We “like” this! While Mark Zuckerberg was taking his company public on Friday, his then-bride-to-be, Priscilla Chan, was quietly putting the final touches on her wedding gown.

For her surprise Saturday nuptials, Chan wore designer Claire Pettibone’s “Sky Between the Branches” gown, an ivory laser-cut floral dress adorned with matte sequins lined in silk. The gown featured subtle cutouts in the overlay, plus an illusion jewel neckline, sheer back and chapel-length train. The dress retails for $4,700 and is available on Pettibone’s website.

“She wore it with such grace,” Pettibone tells PEOPLE of Chan. “Her gown seems to perfectly capture her personality — understated and elegant with a touch of sparkle. It’s a perfect blend of femininity and fashion.”

Pettibone, a Los Angeles-based designer, has also created wedding gowns for stars like Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss and American Idol‘s Tamyra Gray, and even designed a bridesmaid dress worn by Cameron Diaz.

Jayma Mays is busy planning a wedding — but technically, it’s not her own. “I’m very excited for ‘Wemma,’ Will and Emma, to be together,” she told PEOPLE of her and Matthew Morrison’s Glee alter egos. “It’s been three seasons, so enough is enough!”

Speaking to PEOPLE at a Glee screening in North Hollywood Tuesday, Mays said she envisions a basic wedding dress for her character. “Emma is a very simple girl, so it has to be clean, and it needs to be simple,” she shared.

It needs to be new, too; as Mays pointed out, “This will be the fourth or fifth wedding dress that she’s worn on the show.”

Mark Badgley and James Mischka submitted a sketch of a classic, vintage-inspired gown (left) to PEOPLE. “[Something] like this would be perfect for Angelina,” they say. “Its beaded bodice would give her just the right amount of sparkle, and the fitted tulle skirt with godets makes it elegant and totally glamorous.”

Carolina Herrera Is Not Retiring Anytime Soon

According to Carolina Herrera, “True style money can’t buy. Style is something subtle that shows in small details. It’s not the clothes you wear; it’s the way you act, move, speak.”

But the clothes definitely do help. Speaking to aarp.org, the designer lists her wardrobe essentials — black and beige pants, a well-cut skirt, a blazer and cocktail dress among them — and says she’s not retiring anytime soon, even though she is 73.

“Why give up something I love?” she asks. “I grew up surrounded by beautiful things and developed a good eye for fashion, for which I feel a real passion. And the fact that at work I’m surrounded by people who share that passion makes everything easy.”

Herrera — a favorite of Renée Zellweger, Amy Adams and Tina Fey and responsible for the wedding gowns of Christina Hendricks, Tamera Mowry and Twilight‘s Bella Swan — has a passion for one simple garment, too: the white blouse.
