Move over Victoria, Marc Jacobs has a new BFF!

This Sunday, Miss Piggy will wear custom Louis Vuitton to host The Orange BAFTA Red Carpet show. ”Moi on the Red Carpet at the BAFTAs wearing Louis Vuitton designed by my dear friend Marc Jacobs,” she says in a release. “We have a word for that in Hollywood: Va-va-va-voom.”

The dress (above) features an iconic ’50s-inspired silhouette with an embellished bustier and a sequined bow. The cleft-foot hottie will also squeeze into bow-topped satin heels and an embossed clutch.

The BAFTAs, the British awards ceremony highlighting the best and brightest in entertainment, airs on BBC1 and can be viewed online on Monday. Visit People.com to see the best of the red carpet (which is sure to include Miss Piggy), too!

DEMURE VS. DARING: WEIGH IN ON SUNDAY’S GRAMMY STYLE PICKS! 

Though Mad Men‘s fifth season doesn’t premiere until March 25, Banana Republic is offering fans a second capsule collection inspired by the hit drama.

Alongside the show’s costume designer Janie Bryant, the retailer has conceived 40 pieces of retro-style apparel and jewelry, which will be available online and in stores March 1.

“Spring delivers a whole new palette and gave us an excuse to draw from different scenes and wardrobe from the show as inspiration,” the brand’s creative director, Simon Kneen, says in a release. Evidence of which can be found in the newly released campaign images depicting a stoic, and undeniably chic, couple.

“We’ve given fans the tools to create their own looks, just like their favorite Mad Men characters,” adds Bryant. The collection will take you “from the office to country club and everywhere in between.”

With 100 episodes — and an approximated 100,000 outfits! — there’s always been plenty of room for some Gossip Girl costume drama.

“There are a lot of Chuck outfits that are up for discussion,” wardrobe designer Eric Daman (left) admits to PEOPLE. ”Some people like to take things a little too seriously,” he adds, laughing. “There isn’t one ugly stepchild out there.”

Perhaps Daman is biased; over the course of five years, he’s watched the gang graduate from a shoestring budget to show-stopping couture. Since season one, there’s been a “huge turnaround,” he explains. “The star power has definitely helped that. On the budget we have, there would be no way to do what we do.”

What Daman does do, in fact, is create characters through costumes. And he does so with conviction. When we first met Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), she was doing a “flirty, girly thing,” which evolved into a sartorial “coat of arms” in college, comprised of structured looks from Victoria Beckham and Narciso Rodriguez. But as GG‘s resident princess evolved, she “reverted to an old world glamour,” says Daman, evidence of which is apparent in tonight’s royal wedding episode (8 p.m. EST). Looks like Rihanna is inking more than her knuckles these days!

PEOPLE has confirmed that the singer has signed on to executive produce a new fashion series for the U.K.’s Sky Living channel, airing this summer.

“Synonymous with cutting-edge style, [Rihanna] is searching Britain for the next generation of raw, undiscovered designer talent,” the network says on its official website. “The show will recognize the increasing influence pop stars have on mainstream trends.”

Alongside Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts (whom RiRi reportedly hand selected for the role), the show will challenge contestants to create looks for a series of famous faces. In fact, final task involves designing a one-of-a-kind outfit for Rihanna to wear during a summer 2012 performance in London’s Hyde Park.

“I have been very fortunate to work with some truly amazing designers and stylists throughout my career,” Rihanna says in the release. “I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts during the course of the show.”

When it comes to playing fashion critic, Chloë Moretz isn’t bashful.

“People who dress like they want to be on Tumblr, I call them Tumblrinas,” she tells ASOS magazine.

The Hugo star also has a knack for labeling her own style. “I have a lot of looks,” she admits, “but right now I’m really into grunge. Messy hair, black heels. I get Michelle Pfeiffer with it.”

But that doesn’t mean the 14-year-old has a veteran star’s budget. “I love going to Topshop, Urban Outfitters and American Apparel,” she gushes. “My mom won’t let me buy high-fashion stuff unless it’s TJ Maxx — or a birthday occasion.”

In the clip above, costume designer Eric Daman talks about creating TV land’s very own royal wedding, and selecting a stunning Vera Wang gown. “[It's] so couture but has that old-world feeling to it that makes sense for who Blair Waldorf is, becoming the Princess of Monaco,” he explains. “I think what the wedding is going to look like is going to set the bar for what the 100th episode is.”

