Ashley Tisdale has much to be excited about when it comes to life after East High School. Following the third installment of the popular High School Musical, Tisdale has focused on her CW show, Hellcats, in which she plays a cheerleader. And while she still loves her narcissistic character in HSM, Tisdale said there are certain things about Hellcats that she prefers. “It’s awesome to be able to work out for your job all the time,” Tisdale told PEOPLE of her role that often has her in sports bras and short shorts. “I am constantly working out with my trainer. I’m on a more healthy diet. I have a cheat day, though. It’s a very healthy way of living, I must say. It’s a lot of fun.” Her cheat food? “Something involving bread or pasta.” But the 25-year-old still embraces her days as a female antagonist on the Disney series, as well as her former cast mates. “The cast is growing up and we’re doing our own projects but I have to say there is a tight bond with all of us,” Tisdale told PEOPLE Sunday while hosting a party at Las Vegas’s Wet Republic. “We went through something that is so lucky and it’s something that does not happen every day and we have that connection. Zac Efron may have started the boy-bang trend back in his High School Musical days, but now that the actor is growing up, he seems to be kissing his signature shaggy do goodbye. Efron showed up to the premiere of his latest flick Charlie St. Cloud last night with his famous luxurious locks styled into a messy fauxhawk–calling all the attention to his dreamy baby blues. And while it will take us some time to get used to Zac’s new look, there is one lady out there who might be happy the boy bangs are a thing of the past: Vanessa Hudgens! Zac famously told Ellen Degeneres that his longtime gal pal actually prefers his hair slicked back, out of his face and heavy with product. We already know a few things about Vanessa Hudgens — how much we love her in the High School Musical movies, how well-dressed she always is and how adorable she is with boyfriend Zac Efron. But the star revealed 25 things about herself to SELF this month that you might not know, including tidbits on her fashion, beauty and workout habits. As far as shopping, she says her “biggest splurge was a purse from Louis Vuitton. Ashley Tisdale and I each got one in different colors when we were on tour in Mexico. We call it our friendship purse. I don’t want to say how much it cost. I don’t like revisiting that place.” But she will admit to loving shopping online (just like us!). “I’m an online shopaholic: ShopPlanetBlue.com, Shopbop.com, IntermixOnline.com. I love that you can see everything, rather than fishing through the racks. And the surprise of getting it in the mail is like a present to yourself.” And how does she keep herself looking so good in all her designer duds? “My secret to flat abs is pilates.” But she also loves the challenge of being in a class at the gym, saying “I like sitting in the front row of cycling class. I feel like everybody behind me is looking forward, and that pushes me to do my best. I look at myself in the mirror and get this really ferocious, angry look on my face like I’m about to kill someone. It’s crazy.” As for her beauty routine, she says less is more most of the time, “Sometimes I feel prettier without makeup. You take it off and you’re like, ‘Oh, there I am!’” But there are exceptions to every rule. “Red lips make me feel sexy. Vanessa Hudgens plays dress-up for the new issue of Glamour, on newsstands now, and gives them the dish on her style success. Unlike her High School Musical character who prefers more prim and proper clothing, the budding fashionista tells the magazine that she likes to “have fun with fashion.” The young star is already a “Christian Louboutin freak,” but promises she is not a label snob — in fact she loves more moderately priced lines like Free People. In Hollywood, it seems like the more in love a couple is, the more they start to resemble each other. Between High School Muscial 2 and Hairspray, Zac Efron has spent most of his summer on the red carpet.
