eBay is using its online auction powers for a good cause — a fashionable one, that is! The site is teaming up with various breast cancer organizations throughout October, featuring glam auction items from Fergie and other big stars during its eighth annual “Make it Pink” fundraiser.

Hosted by eBay Giving Works, eBay’s charitable arm, the event will allow shoppers to bid on different big-ticket items each week, such as the Christian Louboutin black suede lace-up boots and Marc Jacobs navy blue satin zipper dress worn by Fergie (above).

“Pink means something to many of us. You may have been touched by breast cancer,” the singer said in a statement. “I have, since both my mother and father are cancer survivors and I lost my grandmother to cancer three years ago. As a global ambassador for the Avon Foundation for Women, I am asking you to help make a difference for women, men and their families in the fight against breast cancer.”

Other items available in the high-profile auction include a New Year’s Eve VIP experience with Ryan Seacrest in N.Y.C. Not ready to open your wallet that wide? There are other ways to give, too: shop pink-branded goods on eBay now; donate any dollar amount using PayPal at checkout; or sell something on eBay and donate from one to 100 percent of the sale price to an organization.

Additionally, shoppers can visit eBay’s Facebook page throughout October to share a photo or short story explaining why breast cancer awareness is important to them. For every story shared, the auction site will donate one dollar (up to $20,000) to a nonprofit.

According to WWD,

SHOP BACK-TO-SCHOOL STAR STYLE

May the force be with you … to fight cancer! That’s the message of Stand Up To Cancer‘s newest T-shirts, a Star Wars-themed collection just launched to celebrate the Blu-ray release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

Celebrities like Emma Stone (above), Seth Rogen, Zach Galifianakis, Aziz Ansari and more recently joined Star Wars alumnus Samuel L. Jackson to recreate classic scenes from the films while wearing the shirts, all to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

The exclusive T-shirts ($25) are available for purchase now through the end of the year, and all proceeds will benefit Stand Up To Cancer. She may have her own vintage-inspired home line, but that doesn’t mean Rachel Bilson has stopped shopping for darling décor. At the launch of the Derek Lam for eBay collection in New York Tuesday night, Bilson told PEOPLE that she’s always on the hunt for vintage treasures — and uses the online auction site as a tool. “I am an eBay shopper,” she admitted. “But I have no patience, and if you’re waiting for a bid, it’s so nerve-racking, but I think you can find amazing things.” The actress said she’s found a lot of decorative pieces on the site, including light fixtures and a weather vane. “When I say I found it, I actually lost out on it at the last second,” she explained. “But it was one of the better finds.” Bilson, decked out in the Derek Lam for eBay “Boho” halter dress, praised the designer’s mini collection, available on eBay now for $175-$295. “I think it’s so cool that he did a collaboration [with eBay] with clothes,” she said. “It’s such a great idea.” Lam, for his part, said he was thinking of summer when he created the wares. “Women always tell me they love my dresses,” he told PEOPLE. “And I love designing dresses! Everybody needs a great dress in the summer, so that was the inspiration.” Lam, who also admitted to shopping on eBay for “the best deals,” said his greatest online get was a pair of out-of-production Nike sneakers. “Someone said to just put in the registration number and you’ll find it, and I did,” he recalled. “[It was] the last pair I was able to find anywhere in my size.” Tell us: What’s your greatest eBay find? –Reporting by Asher Fogle

