Costume Designer Janie Bryant on Creating Eva Longoria's Telenovela Style: 'I Was Inspired by Jennifer Lopez'

Dec/15/2015 at 02:21 PM ET

If you’ve become more aware than ever of the costumes on your favorite TV show, chances are you have Janie Bryant to thank. She singlehandedly sparked a national crazy for ’60s style thanks to her picture-perfect period costumes for the show. Audience fervor for the show’s mod looks, many of which she made from scratch or reconstructed out of vintage finds, even landed Bryant her very own Banana Republic collection. Now the costume designer is bringing her superb eye for detail to bear on a very different decade (and type of show): Eva Longoria’s new half-hour comedy, Telenovela. We spoke with the queen of style drama about all of the glitter, glamour and the endless parade of gowns we can expect to see this season.

These Sparkly New Ear Climbers Are Perfect for Any Occasion

Dec/15/2015 at 06:00 AM ET

Ear climbers are the hottest trend in jewelry right now. We’re seeing them on every major Hollywood red carpet from your favorite stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson. And luckily, we just found a pair featuring a cool new design (that’s just as stunning as the star’s) without a celeb-size budget.

These pavé-encrusted pieces are perfect for two reasons. They cost under $50 and can be worn just about anywhere. The delicate sparkle is just as appropriate for the office as they are for a night out. Plus the come in silver or gold which means they match with any outfit.

But what really makes the ear climber the “it” piece of the moment, is because it looks beautifully glam, super edgy and still only requires one piercing.

Plus, this double “x” design is brand new, so you can get a leg up on the celeb-loved piece before the stars!

Every Jewelry Box Needs a Set of These Stylish Ring Cuffs

Dec/07/2015 at 12:16 PM ET

Negative-space jewelry is having a major moment right now. First we saw it in bracelet-form, and now it’s moving into rings. And when we found out that one of our favorite jewelers created a set of three ring cuffs, it immediately went on our holiday shopping lists. (Watch the video below to find out why!)

The real unique aspect about this Jessica Elliot design is that it mixes the perfect combination of masculine and feminine thanks to the delicate Swarovski jewels offsetting the oversize round band. (Which means it compliments anyone’s personal style!) And since we can purchase one band (for $40) or the whole set (which comes in gold, black and opal, $90) it makes it one of those no-brainer holiday gift ideas.

If you still need convincing, consider that Jessica Elliot has a ton of celeb fans (not to mention she’s a style editor’s go-to)!

Nicole Kidman: Academy Award winner, high-fashion icon, punk rock alien. Okay, so that third characteristic is a new one, but if anyone’s going to convince us she’s an edgy extraterrestrial, it’s Kidman’s David Bowie-circa-Labyrinth-esque outfit she just wore on the set of her new movie.

Erin Andrews' DWTS Photo Diary: The Finale Look Channeled Princess Elsa (and Carrie Bradshaw!)

Nov/25/2015 at 11:29 AM ET

Dancing with the Stars co-host Erin Andrews has shared every single style step throughout season 21 with us. She stepped out of her comfort zone on more than one occasion, with micro minis and major sparkle, and has given us new meaning to the term “hair envy” with her signature sexy/disheveled waves. And even though the season’s sadly come to an end (Bindi Irwin won last night!) Andrews kept to her word and saved the best dress for last (we’d say any dress that makes a girl feel like a Princess and Carrie Bradshaw is a home run). Read all about her showstopping look straight from her and her glam squad, below!
