Shenae Grimes’s Wedding Dress: All the Scoop on Her Black Gown

Though there’s no “something black” in that old wedding luck adage, Shenae Grimes sure seemed to be feeling lucky in her elegant midnight-and-blush Vera Wang wedding gown as she tied the knot with Josh Beech Friday.

Wearing Look 9 from Wang’s Fall 2012 collection, the actress posted a photo to Twitter of her smooching her brand-new groom in a lovely outdoor setting.

Wang’s heavily black collection was released shortly before announcing her separation from her husband, but rather than be a one-off collection, tons of bridal designers have begun incorporating the dramatic hue into their own wedding looks.

And Grimes accented her darkly romantic gown with a curled updo and deep red flowers, adding even more drama to what was certainly a memorable day.

Who Wore a Camo Gown Best: Mama June or the Duck Dynasty Ladies?

Most of Hollywood may have been inspired by punk this week, but several other stars opted for completely different inspiration for their bold gowns: a hunting trip.

This past Saturday, Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June exchanged vows with her love Sugar Bear in an elaborately draped and ruffled camouflage gown, accented with an orange sash and petticoat (and tie-dye roses, of course!)

And then on Wednesday night, the ladies of Duck Dynasty attended the A&E upfronts looking like they may have visited the same dress shop, clad head-to-toe in duck-print-camo (pictured are Korie and Jessica — the rest of the women wore pink duck camo for a little variety).

We had never considered all the black-tie possibilities of everyone’s favorite hunting print, but the stars from these two very different reality shows certainly make a compelling case. And we appreciate both Mama June’s commitment to the theme, as well as Korie and Jessica’s more cocktail-appropriate take on the look.

Keira Knightley’s Chanel Wedding Dress: Something Old?

May/06/2013 at 10:23 AM ET

Keira Knightley was not only a gorgeous bride on her wedding day; she was also a very practical one.

Rather than wearing an over-the-top ballgown or something straight from the Chanel runway, the star appeared to have recycled a blush pink Chanel number, which she last wore in 2008, for the intimate ceremony in Mazan, France.

That’s not to say, of course, that it was just any old dress she pulled out of her closet. Everything from her matching flats to the coordinating classic jacket was specifically designed by Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld for Knightley, a rep for Chanel confirms, adding that the dress is haute couture.

The dress bore a striking resemblance to one that she’d worn previously with black tights and pumps for a pre-BAFTA party in 2009, though we have to say we love her carefree styling for her wedding day even better.

Keira Knightley’s Wedding Dress: What Will She Wear?

Here comes the bride, all dressed in custom Chanel!

That’s something not many brides hear on their wedding day (Drew Barrymore excluded), but we’re betting that Keira Knightley‘s going to be in a just-for-her Karl Lagerfeld creation for her wedding to James Righton, rumored to be this weekend.

Though details on the event are very hush-hush (all we know is that Knightley and Righton reunited at the Nice, France airport, and the ceremony is reportedly at or near her French country home), it’s a fairly safe bet that Knightley will be in Chanel. She’s long worn the design house’s ethereal attire, been the face of the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance and even played the role of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in a Lagerfeld-directed short.

So even though we suspect the fashionable star will have had a hand in the design, we couldn’t help but pick three ivory numbers from Lagerfeld’s latest couture show for Chanel. Each dress has elements that remind us of Knightley’s style (from showing off her elegant shoulders to the feminine, romantic details) — but we think the perfect dress for her would be a mix of all three looks.

But since we aren’t being consulted, we’ll ask you: Which of these three Chanel dresses is best for Knightley’s big day?

When Melissa Gilbert wed Thirtysomething star Timothy Busfield Wednesday, all eyes were on the beautiful bride — partly because she was glowing with happiness, and partly because her striking red dress commanded attention.

“The dress! It was quite a search,” Gilbert tells PEOPLE. “The moment I saw it, I knew … and the color spoke volumes. Passion, fire, love: Red says all of those things to me.”

The strapless design, featuring a fitted bodice and a softly draped, tiered skirt, was found at Morgane Le Fay in Santa Monica. It offset the Little House on the Prairie star’s fiery red locks.

And now Gilbert loves the dress for more than just its aesthetics: “The dress will always hold our precious, precious memories,” she says.