That’s right — Monday’s wedding episode also happens to be the show’s milestone 100th. And in that time, Daman estimates the cast has gone through a seriously staggering number of costume changes. For actress Kristen Bell, playing a 1980s TV reporter in the upcoming film Big Miracle was a chance to emulate her fashion idol: her mother.

“I grew up in the ’80s but it wasn’t my prime. But I had older sisters and I definitely looked up to the way my mom dressed,” Bell told reporters during a press event Friday at the Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica. “The first time I realized, ‘Oh, look at these beautiful, stylish women in my life,’ was around the time the [Big Miracle] story happened.”

Director Ken Kwapis calls Big Miracle — based on the real-life attempts to save a family of whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in 1988 Alaska — a “period piece, as weird as that sounds.” And while the film co-stars Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski, it’s Bell’s eager reporter that dons the more stereotypical 1980s fashions in the film.

“It was really fun working with the costume designer to create all these amazing shoulder pads and all these cool pastels,” Bell explained. “And [my character's] hair obviously had to be big so we did hot rollers every day which was fun and then teased the crap out of it.”

One awesome last accessory tied all Bell’s outfits together, though: press-ons.

“I wore press-on nails,” she admitted, “because everybody had long, pink fingernails in the ’80s.”

Big Miracle opens nation wide Feb. 3.

Watch that lighter, Cinna! Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive first look at Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark’s (Josh Hutcherson) flammable black Hunger Games unitards — and though unlit, they’re pretty cool. The costumes, designed in party by Everdeen’s stylist Cinna (Lenny Kravitz), are eventually set aflame, and the two young stars dazzle the people of Panem as they ride through town the night before the games begin.

Last month, InStyle asked several designers to imagine the fiery costumes, with Christian Siriano, Charlotte Ronson and Nicole Miller creating super-cool yellow, orange and red interpretations of the look. Though we’ll have to wait until the film’s release on March 23rd to see the costumes aglow, this first look is definitely getting us excited. Tell us: How did you envision the flammable costumes?

We obviously love fashion, but the shows thrown our way — Project Runway, 24 Hour Catwalk, The Fashion Show – can sometimes leave our heads spinning (and our DVRs overfilled!). So why should we watch the upcoming NBC show Fashion Star? What makes the series — hosted by Elle MacPherson and featuring mentors Nicole Richie, Jessica Simpson and John Varvatos — that different than the rest?

“What makes the show so original is as America is watching the clothes go down the runway, they can order those clothes immediately online that night or go in the stores the next day and buy it,” Richie explains to FabSugar. “We’re talking about immediate fashion, accessible fashion, at an accessible price.”

Richie says she and her co-mentors — all heads of successful fashion lines — will err on the side of friendliness when critiquing the competing designers, too. “We are really leaving our personal opinions to ourselves,” she promises. “It’s about encouraging [the contestants] to go with their gut and know the business, and be fearless in the competition.” Reason enough to tune in? For sure!

VOTE ON THE BEST STAR LOOKS IN OUR ‘FASHION FACEOFF’

In only five years, Jason Wu has dressed a First Lady, been inducted into the CFDA and debuted a collection for Target, but that doesn’t mean he’s used to the lifestyle.

“A few years ago all I wanted to do was succeed in fashion,” he reveals on Wednesday’s premiere episode of Out of Character with Krista Smith on USA (airing at 11 p.m. EST). “I didn’t think my work would be in the museum,” he says of the inaugural gown he designed for Michelle Obama, which currently lives at the Smithsonian.

Though he never fathomed Obama would select his dress — and effectively change his life forever — Wu always designs with a person in mind. “I think it’s important to have a connection with the person you’re dressing,” he shares. “Fashion is so personal and I put a lot of me into everything that I do.”

To that end, the designer, who went from a 100-square-foot apartment (“a cabinet”) to a 9,000-square-foot studio in New York’s garment district, is still involved in every aspect of his ever-growing business. “I’m so hands on. I’m on my knees doing the fitting all the time, for every single fitting. I don’t want to miss any part of it, because that’s why I’m in this industry,” he gushes. “I wanted to do that.”

A far cry from her elegant red carpet persona, Catherine Zeta-Jones is turning heads with her on-screen look in the casino caper, Lay the Favorite.