And yesterday, the L.A. expat brought her style savvy to downtown N.Y.C. to help launch eBay LookBook, a shopable street-style website, and of course, share some of her must-have fall items. “It’s all kind of represented here,” she said of the glimmering racks hung with dress belts, jewelry and shoes–sourced on eBay by celeb stylist Annabel Tollman–that stylish passers-by were popping in to try on and be photographed in for the online look book. “I’m a sucker for leopard,” she continued, raving about a new pair of ankle booties in the print. “And also there’s a whole glam glitz section during the day. Sequins during the day I think is a fun work look as well.” And while Whitney still loves Los Angeles, when it comes to style, New York has won her heart. “I think it’s much more fashion-forward out here. I think people take a lot more pride in how they look and how much time they get ready and everything,” she told PEOPLE. Banana Republic may have just launched a Mad Men-inspired collection, but ’60s lovers can now get their vintage fix with actual dresses from the hit AMC show! Mad Men‘s producer, Lionsgate, has joined forces with Auction Cause to host the first official Mad Men charity auction to benefit the Lung Cancer Program at City of Hope. The 10-day eBay auction begins August 12 at 7pm PST and features vintage ’60s furniture and props from the show’s Sterling Cooper ad agency, as well as three iconic dresses worn by Mad Men‘s leading ladies—including the metallic brocade dress worn by Bobbie Barrett for a night out on the town with Don, a teal evening gown worn by Betty at the Stork Club, and a green frock worn by Joan in the famous lawn-mower episode. “This auction offers Mad Men fans an exciting new way to connect with the series while helping to support City of Hope’s important work in research and treatment of lung cancer,” said Sandra Stern, Lionsgate’s COO of TV. The queen of daytime television will be auctioning off personal items from her own closet on eBay in hopes of raising funds for Oprah’s Leadership Academy of Girls, the all-girl school in South Africa that she founded. The talk show host, with the help of O Magazine’s creative director, Adam Glassman, recently cleaned house and chose 150 pieces from her closet ranging from accessories to shoes to donate toward the cause. One of the items will even be a jacket she wore to Cophenhagen as part of the Chicago delegation to win a bid for the 2016 Olympics. “In the past, I’ve gotten talked into a lot of trends,” she says in the magazine. “But I don’t have to be on anyone’s best-dressed list. So where does Aphrodite, the original and glamorous goddess of love, find fashion inspiration? eBay, of course. At least that’s where Jaime Murray, who plays the timeless goddess in the CW’s Valentine, looks for it. “I’m an eBay whore,” she told PEOPLE recently on the set off her new show, which premiered yesterday, about a family of Greek gods who work to bring soul mates together. Since the immortal character she plays is thousands of years old, her clothes have to strike a balance between modern and vintage. “There’s echoes of that draping, that asymmetrical one-shouldered thing,” she says, “and echoes of the 1940s and ’70s.” While surfing the auction site, Murray also keeps her co-star Autumn Reeser in mind. “She’s always sending me eBay links to vintage clothing,” says Reeser, who plays Phoebe, the goddess of the Oracle. “I’m kind of a California hippie girl, myself, so I’m really enjoying Phoebe’s wardrobe.” We have to admit, we’re pretty obsessive eBay fans ourselves. Not all your clothes from last year — or even last season — can safely translate into the coming one. 1. Donate Them: Organizations like Goodwill.org and the Salvation Army will take donations of almost everything. Give your old work clothes to Dress For Success, which collects business clothes for low-income women. And for prom gowns that will never be worn again check out the Glass Slipper Project.

2. Consign Them: For items that are clean and in good condition visit a local shop where you can make 40 to 60 percent of a sale if your item is bought.

3. EBAY Them: Ebay.com style director, Constance White, says to attract buyers “photograph the back and front of your item on a body or form; be sure the photo is well lit and against a plain, light-colored background. Always state if the item is new or used, the brand and size. Finally, note any damage, no matter how small.”

4. Swap Them: Organize your own swap group among friends or check out Swapstyle.com where you can trade with women around the world.

Kate Middleton has been shopping on the high street again and everyone (including us) loves it! Prince William’s girlfriend, who turned 25 this week, was snapped on Tuesday morning as she left her house for work (at retail chain Jigsaw) in a black and white retro tunic dress from Topshop, £40 (or $78). The accessories buyer put her skills to use by teaming with a classic black blazer, opaque tights and suede knee high boots… and voila, the dress instantly becomes less sixties swing and more princess chic. After the photos surfaced in the British press, the dress sold out completely from Topshop, and it’s already turning up on Ebay!
