EXCLUSIVE: Whitney Port Models for Women’s Health

Thomas Whiteside/Courtesy of Womens Health

The City star turns model for Women’s Health’s July/August issue in a colorful fashion spread showing off the boldest colors for the summer. Whitney Port modeled luxe looks from Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Philosphy di Alberta Ferretti and Vera Wang mixed with more affordable labels like Splendid, Club Monaco, and Forever 21. A style mix is something the former L.A. girl is familiar with, describing her style to Women’s Health as ” a mix of West Coast and East Coast styles, with a little vintage flair. I also use lots of colors.” Going from the Hills to The City isn’t easy, but Whitney definitely brings some of her L.A. cool to New York and her downtown chic back to West Coast. But how can you spice up your look like Whitney? The reality star says, “People get in a rut wearing the same thing day after day. It’s important to try something new — even if it’s just adding pop with a vivid top.” We love color for summer and will definitely be taking Whitney’s advice! Check out more at womenshealthmag.com.

Burn Notice’s Gabrielle Anwar Talks Fashion With Redbook

Courtesy of Redbook

While the Burn Notice beauty looks like she stepped out of a fashion magazine on the silver screen, Gabrielle Anwar’s personal style is a lot more laid back. “Because my character dresses in minis and mile-high heels, it’s important to me that my weekends aren’t necessarily about Jimmy Choos,” she tells Redbook . The actress sits pretty for the magazine’s July issue fashion spread, and between high fashion outfits (and high-wattage smiles), Gabrielle says, “I’m not even sure I have a style! All I know for sure is I don’t want to look like everyone else. I’m very much into the textures of fabric and how it moves on my body.” And when it comes to shopping, you won’t find this actress hitting the local mall. “I shop at a lot of vintage stores because the prices are amazing and I love the idea that there’s a history behind the piece I’m wearing,” she says. We love a bargain-hunting fashionista who can always manage to look stylish. For more on Gabrielle’s style, check out her spread in this month’s Redbook, on newsstands now, which also features Jada Pinkett Smith on the cover.

The web has been buzzing with reports that Vera Wang will join the next season of Dancing with the Stars, and while there is no confirmation to the rumor, we think that the designer would bring a host of talents to the reality show. From her obvious costume-designing skills to her training as a champion figure skater, she could sweep the show! But that made us think of whatever designers we’d love to see on DWTS. Marc Jacobs twirling in his signature skirt? Oscar de la Renta doing the rhumba with grace and elegance? Donatella Versace, well, just being Donatella? WATCH: Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s Hair-Raising Experience — Being Blonde Zack Morris!

For the record: Mark-Paul Gosselaar has always been a serious actor, even when he was playing personality challenged Zack Morris on the goofy ’90s sitcom Saved by the Bell. “The reason why it was such a success in my opinion was because we worked really hard at it,” Gosselaar, 35, now the star of the TNT legal series Raising the Bar, tells PEOPLE. “I feel things work because of the amount of effort that you put into it, you’ll see a return. That was the way it was for Saved by the Bell. We didn’t take anything for granted on that show.” And that work ethic extended to the toil required for the blond hair sported by the naturally brunette Gosselaar. “I sat every three weeks in a chair getting my hair done by someone on the set putting in foils,” he says. “I’m lucky that I came out the way I did. It really could have scarred me.” We’re happy to see that Gosselaar takes his blonde days in stride, even turning up on Jimmy Fallon’s couch last night in full Zack Morris costume — done to his perfectly highlighted hair. Tell us: Do you prefer Mark-Paul with his natural brunette hair or his teen-era blonde locks? –Michael Fleeman
