You’ve been busily bookmarking our gift guide, but this December, we’re also going to draw your attention to great gifts that also give back — to the community, to children, to the world around us. Check them out, and share your favorite gifts that give in the comments.
It’s impossible to scroll through your Instagram feed without catching a glimpse of that one person who seems to post a selfie every five minutes. But before you roll your eyes (yet again) we’ve got some good news — those vanity portraits can now go to a good cause, as model Poppy Delevingne recently showed us on her account. All it takes is to make it a Selfless Selfie.

Selfless Selfie is a fundraising campaign started by ActionAid, a company based out of the UK that strives to further human rights and end poverty for all. They started the campaign in response to the typhoon disaster in the Philippines earlier this year.
How does this fundraising fad work, you may ask? Well, first, you’ll want to buy one of the shirts from their website, because all proceeds go to relief efforts in the Philippines. Then don it and give us your best smize. Finally, upload the picture to Instagram with the hashtag #selflessselfie, and ActionAid will post your picture alongside Poppy’s in the selfie gallery, so the world can see how you (and that annoying selfie-posting pal of yours) are using your social media power for good.
