Zea chose the second approach, as the actress just started to gush about her bauble from fiancé Travis Schuldt.

Zea — who you know from her role on Justified and currently stars as Claire Matthews on The Following — accepted Schuldt’s proposal last June in Kauai, Hawaii. And she was definitely impressed by the ring, a stunning round solitaire diamond on a gold band, so much so that she’s still gushing about it.

“The stone is an heirloom from Travis’s family,” the star recently told the Daily Mail. “He worked with Tacori to design the setting. I had no input at all and was pleasantly shocked by it all.” Read More

Ashlee Simpson's Engagement Ring: Get All the Scoop (and Exclusive Photos) From Neil Lane Himself

When it came to creating an engagement ring for Ashlee Simpson, her love, actor Evan Ross, was not messing around. “He took it very seriously and it was a wonderfully intense process,” says L.A. jeweler Neil Lane, who worked closely with Ross, 25, over the last month to design a one-of-a-kind ring on a tight deadline.

“Evan was really, really sweet and he was looking for something beautiful, a unique ring that said everything: love, romance, beauty, character. He didn’t want anything traditional,” Lane says. After going through an array of design options, Ross spotted a ring from Lane’s vintage archival collection that had a marquise-cut diamond surrounded by small rubies, with an elongated navette style and vintage aesthetic. “When he saw it, his eyes widened and that was it,” says Lane. “But that was only the beginning.”

Ross wanted to blend in design elements to evoke a more contemporary feel, so the two pored over sketches and traded ideas. Ross even consulted Simpson’s mother Tina (whose other daughter, Jessica, also has a Neil Lane engagement ring). “He wanted to do the right thing. This is a young fellow in love,” says the celebrity jeweler, who created a delicate diamond sleeve into which the original ring fit. “His taste level is exquisite and he wanted to make sure it was a perfect ring for his love.”

The new five-carat ring, set in platinum and gold, now boasts 140 white diamonds accented with small rubies. “Evan was blown away when he saw it!” says Lane, who admits it was a nail-biter getting it done before Ross and Simpson, 29, headed off to Hawaii last weekend. “It was non-stop until the last minute when Evan picked up the ring last Friday, but it was worth it. It’s one of the most beautiful rings I’ve ever done.” The verdict from Simpson? Says Lane, who spoke with Ross following the proposal, “She was overwhelmed! Oh my God, they are so in love.”

So you just got engaged. Do you A) Text a photo of the ring to a few close friends and family. B) Upload the photo of the ring to Facebook to allow your closest 738 acquaintances to ooh and aah over it. Or C) Casually unveil it on the red carpet at one of the biggest awards shows of the year? If you answered C, well, can we hang out with you more? And are you Emma Roberts? Because that’s just what she did at Sunday’s Golden Globes.

The American Horror Story: Coven actress, who got engaged to her love, actor Evan Peters over the holidays, has been keeping her new pink gold-and-diamond ring mostly under wraps — we’ve had our eyes out, and have only gotten a few blurry glimpses of something vaguely shiny on her left hand. But we can’t say we blame her for wanting to let the ring have a major debut: It’s huge, sparkly and stunning and kinda deserves a big coming-out party set against a gorgeous Lanvin dress and turquoise Neil Lane chandeliers (check her out on our Best Dressed list here!).
