Sure, we’re going to miss the amazing pitch meetings at Sterling Cooper Draper Price, Don and Roger’s banter and all those gorgeous period clothes, but one of the things we’ll miss most of all about Mad Men is the amazing beauty moments created on the show. That’s why we wanted to chat with fabulous makeup artist Lana Horochowski — who is responsible for the memorable looks sported by Betty, Joan, Megan, Peggy and the rest of the cast — as we wait anxiously for Sunday’s season 7 premiere.

Christina Hendricks Pays Tribute to L'Wren Scott, Wearing One of the Designer's Most Celeb-Loved Dresses On the Red Carpet

As one of L’Wren Scott’s biggest celebrity fans, Christina Hendricks has worn the designer’s dresses for many of her most special events. And the actress honored Scott — who took her own life March 17 — by wearing one of her creations to a PaleyFest event this weekend.

The curvaceous Mad Men star selected a green midi dress with gold embroidery at the waist — a feminine, flattering number also loved by some of Scott’s other big fans, Penélope Cruz and Ellen Barkin (below). Hendricks finished the look with a gold clutch and pumps to highlight the metallic embellishments along the waistline and trim. And she radiated the bombshell confidence which she credited Scott’s designs for giving her.

“L’Wren’s clothes make you feel like a sexy pin-up, a sophisticated lady and a rockstar all at once,” she told the U.K.’s Telegraph in 2011. “She designs for how women want to look and for what men want to look at.”

5 Things We Already Know About Jessica Paré's Emmy Dress

Every time we see a new dress come down the runway at New York Fashion Week, we can’t help but wonder if we’ll see it on the red carpet during awards season, too. That’s why we had to ask Mad Men beauty Jessica Paré and her stylist, Cristina Ehrlich, about Paré’s upcoming Emmy ensemble when we chatted with them exclusively at the Jason Wu fashion show in New York City on Friday. And though they didn’t come right out and tell us what exactly she’ll be wearing, they did drop quite a few hints. And so, based on our conversation, here’s what we can conclude about her dress thus far.

1. It will be very, very tight. “I like to tell Cristina that if I can breathe or feel my toes, something is wrong,” she reveals.

2. That said, it will probably be loose around the armpits, because Paré tells us she needs ample room to, well, sweat. “I’m getting sweaty in the armpits just thinking about [the Emmys]. I’m so excited!” she gushes.

3. It may or may not top the dress that she wore last year. “My favorite red-carpet look of all time — and I think it will be my favorite one for a long time — is the dress Jason [Wu] made for me for the Emmys last year. It was a gorgeous piece, just the combination of textures and everything. I feel like such a woman in his clothes.”

Kiernan Shipka: I Don't Buy My Designer Dresses; I Mostly Just Look At Them Online

Kiernan Shipka, who plays little Sally Draper on the hit show Mad Men, may only be 13, but she’s already got one of the Hollywood closets we’d most like to raid.

“When it comes to clothes, I always look for something that’s fun and represents me,” Shipka told PEOPLE at Wednesday’s Chanel dinner honoring artists at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. “My style is modern and elegant with a little more of a twist. I look a million times better in something that I love instead of something that is just pretty and not my style.”

The young fashionista works with a stylist to help choose her chic, age-appropriate outfits, but ultimately she’s the final word on what she wears.

“I make sure to pick out everything and I approve all of it myself,” she says. “Fashion has always been something I’ve loved since I was little. I could spend all day looking [at] and talking about clothes.”

The teen has worn Oscar de la Renta, Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana to premieres and awards shows, so we had to ask: Are all those dresses just hanging in her closet?

“No, I don’t buy all this stuff,” she says with a laugh. “I mostly just look at them on the Internet. My regular wardrobe consists much more [of items] from Rag & Bone and a couple of good t-shirts from the Gap.”

And it sounds like a little Mad Men influence may have rubbed off on her, too. “I love to go vintage shopping in Los Angeles.” she says. “That’s my obsession right now.”

See Alexis Bledel's Engagement Ring!

Before proposing to Alexis Bledel, her Mad Men costar (and now husband-to-be) Vincent Kartheiser once said, “Girls, as much as they are independent, want on a certain level to have certain things.” Well, if Bledel is one of those girls and one of those “certain things” for her was a big, stunning diamond ring, she definitely got what she wanted.

The actress, 31, showed off her dazzling octagonal-shaped diamond, set in what appears to be platinum, for the first time at the premiere of Remembering Sunday in Century City, Calif., Wednesday evening.

The ring has a vintage vibe to it, appropriate considering the couple got to know each other on the set of Mad Men. (Bledel played Beth Dawes, who has an affair with Kartheiser’s character Pete Campbell.)

She debuted her bling with a positively modern Pamella Roland black-and-ivory cutout dress.

It’s the first marriage for both, but it’s not the first time Kartheiser proposed. The actor, 33, admitted he practiced the proposal on costars Elisabeth Moss and Jessica Paré before popping the question on Bledel in March.

“It was purely comedic but he was giving [Elisabeth] and I a facetious rendition of his planned proposal,” Paré told PEOPLE. “We were like, ‘Great! Lets do this one without cursing and without yelling!'”

Mad Men's Christina Hendricks Has How Many Pencil Skirts?!

There’s something to be said for learning on the job, as Christina Hendricks can attest. She’s definitely picked up a few things from playing Joan on Mad Men, now in its sixth season.

“[I've learned] more about confidence and trusting your decisions,” she says in the May issue of Flare magazine. “And about pencil skirts, which I now have, like, 75 of. I was like, ‘Why didn’t I know about this skirt before?'”

But the star, who says she’s really more of a “caftans” girl in her downtime, doesn’t want to be limited to just the ’60s-appropriate clothes her character wears so well. One of the perks of being famous, she says, is that “I get to wear much prettier clothes than I used to and I really like that perk.”

Among her favorite things to wear? “There are definitely designers that I just love and I just know work really well with my figure,” she tells Flare. “L’Wren Scott, Vivienne Westwood, Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera. Those are designers that you’ll always see me wear again and again.”

Though we’re obsessed with the costumes on Mad Men, we’ve heard those corsets and pencil skirts can be quite uncomfortable. Which is why actress Elisabeth Moss was excited to find out that the wardrobe for her new miniseries, Top of the Lake, was just the opposite of her usual ’60s look.

“It was honestly so awesome for me to be able to put on jeans and a T-shirt and a hoodie and boots,” Moss told PEOPLE at a recent Sundance Channel TCA event in Pasadena, Calif.

In Top of the Lake, Moss plays Robin Griffin, a New Zealand detective searching for a missing girl. “She’s super bad-ass,” Moss said of her character. “It was a dream to run and jump on lakes and shoot guns.”
