Mariah Carey doesn’t need a special occasion to showcase her banging body. That said, the diva jumps on any chance to get in the holiday spirit with an itty bitty bikini, and St. Patrick’s Day was no exception.

No one knows Sports Illustrated swimsuit models like a former cover girl of the annual issue. So who better to weigh in on Kate Upton’s current reign as the queen of the SI Swimsuit cover? Upton has landed the coveted spot twice (and also graces the back cover of the 2014 issue), but Alt thinks it might be time for another model to earn some attention.
“What I don’t understand with Kate is, like, ‘What’s all the hullabaloo?’” Alt said on HuffPost Live. “There are are many covers of Sports Illustrated! One girl was just wearing a bottom, a couple times no top, one time just beads. So I don’t get what all the hullabaloo is.”

To look at them, you wouldn’t think Modern Family‘s Gloria Delgado (left, played by Sofia Vergara) and Girls‘s Shoshanna Shapiro (played by Zosia Mamet) had much in common — especially sartorially. Gloria tends to favor short, tight and low-cut wrap dresses and huge heels, while Shoshanna’s tastes veer toward the girlie-to-juvenile. Gloria goes for huge, voluminous waves, while Shoshanna is known for her questionable side buns. But there is, apparently, one item of clothing on which the characters can agree: this sexy $450 Agent Provocateur monokini.

By now, you’ve seen the super-sexy 50th Anniversary cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue — with three times the heat, brought to you by cover models (from left) Nina Agdal (in Beach Bunny), Lily Aldridge (in Basta Surf) and Chrissy Teigen (wearing Bettinis). Shot in the Cook Islands by James Macari, the girls look just as enthusiastic as they were when caught up with them before the big cover reveal on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday.
Below, check out our chat with Aldridge and Teigen (Agdal couldn’t make it, but tells PEOPLE, “I’m speechless … It was my goal. I couldn’t be happier to be on this year’s cover. Absolutely amazing!”). And be sure to check out our sneak peeks at the other models inside, from Hannah Davis’s “Jersey Strong” shoot to the original bikini babe, Barbie.
