Kate Middleton Is This Week's Best Dressed Star (But We Think it Should've Been Someone Else!)

If there was ever a formula for best dressed, it would look something like this: Kate Middleton + her royal baby bump + anything she wears.

So it’s no surprise that the Duchess earned the top spot for the third week in row in a pale blue sleeveless Emilia Wickstead design, which she paired with gray suede Rupert Sanderson pumps to The Art Room reception in London.

Sure, Kate looks elegant per usual and we love her half-up twisted do (check out her hairstyle from all angles), but we think another gorgeous Brit truly deserves the style crown this week.

Ashley Madekwe came in a close second thanks to the patterned aqua Monique Lhuillier peplum number she wore to the College Television Awards Gala in L.A. (along with a yellow clutch and black stilettos, both Jimmy Choo, and Baccarat jewels). And as if that wasn’t enough sartorial amazingness, she added hot pink lips and a bright blue pedi. We’re tweeting the Revenge actress right now to see if we can borrow the look for an upcoming wedding.

The rest of the top 10 list is a mix of summery floral prints, lace looks and another Princess Kate look (her black-and-white polka dot dress).

'Revenge' Fashion Recap: Why Nolan and Padma Wore Matching Blue Outfits

Nov/06/2012 at 11:30 AM ET

If we’ve learned anything from our favorite TV shows about rich people behaving badly, it’s that weddings aren’t about true love, they’re about truly incredible fashion. Such was the case on Sunday night’s episode of Revenge — titled “Illusion” — at the nuptials (part deux) of Victoria and Conrad Grayson.

The bride looked stunning in a gray lace Vera Wang gown, but it was the wedding guests’ attire that really caught our eye.

Nolan and his new paramour Padma arrived in coordinating bold cobalt blue looks, which, like all things on Revenge, was hardly a coincidence.

Found: Revenge's Kara Clarke's Print Dress and Sweater

After Sunday night’s episode of Revenge (titled “Forgiveness”), fans were left wondering two things: what’s Kara Clarke’s real motive and where did she get her boho-chic ensemble?

Despite her laid-back appearance, Clarke — who’s played by Jennifer Jason Leigh — seems to favor designer labels as much as any wealthy Hamptonite on the show. She was wearing a Jil Sander sweater over a navy-and-white print dress by Marni.

“I wanted the character’s look to be layered and a bit eclectic, using patterns and accessories to not only reflect who Kara used to be, but to also allow her to easily meld into present day without being threatening to either her supposed daughter Amanda or Victoria [Grayson]”, says the show’s costume designer, Jill Ohanneson.

And it appears that her actual daughter Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) was employing the same strategy: She swapped out her usual high-fashion wardrobe for a white cotton American Eagle dress.

“I wanted to subconsciously connect her to her mom Kara in the forgiveness scene with Amanda where she’s listening behind the door,” Ohanneson says of the look.

Found: Emily VanCamp's Baby Blue 'Revenge' Sweater

There’s absolutely nothing sweet about Revenge‘s Emily Thorne (turn your back on her and chances are she’ll knock you out with a blunt object), but one of her looks on last night’s episode almost had us convinced she has a softer side.

Everyone was buzzing on Twitter over the little blue-and-white sweater she wore during the first half of the episode. According to the show’s costume designer, Jill Ohanneson, it’s by Escada, which means Thorne’s obsession with getting even is matched only by her lust for designer labels.

The rest of Emily’s outfit included an off-white Michael Kors purse, AG Adriano Goldschmeid skinnies and Christian Dior patent leather snakeskin pumps. Want. It. All.

There was a lot more fun fashion in last night’s episode, too: Ashley Madekwe’s Ashley donned a green skirt by Jason Wu, Christa B. Allen’s Charlotte wore a party dress by Nanette Lepore, and Madeleine Stowe’s Victoria stunned in a red dress by Valentino. Keep it up, ladies: The style on your show is giving Gossip Girl a run for its money.

If you can’t afford the casts’ high-priced wardrobes, at least you can score their favorite beauty products: Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist ($22) and Rose Silk Finishing Powder ($36), which the show’s makeup artist, Michelle Buhler, says the actresses just love. Tell us: Do you watch Revenge? Who’s your favorite character?

Revenge's Emily VanCamp: My Fashion Sense 'Is a Disaster'

Emily VanCamp works a wardrobe to kill for as Revenge‘s anti-heroine Emily Thorne, but when the cameras aren’t rolling, the actress admittedly has a far less sophisticated sense of style.

“Oh, it’s just a disaster,” VanCamp recently joked of her own clothes at a PaleyFest panel in Los Angeles. Describing her penchant for UGG boots and cozy fleece jackets, she said, “You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl.”

Thanks to her casual aesthetic, she often takes heat from costars Ashley Madekwe — “I don’t know what I hate more, the shoes or the jackets,” she quipped — and Gabriel Mann, who did have a few kind words. “You make UGGs very sexy,” he joked. “I’ve never seen such sexy fleece.”

Mann is confident in his own personal style, though his character’s looks “sort of evolved. It’s just kind of a process of, ‘Stick as much stuff as you can in the trailer, and I’ll wear it all,'” he said of character Nolan Ross’s tendency to layer brightly colored polo shirts. “It’s sort of like his armor. I think it’s how he protects himself from everyone else, thinking that it will draw people to him. Meanwhile, they kind of run screaming.”
