George Clooney might have been the star of the show at the Fantastic Mr. Fox premiere in London on Wednesday, but it was his Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis’s red carpet outfit that really wowed the crowd. The Milan-based television presenter remained loyal to her roots with a head-to-toe Italian outfit. Wearing a long black asymmetric dress with leather detailing by Emilio Pucci, fresh from the label’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection accessorized with Giorgio Armani heels and a Corto Moltedo ‘Susan Bow’ clutch bag, the look was Dolce Vita glam at its best. Gabriele Corto Moltedo, who has a celebrity fan base including Madonna and Naomi Campbell, couldn’t be happier that Canalis chose to wear his bag. “Elisabetta is as graceful as she is sexy,” he tells PEOPLE from his Paris boutique. “Plus, she is super fun and a fellow Italian, it’s perfect!” While stylist and pal Valentina Micchetti tells PEOPLE, “We always choose her outfits together. We are both Italian so, of course, we love Italian designers,” adding “plus we have personal friendships with the designers, so it’s only natural in our eyes.” And Clooney on her arm really does add the perfect finishing touch — bellissima! –Monique Jessen

It’s not just the ladies who have a jam-packed day of primping before hitting the red carpet. Surrogates actor Jordan Belfi gave PEOPLE.com the rundown of how he calmed his nerves and prepped for the premiere of his new flick, costarring Bruce Willis.

7 a.m.: Take advantage of the perfect weather with a morning run alongside the beach in Venice.

7:45 a.m.: Breakfast on the patio of The Firehouse Cafe.

9 a.m.: Weight-train at the gym. A good workout always energizes me for a big day.

11 a.m.: Haircut at The Salon by Maxime in Beverly Hills.

1 p.m.: Do a phone interview with a magazine about my career, my character Adam Davies on Entourage, the upcoming Entourage season finale and the Surrogates.

2:45 p.m.: Pick up my suit from Starworks. It’s a gray pinstripe SPURR suit by one of my favorite menswear designers, Simon Spurr. It fits perfectly — which is good news since the premiere is only a few hours away!

Everyone dreams of attending a major award show like the Emmys, but what happens when you not only get to go, but you actually present on-stage? We asked Fringe star Anna Torv about her debut Emmy experience and how she picked her dazzling Marc Bouwer dress. She tells PEOPLE, “On Fringe, I spend so much time in black and grey suits and don’t have the opportunity to dress up or wear anything with bright color. So when I first saw the Marc Bouwer dress, I was definitely intrigued. It was surprisingly more comfortable than I thought it would be.” And comfortable is a good thing when you have a few nerves going in to the night. “As I’ve never presented on the Emmys before, let alone attended an event of such magnitude, I was in awe about being part of the night. It really felt like I crawled inside my television.” And just like all of us watching the red carpet, Anna got to see the stars up-close, which had a surprising side effect. “I relaxed my nerves about walking the red carpet when I saw a whole sea of talented actors and understood it wasn’t about me. For me, watching the parade was all the fun of the evening.” We definitely had a great time watching her glide down the red carpet like a pro. Heidi Klum is ready to do her runway walk down the Emmy Awards red carpet, and — weeks away from giving birth to her new daughter — she’s thrilled she won’t be sucking in her tummy. “The great thing about being pregnant and going to these things is that I don’t have to suck my stomach in,” the supermodel and Project Runway host told PEOPLE at Los Angeles Confidential’s pre-Emmy party. “It’s fabulous! I can let it all out.” Klum, who’s nominated as Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program, revealed that she’ll be wearing a Marchesa gown designed especially for her by Georgina Chapman at Klum’s request. She said she hasn’t put too much thought into prepping around her pregnancy for the big day. “It wasn’t really hard for me, but it was hard for the woman that designed a dress for me,” she laughed about going glam with a baby on board. “She started about two or three months ago and that’s kind of difficult…It’s black because I figure, at eight-and-a-half months, black is better! I think it’s elegant and it’s slimming.” As far as returning to those tummy-sucking-in days, Klum says she doesn’t have any target date to have her famous body ready for bikini and lingerie shoots. “I was asked by Victoria’s Secret if it is possible, if I’m going to make it to their show,” she said. “You never know how you are afterwards, so you kind of have to play it by ear and see what happens. So far – knock on wood – everything was always great. I felt great afterwards and I loved every minute of it, even the sleepless nights of getting up every two hours. But let’s see what happens. As the night’s fashion correspondent for MTV, Ashley Greene got to turn a critical eye on her fellow fashionistas. The New Moon star puts Beyonce, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift on her best dressed list. “In a night where silver, gold and black metallic minis ruled the red carpet, Beyonce stood out in her short red plunging [Roberto Cavalli] mini dress,” Ashley tells PEOPLE. “It was so sexy, yet completely tasteful at the same time.” And while many starlets went for sparkle, it was all about Katy’s mini by The Blonds for Ashley. “There were a lot of sparkly mini dresses, but Katy’s was my favorite,” she says.”The spikes rocked it up a bit and the fit was incredible on her body.” As for Taylor, Ashley admired her for channeling her inner princess. “Taylor looked stunning in her floor-length [Kaufman Franco] gown. I loved that she was one of the few who chose to wear a long dress — she looked straight out of a fairytale,” says Ashley. And, of course, Ashley loved her hunky New Moon co-star Taylor Lautner who walked the red carpet in a sleek Calvin Klein Collection suit. “He looked so handsome in his suit and I’m pretty sure all the fans agreed!” We definitely do!