In the flick, Zeta-Jones plays Tulip, a gambler’s wife with a penchant for too-tight gym clothes. Project Runway is always full of designer drama and crazy challenges, but judge Isaac Mizrahi says to expect more of both on Project Runway All Stars, airing Thursday night on Lifetime.

“It’s more drama because you’re talking about these people who have already gone the distance, but not exactly won, so they’re kind of being challenged again to try another time,” he tells PEOPLE. “And the tension in the air was so thick you could cut it with a knife.”

As for the challenges, “I think they made them harder on themselves,” Mizrahi says. “The stakes were raised because they had such incredible talent.”

Though a lot about the show — challenges, guest judges — is under wraps, Mizrahi (who recently got married!) says the first episode is “so great. The first thing they do is show us what they’re made of — a fashion show of clothes they’ve made,” he explains. “Then there’s the challenge, but it’s so fun. It’s amazing how you see their minds work.”

However, the fun never lasts for long. “It’s hard to see the first person go home,” he admits. “And week after week it just got more difficult for us.” (Co-judges include Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, model Angela Lindvall and Marie Claire editor-in-chief Joanna Coles.)

The finale won’t be associated with New York Fashion Week, like typical Project Runway seasons, but the final episode “is pretty grand,” Mizrahi promises. “It’s a fashion show between three designers, and it’s very engrossing. It’ll be an incredible thing to watch.”

Mizrahi never played favorites — “It was important to be objective during this process,” he says — but admits to taking a certain shine to a few designers. “Your human, of course you have favorites,” he shares. “But in the end sometimes I had to vote against my favorites, because they weren’t so great.”

But in general, the level of talent — and cutthroat nature of the competition — will keep viewers coming back for more. “It’s not like there’s one or two designers you peg [as winners] from the very beginning,” Mizrahi promises. “They really had us on our toes. We didn’t know until the last minute who was going to win that competition — I promise you.” Catch Project Runway All Stars Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.

VOTE ON STAR STYLE IN ‘FASHION FACEOFF’

We knew the gown Carolina Herrera created specifically for the Breaking Dawn wedding took six months to design and that it left Robert Pattinson floored, but in the new issue of Town & Country Weddings, the designer reveals Kristen Stewart‘s very personal reaction.

“We did three fittings. When she initially put on the dress and looked over her shoulder into the mirror, she was very moved,” Herrera tells the mag, on stands Wednesday. “In that moment she was not an actress or a character in a film but instead a bride, and a happy one at that.”

The dress seen in the sketch (left) is what the designer calls a “union between Stephenie [Meyer's] description in the book and the Herrera bridal aesthetic” — something she has been perfecting for 25 years.

“I took into consideration the character of Bella and Kristen’s portrayal of her, and what this fantasy character would choose to wear for the most important day of her life,” she explains of the masterpiece, which retails for $35,000. “It’s made of a crepe satin with two inserts on the front and beautiful silk thread topstitching. The neckline is a slight V, just enough to see the collarbones. The back is oval-shaped, with a Chantilly lace border veiled in tulle. It’s very romantic, and when all the details come together, it creates a vision specific to Bella’s style and personality.”

CHECK OUT THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST STAR ENGAGEMENT RINGS

Pink poufs, big braids, out-there dos — there were lots of crazy hairstyles mentioned in the Hunger Games books, and bringing those looks to life was quite the challenge for Linda Flowers, lead hairstylist on the set of the first film.

“There was so much hair-color work — more than any movie I have ever worked on,” Flowers tells BeautyHigh.com. But the volume of work was exciting, too. “There were no guidelines of what this future looked like style-wise, so I knew I could be creative,” she adds.

Drawing some inspiration from old Hollywood, Flowers styled Elizabeth Banks, who plays the eccentric Effie Trinket in the film. “She was sophisticated yet whimsical,” she says, adding, “How often do you get to put pink-and-green hair on someone?”

But the most iconic hairstyle of the series has to be Katniss Everdeen’s signature braid (above), created by her mother and replicated by her stylist in the books. “[It] took about 20 minutes,” Flowers explains. “I first used the TopStyler by InStyler to create texture in [Jennifer Lawrence's] hair, then I did a French braid from her left side, scooping down her nape and over to the right side. I tried to create something a little more interesting than just a side braid.” The Hunger Games hits theaters March 23. Tell us: Which Hunger Games character is your favorite?

VOTE ON STAR HAIR CHANGES IN ‘WHAT’S HER BEST HAIR?’

