Badgley Mischka’s designers know a little something about weddings — they’ve been making beautiful bridal gowns for years.

And now the couple behind the line, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, have tied the knot themselves in a small ceremony at N.Y.C.’s City Hall, the designers’ rep tells PEOPLE.

Badgley and Mischka have been together for 28 years, since they met at the Parsons School of Design in N.Y.C. They launched their iconic brand in 1988 (followed by bridal in 1993) and have been dressing Hollywood’s biggest names ever since.

But despite their huge fan following, the Friday wedding was an intimate affair, witnessed only by Mark’s twin sister O’Hara Fottrell. Both men wore silver ties (Mark’s was a bow tie) with blazers and dark denim. They celebrated afterwards with close friends and family at a local restaurant, while mid-’80s music played to celebrate their first years together.

See the couple’s newest accessories — their wedding rings! — below, then leave your congratulations in the comments!

Sofia Vergara curves, shape VOGUE/Mikael Jansson

Sofia Vergara is certainly not one to censor her thoughts — not even when speaking to a prestigious publication like Vogue for their April “Shape Issue.”

As a result, we now know the specifics of that exact shape, and why it’s so hard for her to get dressed. “My dresses are like a work of art inside because, you know, I am 40 years old, I had a baby, and I am a 32F boob,” she says in the interview. “And they are real still. When they are fake, you take the bra off and they are still there, perfect! Me — no, so I have to bring them up!”

When jewelry designer Neil Lane landed in Chiang Rai, Thailand, he came bearing six engagement rings to show Bachelor Sean Lowe.

“Sean took it very seriously and looked carefully at each of his choices — including round- and princess-cuts — but once he saw the cushion-cut stone with all the romantic details, he knew this one was perfect,” says Lane, of the 3.15-carat platinum-and-diamond sparkler Lowe slipped on Catherine Giudici’s finger during his teary-eyed proposal on the show finale. “When he made his choice — of the ring, and of which woman he was picking — he was absolutely certain.”

Forget Who Won ‘The Bachelor’ — Who Had the Best Dress?

Sean Lowe had a difficult decision to make during the Bachelor finale Monday night. But for those of us not picking which girl to propose to, we had our own challenging choice: Which contestant’s dress was prettiest, Lindsay Yenter’s or Catherine Giudici’s?

Second-place finisher Yenter appropriately wore a silver lamé David Meister gown with beaded shoulders. Lowe told her how beautiful she looked in the plunging, fitted look before telling her how hard it was to send her packing.

And Lowe’s new fiancée, Giudici, took the gold (and went home with a brand-new, 3-carat Neil Lane ring) in her shimmering one-shoulder creation, also by David Meister. It looked especially dramatic riding into the Thai sunset on the back of an elephant.

No matter what you thought of Lowe’s decision, you must have an opinion on which finale dress was best. So tell us: Whose gown did you prefer, Catherine’s or Lindsay’s?

When Christina Applegate said “I do” with Martyn LeNoble in Los Angeles on Saturday, she not only added a new member to her family, but also a new piece of jewelry to her collection.

Neil Lane, who tells PEOPLE the piece “is not a typical ring,” designed the actress’s new sparkler.

Lane explains of the bauble, “It has a border of diamonds around it like a sleeve. We took her engagement ring and fit it in a sleeve of little diamonds to become one with the wedding band. It’s platinum and diamond inset with tiny little diamonds everywhere.”

All About Gabe Saporta and Erin Fetherston’s Romantic Engagement (Plus: A First Look at the Ring!)

It’s official: Cobra Starship rocker Gabe Saporta and fashion designer Erin Fetherston are engaged!

Saporta popped the question to his bride-to-be on New Year’s Eve while on vacation in Barbados. “I woke up at dawn to go collect coral and flowers from the beach next to our cottage,” Saporta tells PEOPLE. “I used them to write out my proposal on our patio and then I woke Erin up in a frenzy to come see a ‘monkey’ that had appeared in our backyard. My sleepy-eyed bride quickly realized the only monkey that morning was me … and of course, she said,’Yes!’”

Saporta and Fetherson, who began dating in 2010, say they started seriously discussing marriage this past fall — and she was even involved in designing her ring. But Saporta couldn’t resist pulling a few fake-outs when it came to finally popping the question.

“Since she knew about the ring, surprising her with a proposal was going to prove a challenge,” he says. “My first step was to psych her out. On Christmas Eve, I gave her a nicely wrapped ring-box that did not contain her engagement ring. It contained a sick amethyst cocktail ring instead.”

Fetherston’s actual engagement ring, however, is no joke. Designed by Lorraine Schwartz, it’s an emerald-cut stone set in a pavé basket on a pavé band. “The platinum was oxidized to give the ring a vintage feeling,” says Fetherson. “I love it because it’s luminous and romantic, with the right amount of edge.”

While the couple are still in the planning stages for their big day, Fetherston already has ideas for her dress and ceremony. “I will definitely design my own dress,” she says, “and my fairytale aesthetic will undoubtedly influence the look and feel of the wedding.”

As for Saporta, who is recording a new album with his band, he says, “It’s gonna be a classy shindig.”
