Though his lyrics may often confound, when it comes to Jay-Z’s love of high fashion, there is little confusion. And one of his most beloved brands, Gucci (sample lyric: “Yellow wrist watch, Gucci flip flops, six top model chicks, who is this hot?”), is returning the sentiment by playing a key part in Bing’s elaborate introduction to Jay-Z’s new book, Decoded. Pages of the tome, which reveal hidden meanings behind the rapper’s lyrics, are being exposed at landmark locations all over the world. And today, Gucci’s 5th Avenue location in N.Y.C. will unveil a page from the book on the inside of a one-of-a-kind leather bomber designed by Gucci’s Creative Director, Frida Giannini. Fans who locate the jacket at the N.Y.C. Gucci flagship will be given a specialized code to upload an image from Decoded, which will automatically enter them into a drawing to win an autographed copy and other prizes. Olivia Palermo Poses with Model Boyfriend in Mango’s Winter Catalog

MTV may have axed The City, but don’t expect Olivia Palermo to step out of the fashion spotlight anytime soon. The striking N.Y.C. socialite-turned-reality star has already taken on a new role, modeling in Mango’s new winter 2010 catalog alongside her German-born boyfriend Johannes Huebl. Showing off stylish day and night looks for the Spanish retailer, the 24-year-old elegantly poses in feminine frocks, chic skirts and cocktail-ready accessories. “I love working with Johannes, and the photographers love seeing the chemistry that exists between us,” says Palermo in a release. “Working with Mango is like a dream, because it’s a wonderful company.” Shot by photographer Txema Yeste at Barcelona’s Hotel Palace, the reality star looks every bit the stylish sophisticate in the retailer’s 2010 looks, giving official brand spokesmodel Scarlett Johansson a run for her money.
