The last time Kaley Cuoco Sweeting sported a bob on her Instagram, it was a major fakeout (though that certainly didn’t stop us from doing a double-take). Now the Big Bang Theory star has done it again, posting another shot of herself with a short, tousled crop — but this time, it’s the real deal. (Maybe that faux bob was just a trial run?)

Jada Pinkett Smith Gets a Pixie Cut: Are You Loving Her Short New Do?

Apr/23/2014 at 12:15 PM ET

Jada Pinkett Smith loves to change up her hair. She’s gone from a half-shaved head style, to a chic asymmetrical lob to her latest look: a cute pixie cut! The actress transformed her long tresses into a super-short cut.

Smith left the L.A. airport sporting her sun-kissed crop with a hat over it. Something tells us this won’t be a permanent style. But with her face structure she can pull off practically anything (like the aforementioned half-shaved head) and we’d love to see how she styles a shorter cut on the red carpet.

Smith’s daughter Willow — who famously whipped her long braids back and forth in this video — is also sporting shorter hair, showing off her cropped blonde locks at Coachella.

When Willow first cut her hair back in 2012, her mom was the first to defend her look. “This is a world where women, girls are constantly reminded that they don’t belong to themselves; that their bodies are not their own, nor their power or self determination,” she wrote on Facebook. “Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair.”

What do you think of Smith’s new short look? Should she keep it? Sound off below.

Music Video Style Roundup: It's Time to Talk About Katy Perry's Old Lady Dancer Disguise & Lea Michele's Unitards

Apr/22/2014 at 04:24 PM ET

We imagine that recording artists must have to put a lot of thought into music videos, meticulously mapping out everything from the storyline to the wardrobe to the extras who bop around in the background. And when you’re Katy Perry, whose done everything from swinging on vines and wrestling alligators to dancing around in a cupcake bustier, it must get really hard to one-up yourself. But the singer managed to do so (naturally) in her new music video for “Birthday.” You’ll see what we mean when you watch the teaser above.

Kim Kardashian blonde Splash News Online; Startraks

Kim Kardashian loves to make a major style splash, but she normally keeps it to one noteworthy moment per day. So when we saw her out Monday in the pair of jeans seen above, we figured that was her big statement, and let our guard down for the rest of the day. Then photographs came in of the star with blonde hair, and the internet was abuzz with the info that she’d made a major tress change-up. Could we not take our eyes off her for five minutes without her going ombré?!

Andrew Garfield pulled a fast one on us. Right in the middle of his promo tour for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the actor shaved off his wavy, perfectly tousled Peter Parker tresses and his five o’clock shadow. Yup, he’s totally clean shaven.

Garfield debuted his new look — a classic buzz cut, you know, the kind you just want to run your hands over — during a volunteer event with girlfriend Emma Stone and his other co-stars for a habitat restoration project at Shoreline Park in Mountain View, Calif. This is another one of those times we wish Stone was our BFF, and we could just text her to ask all about her man’s new cut. Read More

We’ve been going through Jennifer Lawrence withdrawal since awards season ended, but luckily enough, the return of sunshine in N.Y.C. happened to coincide with the return of J. Law to our computer screens. The actress is kicking off her X-Men: Days of Future Past promo tour (she spends most of the movie naked covered in blue body paint as Mystique), and we’re looking forward to seeing how she’ll style her hair, now that her pixie isn’t really a pixie anymore.

Lawrence gave us a sneak peek at her grown-out do Monday as she headed to a taping of Good Morning America with a wavy textured crop that looks to have a fresh asymmetrical cut, with the front pieces grazing her jawline. (See look from all angles above.) Read More

Apr/17/2014 at 05:22 PM ET

We Tried It: Kate Middleton Royal Tour HairSamir Hussein/Wireimage. Inset:Tim Rooke/Rex USA;Courtesy Brittany Talarico

What it is: Being a total fangirl and bringing pictures of your hair idol Duchess Catherine to the blowout bar so you can get her look (pegged to her current Royal Tour hairstyles of course)

Who Tried It: Brittany Talarico, Associate Style Editor

Why She Tried It: Because the only thing that excites me more than this gif of Prince George is Kate’s hair

How crazy is it on a scale from 1 to Ridiculous? If you’re getting one of her looks recreated at a blowout bar, it’s a zero. They’re super easy for any hairstylist to master. If you’re doing it on yourself, I’d say about a 3.5-7.5, all depending on your hair type, and how good you are with a curling iron and bobby pins.
