See the Engagement Ring LeBron James Splurged On

What a pair — and what a pear! LeBron James proposed to longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson on New Year’s Eve, and over the weekend, the lucky lady flashed her brand-new bling: a pear-shaped diamond flanked by two glimmering baguettes.

James — whose salary will top $16 million this season — popped the question during a celebratory dinner at SL nightclub at the Shelborne hotel in South Beach. The couple’s children, LeBron Jr., 7, and Bryce, 4, were on hand to celebrate with mom and dad, too.

“It was so sweet to watch,” a rep for Remy Martin V, who hosted the dinner, tells PEOPLE. “Everyone is extremely happy.”

The party, co-hosted by Heat teammate Dwyane Wade and his girlfriend Gabrielle Union, was also a belated birthday celebration for James, who turned 27 the day before. Heat star Chris Bosh (who tied the knot lavishly in July) and Queen Latifah were also on the guest list of 60 friends and family members.

Rock this way! Steven Tyler proposed to girlfriend Erin Brady during a holiday vacation in Hawaii, giving her a mighty fine Christmas present: a sparkler by jeweler Loree Rodkin.

A spokesperson for Rodkin says the bauble is totally unique. “It’s one of a kind, like all of her pieces,” the rep tells PEOPLE. “Steven has been a client of Loree’s for many years, and often wears rings by her, as well as other jewelry.”

According to Rodkin, the proposal was a surprise. “He was working, so I picked stones, built settings, showed him choices and sent him pictures on his phone,” she tells PEOPLE. “He asked for guidance but the choice was his. Having made jewelry for both Erin and Steven made it an effortless process, as I know their taste.”

Brady’s ring is a 5-carat, brilliant-cut diamond, which sits on a micro pave diamond-and-platinum band. The bride-to-be flashed the jewel while walking through the airport with her beau earlier this week.

A.J. and His Backstreet Bride Debut Matching Goth Wedding Bands

Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean and new wife, model Rochelle DeAnna Karidis, stepped out as newlyweds — and showed off their wedding rings — at a Guns ‘n’ Roses concert in Los Angeles Wednesday.

The couple even wore coordinating nail adornment, with McLean, 33, sporting black polish with a red heart on his ring finger, and Karidis wearing red polish with a black heart on hers.

As for their matching wedding bands, Karidis’s is black with diamonds and McLean’s is red with a single diamond.

It’s a fitting color scheme for McLean and Karidis, who wed in a goth-themed ceremony on Dec. 17 at the Beverly Hills Hotel after McLean proposed onstage at the Hard Rock Hotel’s nightclub Las Vegas in January 2010.

Britney Spears’s ‘Princess’ Engagement Ring: All the Details!

Britney Spears may be a pop-star diva to the rest of the world, but to beau Jason Trawick, “she’s his everyday princess,” says celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, who designed Spears’s dazzling engagement ring to befit Trawick’s vision of the singer’s down-home regality. “Jason is a romantic and when I asked him to tell me about Britney and what the ring would represent to them so I could find inspiration, his response was always the same — she is his princess!”

With that theme in mind, Lane tells PEOPLE he designed from scratch a tiara-motif sparkler with a round, perfect white diamond in a handmade platinum setting that “looks like a mini crown,” the celebrated jeweler says. He also added 90 small round diamonds around the eternity band. “Jason didn’t want an over-the-top ring with a giant stone,” he adds.

Since getting engaged to longtime love Adam Shulman in November, Anne Hathaway has been pretty good at keeping her gorgeous engagement ring out of the spotlight. But at the premiere of The Iron Lady in New York on Tuesday, the actress’s sparkler nearly stole the show — and we finally got a decent look at the goods.

Hathaway’s emerald-cut ring, set on a thin diamond-studded band, was designed in part by Kwiat jewelers, whose diamonds are certified conflict-free. “Adam did work with us to design a ring that he knew Anne would love,” owner Greg Kwiat told PEOPLE at the time of the engagement. “He had a very strong vision for what he knew Anne would love.”

Shulman’s expertise was probably welcomed by Kwiat; as it turns out, the part-time actor is also a jewelry designer. In conjunction with business partner Heidi Nahser Fink, Shulman owns James Banks Designs, a small company that offers handcrafted light bulb pendants and whimsical butterfly necklaces. Rachel Zoe, Valentino Weigh In on Anne Hathaway’s Wedding Gown

Will Anne Hathaway wear a Valentino gown on her wedding day? The young star of The Devil Wears Prada is notoriously close with designer Valentino Garavani, so while she called in sick to the opening-night party of his Virtual Museum in New York on Wednesday night, that didn’t stop other guests from speculating on what she might wear when she weds fiancé Adam Shulman.

Stylist Rachel Zoe, who’s worked with Hathaway for nearly seven years, indicated that choosing a wedding dress designer might be difficult for the actress. “But it should be interesting,” she continued. “She’s so young and such a romantic. It will be a fashion ‘moment’ whatever she decides.”

Ricki Lake Thinks She’s Found Her Wedding Gown

On Sunday night at the Trevor Project’s “Trevor Live at the Hollywood Palladium,” a fit and glowing Ricki Lake was ready to talk about her wedding plans — or at least the most important detail. “I may have found a dress,” the actress and former Dancing with the Stars finalist admitted to PEOPLE. “I have someone who has been looking for me. It’s vintage.”

As for the inspiration behind the gown, set to arrive at her house Monday, Lake said, “I wanted something simple, on the bias, and flattering. It’s got a lot of detail. It’s very pretty. I’m not going to say any more yet because I haven’t even seen it firsthand, I’ve just seen a picture!” She previously said she was waiting until Dancing was over to try on dresses, and lost a significant amount of weight while competing on the series.

Lake, who announced her engagement to Christian Evans in August, said the couple needs some time alone to get into the wedding planning. “We are just starting to talk about it. Next weekend we’re going away together and we’re going to try to start figuring out what we’re doing,” she revealed. “Then we’re going to Paris on holiday for two weeks and then we’ll start planning. But it’s going to be soon.” It might even be a destination wedding, Lake shared.