Still recovering from your big New Year’s weekend? Why not settle into the couch tonight with some popcorn and Bravo’s newest reality show, It’s a Brad, Brad World. The series follows former Rachel Zoe protégé (and now kinda-nemesis) Brad Goreski as he takes on the world of styling solo.

We recently spoke to Goreski about his upcoming show; here’s what the ever-preppy fashionisto (and new Kate Spade New York stylist!) had to say:

1. It’s about more than just style. “My personal life and family life is a big focus,” Goreski says. “I really wanted to show people the other side of my life … the great people, my great boyfriend and my family. The different puzzle pieces that make up who I am. I hope the audience enjoys them as much as I do.”

2. He’s not sure he’ll spawn any catchphrases. Zoe has “bananas,” “lit-erally” and “I die,” so what about Goreski? “I have no idea,” he says when asked about a good one-liner. “I haven’t seen the show, so I’m not sure what comes up over and over. We say ‘freaking out’ a lot, but it’s a daily occurrence, every minute.”

3. You’re going to see him stress. “Being a boss in general was something I had to learn,” he explains. But developing the confidence necessary to be a stylist — not just an assistant — took some learning, too. “That was a major transition for me, and a theme we explore on the show,” he says.

4. Having an assistant wasn’t always easy. “Someone told me early on … if you want to succeed in business, you have to learn to delegate,” Goreski shares. “I’ve been working on the way that I do that — I can be passive-aggressive in the way I ask to have things done, so I’m trying to be more direct now.” Though it was at one time hard for Goreski to pass off tasks to his assistant, he says he’s working on giving away more responsibilities.

5. He hopes to show what really happens in the styling world. “One of the reasons I wanted to do the show [was to] show the actual process behind getting a photo shoot, getting a client … all the work that goes into it,” he says, adding that after he left Zoe, he didn’t have any clients for several months. “The show is very focused on me building my business … so I think people will really get to see how I’ve worked, how I’ve developed and that I’m still developing.”

Best known for pin-straight strands and a year-round tan, Jersey Shore‘s Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola recently bared it all for a “makeunder” courtesy of xojane.com.

“I’m the slowest in the house to get ready,” Giancola reveals, citing fake hair as a major time suck. “I’ve done the clip-ons, I’ve done the weave where it’s sewn into my head, I’ve done fused, and now I have tape-ins.”

So though she usually blow dries her hair (extensions and all), then straightens it and then teases at the crown, she let her natural assets shine for the shoot. ”Sammi has a great natural wave and bend to her hair,” hairstylist Shannon Grey Williams says. “I just tousled it and put a little Aveda Pure Abundance Potion in it to give it lift at the roots, and to give the wave definition.”

The rest of the “makeunder,” including highlighter, cheek stain and mascara, took a total of five minutes. Tell us: What do you think of Giancola’s makeunder?

His tenure as conflicted gangster Jimmy Darmody on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire may have come to an end, but Michael Pitt has found a new role — as the face of Prada’s spring menswear collection.

The recently released images show the full-mouthed actor looking uncharacteristically comfortable in front of the camera. Pitt, who wanted to be a carpenter before making it big on Dawson’s Creek, has never fronted a fashion brand and reportedly turned down an offer to stump for Miu Miu in 2005.

Wearing a cartoonish print button down, colorful scarf and tab-front trousers, the actor (and sometimes singer) looks just a tad more approachable than the tortured characters he usually plays. Tell us: What do you think of Pitt’s Prada ads?

“He’s into his hair now,” stylist Ken Paves (left) gushes of rocker Josh Krajcik, whose locks have undergone a formidable change. “He told me he never knew he had so many options or such good hair. We’ve actually taken his length up four inches since he started.” Groomer Kristofer Buckle (right) reveals, “I don’t think that television does Josh’s big brown eyes justice.”

Melanie Amaro (center), whom Simon Cowell predicts for the win, has also undergone a tress-formation. “I am addicted to shine serum and hydrating [her] hair,” Paves says. “She’s loving the added honey highlights and length!” And she’s not the only one: “Her mom likes it, we’ve talked on the phone, after all, her mom is a hairdresser too!” Ken reveals. Buckle chimes in that her smooth, unblemished skin “makes my job easier.”

But what about Chris Rene, the former trash collector who became an unexpected sex symbol? “We did grow his hair out on top for versatility,” Paves says. “Chris told me that all his boys back in Santa Cruz are digging his new look and growing out there hair. That’s cool!”
