When Savannah Guthrie announced her engagement on the Today Show Monday morning, we couldn’t have been the only viewers at home shouting at the television for a close-up of the ring.

The show’s anchor gave her co-hosts a great view of her new, sparkly accessory — and even Bradley Cooper got to get up close and personal — but we were dying for a better look.

Luckily, Guthrie was happy to share, passing along a peek at her classic ring from fiancé Mike Feldman, who called himself “the luckiest guy in the world” while calling into the Today Show‘s fourth hour.

Feldman selected the ring himself from a jeweler in Philadelphia, where he grew up, says a Today Show spokeswoman. It’s a round solitaire diamond in a classic platinum setting, with pavé diamonds in the band.

And though Guthrie said she wouldn’t televise her nuptials, after seeing how gorgeous this ring is, we don’t know if we’ll be able to make it without seeing photos of the dress, flowers, wedding bands … you name it.

Before proposing to Alexis Bledel, her Mad Men costar (and now husband-to-be) Vincent Kartheiser once said, “Girls, as much as they are independent, want on a certain level to have certain things.” Well, if Bledel is one of those girls and one of those “certain things” for her was a big, stunning diamond ring, she definitely got what she wanted.

The actress, 31, showed off her dazzling octagonal-shaped diamond, set in what appears to be platinum, for the first time at the premiere of Remembering Sunday in Century City, Calif., Wednesday evening.

The ring has a vintage vibe to it, appropriate considering the couple got to know each other on the set of Mad Men. (Bledel played Beth Dawes, who has an affair with Kartheiser’s character Pete Campbell.)

She debuted her bling with a positively modern Pamella Roland black-and-ivory cutout dress.

It’s the first marriage for both, but it’s not the first time Kartheiser proposed. The actor, 33, admitted he practiced the proposal on costars Elisabeth Moss and Jessica Paré before popping the question on Bledel in March.

“It was purely comedic but he was giving [Elisabeth] and I a facetious rendition of his planned proposal,” Paré told PEOPLE. “We were like, ‘Great! Lets do this one without cursing and without yelling!’”

Since All-American Rejects frontman Tyson Ritter shared a photo of himself with his bride-to-be, Magic City actress Elena Satine, we’ve been dying for a closer look at that gorgeous ring.

Well, our wish was granted — and it’s just as beautiful as we guessed. The Simon G. ring, which Ritter picked out at a Glendale, Calif. Robbins Brothers, is a vintage halo setting, with a round white center diamond surrounded by more round white diamonds set. The pavé stones are featured on all three sides of the band, giving the ring even more sparkle.

And even though the ring is stunning, Ritter appears to think he’s gotten away with the better end of the deal. “I’ve found my bride at last!” he tweeted along with a photo of the couple’s entwined arms.

Video: What Does Jana Kramer Want Fiancé Brantley Gilbert to Toss?

Apr/03/2013 at 02:54 PM ET

A word of warning to all men considering a proposal: Once the ring is on, your new fiancée has permission to edit your wardrobe.

And country star Jana Kramer is taking full advantage of that rule. With a gorgeous sparkler on her hand from fellow country singer Brantley Gilbert and cameras from Country Now‘s “OMC” show by her side, Kramer giggles as host Hugh Howser accuses Gilbert of owning too much black — and teases him for stashing his gun in the closet.

Kramer, who, like Brantley, is nominated for “New Artist of the Year” at the ACM awards, also got the full closet clean-out from Howser, who calls her out for owning pieces “from the Reba line” and that seem to say “mother of six, and divorced.” On the other hand, he gives her props for her gorgeous Louboutin collection, despite the fact that says she’s more of a flip-flop girl.

Check out the full closet tour from Kramer and Gilbert’s Nashville home (fun fact: Jana’s mom was downstairs cooking chicken parm!), and get the scoop on what you may see her wearing at Saturday’s ACM awards, in the video above. And get much more from Country Now and OMC (hosted by Howser and Laura Bell Bundy) at the YouTube channel.
