FIRST LOOK: The Practice’s Marla Sokoloff’s Wedding Dress

Jules Bianchi

When The Practice’s Marla Sokoloff married music composer Alec Puro at Il Cielo restaurant in Beverly Hills over the weekend, everything was picture perfect, from tables laid with dark red roses and tea lights created by celebrity florist Mark’s Garden to the free-flowing champagne and wedding cake from Buttercake Bakery. The bride herself was no exception. “Marla looked beyond stunning,” said an onlooker of the actress, who dazzled in a strapless silk Amsale gown, cinched at the waist with a black sash and complemented by a flowing veil. “She took a few deep breaths and briefly teared up before she entered the restaurant. She seemed a bit nervous, but still looked very happy.” After exchanging XIV Karats rings, the newlyweds celebrated with revelers who dined on Italian fare. Next stop? Tahiti for a relaxing honeymoon far from the glitz and glamour of L.A.

The Inside Scoop on Ivanka Trump’s Wedding Gown and Hair

Brian Marcus/Fred Marcus Photography

While Ivanka Trump looked no further than her own jewelry collection for her something sparkling for her wedding to Jared Kushner this weekend, the heiress sought out famed wedding gown designer Vera Wang for her “something new.” Ivanka and Vera Wang worked closely to create the perfect couture wedding gown inspired by the gown Princess Grace Kelly wore to wed Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956. The result — a hand made lace gown fit for a princess. To complement her majestic gown, Ivanka paid long time hair stylist Suelyn Farel a visit 10 days prior to the wedding for a trim and “Park Avenue Blonde” highlights. And though Wang was still putting the finishing touches on Ivanka’s wedding gown just days before the ceremony, the heiress was “really calm” according to Farel, who cut about an inch and half off of Ivanka’s blonde tresses. “She really just wanted to make sure she had a fabulous trim so her hair would be able to style well the day of the wedding,” Farel tells PEOPLE. Watch as Vera Wang describes the work and inspiration behind Ivanka’s couture wedding gown. Tell us: What do you think of Ivanka Trump’s wedding gown?reporting by Isley Kasica

courtesy of Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry

Something new, something old, something borrowed, something blue…no word on what all of Ivanka Trump’s bridal must-haves were, but we do know what the something sparkling was — thousands of dollars of diamonds from her own jewelry collection! At her Sunday wedding to Jared Kushner at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., she wore a platinum-diamond hairpiece to accent the veil (worth $45,000), platinum mixed-cut clustered diamond earrings (worth $130,000), and an Art Deco link platinum-diamond bracelet (worth $90,000), all in addition to her lace Vera Wang gown. Her bridesmaids were suitably encrusted as well, with assorted pieces from the Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry collection to set off their Carolina Herrera gowns. While the groom did not wear share in the bling, he was suitably stylish in a Brioni tuxedo. Read more about Ivanka’s fairytale wedding by clicking here.

How Designer Jenny Packham Got Jaime Pressly Wedding-Ready!

Joe Buissink

Jaime Pressly might finally be in newlywed bliss, but things had to have been more than a little tense leading up to her nuptials — especially when it came to making sure she had the perfect dress for her and her bridal party. When the My Name is Earl star asked one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham to create something special for her wedding day, time was of the essence. With only two months to go until the big day — and two bridal and 10 bridesmaid dresses to produce — it was no small task. “Jaime tried on some looks from Jenny’s bridal runway collection and provided feedback,” a rep for the British designer tells PEOPLE, adding: “After Jenny sketched several designs, Jaime selected the two looks and we went into production.” With no time to spare, eight beaders worked around the clock to affix the 800,000 Swarovski crystals, beads and sequins by hand to the ceremony gown. Worn with a crystal head dress and a veil from Packham’s bridal collection, the look was complete. The bridal party continued the glamorous theme, with Pressly’s 10 bridesmaids all in sparkling platinum one-shoulder dresses, also designed by Packham, featuring a crystal motif at the hip. To end the night in style (and to save any disasters on the dance floor) the bride changed into a 1940s-inspired beaded bell-sleeve cocktail dress to party the night away. EXCLUSIVE: All the Details on Zooey Deschanel’s One-of-a-Kind Wedding Band!

Startraks; Neil Lane(2)

When actress Zooey Deschanel, 29, and Death Cab for Cutie front man Benjamin Gibbard, 33, came into jeweler Neil Lane’s Los Angeles store about a month ago, they were “absolutely adorable,” the jeweler tells PEOPLE. And they were on a mission: find the perfect wedding band to complement Deschanel’s Lane-designed engagement ring — a 3-carat Asscher cut diamond ring set in platinum with small diamond details around it. The result was not one, but two, one-of-a-kind, identical eternity bands with alternating small rubies and diamonds. “One is to wear close to her heart,” says Lane, who designed the rings with the couple’s input. “(Gibbard) really wanted to get something she loved and they wanted to choose it together, so the three of us designed it. The bands are a nice contrast to her white platinum and diamond engagement ring. The red represented a lot of love and affection and it is really unusual.” Engaged since December, the indie rocker and (500) Days of Summer star tied the knot Saturday night near Seattle. “They adore each other,” says Lane. “They’re really fun to be around and very much in love, with great energy together.” –Elizabeth Leonard

Christina Hendricks Tells InStyle Weddings About Falling In Love With Her Man — and Her Dress

Courtesy InStyle

Mad Men’s gorgeously curvy Christina Hendricks is the latest engaged actress to grace the cover of InStyle Weddings. Inside the fall issue, she talks about finally finding love, and the intimate details of her upcoming nuptials to (500) Days of Summer’s Geoffrey Arend. “Before I met Geoffrey, marriage just wasn’t that important to me. Once I fell in love, it became this very exciting idea to share my life with him and throw a wedding to celebrate.” She continues, “It was worth the wait — I wasn’t ever going to settle.” And settling isn’t something she was willing to do when it came to her wedding dress either — and luckily for her, it was another case of love at first sight. “It was the very first dress I tried on. It’s got a bit of Sophia Loren to it, but really, it’s a Christina Hendricks dress,” she says of the Carolina Herrera gown she’ll walk down the aisle in. And while she’s still keeping her final wedding day look under wraps, Christina does try on curve-flattering looks by Pronovias, Oscar de la Renta and Watters in the magazine’s pages, which hits newsstands today.
