Valentine’s Day Gifts

Looking for Valentine's Day Gifts That Are the Opposite of Cheesy?

Feb/03/2014 at 06:00 AM ET

We’re guessing the answer to that question is either “yes” or “I’m not, but my boyfriend/husband is … or at least he ought to be.” Well, look no further. We found a jewelry collection that’s romantic and sweet, no cheese. Order the necklace, bangle or ring for yourself — or leave this link up on his computer screen as a not-at-all subtle hint.

Editors here first discovered these while at an event for the jewelry brand Sarah Chloe, and we immediately knew we had to share them with you all. And as always, we’re hooking you up with a 10 percent off $50 or more and free shipping. Just enter PEOPLE10 at checkout if you’re a first-time Joyus shopper (or you know, let your guy know to use the code).

Happy shopping and happier Valentine’s Day!

Jan/28/2014 at 04:11 PM ET

Valentine’s Day tends to be a tricky holiday to navigate, whether you’re shopping for a new boyfriend (what says “Serious but not too serious?”), a longterm love (“Wow, socks again?”) or just your BFF (how do you shop for the girl who has everything?). While we’d be just as happy to return to the days when everyone got a Snoopy Valentine and a mini bag of M&Ms, we’re not sure how that would fly with the main men and ladies in our lives. So we rounded up a list of the presents we’re planning to give to our fiancé, sister, new boo and more. Read on, and tell us your best Valentine’s Day gift ideas in the comments!

A Victoria's Secret Angel's Valentine's Day Isn't So Different from Ours!

Feb/06/2013 at 12:30 PM ET

Eating chocolate in your underwear is a pretty good way to pass the time — and it seems Victoria’s Secret Angels (including Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldrige and Candice Swanepoel) agree with us on that count. In this cute video, the lingerie-clad supermodels indulge in treats from the seven-piece Vosges Haut Chocolate collection, which you can get free in Victoria’s Secret stores with any purchase over $75. And because we wanted more dirt on how an Angel spends Valentine’s Day, we spoke with the lovely Swanepoel about how she likes to celebrate.

Q: Have you ever had a bad Valentine’s Day?
A: I have been disappointed before, but I think every girl has been at some point or another.

Q: Lingerie, chocolate or flowers?
A: Any of those are great. I like surprises! I do love flowers and chocolates though — they’re just a nice, simple treat.

Adriana Lima Wants to Get Engaged Again for Valentine's Day

Adriana Lima Valentine's Day Ideas
Courtesy Victoria’s Secret

Valentine’s Day is more than just a Hallmark occasion for Adriana Lima, whose anniversary with NBA star husband Marko Jaric is February 14. The new mom shared with PEOPLE recently just how she keeps the holiday special—and seriously sexy! Instead of grand gestures, the Victoria’s Secret Angel prefers to focus on the intimate details, confessing that the sexiest fragrance is, “the scent of skin” and that music by composer Michael Galasso gets her in a romantic mood. While good lingerie is paramount (she likes the Victoria’s Secret Love Balconet push up bra paired with a black lace thong), Lima is less interested in her outfit, explaining, “What’s worn on top is not important, since it won’t be on for long.” But regardless of racy rationalizations, the star is still a traditionalist. “I would love my husband to propose to marry me again,” she admits, “With a ring and everything.” And the age-old rivalry of flowers versus candy? Settled. “Both,” she says. “For me, flowers and candies should always go together.” We love a woman who knows what she wants.
