Elle Macpherson's Favorite Red Carpet Moment Involves a Couture Gown and ... Flip Flops?

Apr/10/2014 at 03:53 PM ET

We were lucky enough to spend our Thursday morning with the stunning Elle Macpherson — somehow her hair is more amazing in person — to celebrate the launch of her Body Collection at JCPenney. And in honor of #TBT, we had to put our serious journalist hats on and ask Macpherson one very pressing question: What’s your favorite red carpet moment of all time? Her answer led us to this truly killer photo below (Elle, you should get this on Insta stat.)

“My favorite red carpet moment is the acid-green, strapless luminescent dress with flip flops that I wore to a Met Gala,” Macpherson told PEOPLE of the whiplash-inducing Calvin Klein Collection gown she wore to the 2005 ball. “And the tan. It was great.” Read More

ICYMI: 3 Style Videos to Watch Now (Like Cara Delevingne's Hilarious Tutorial on 'Vibrating' Mascara)

Apr/04/2014 at 01:16 PM ET

It’s Friday, which means you’re probably counting down the hours until you can leave your office. So to make that wait a little bit easier, we rounded up some style videos that caught our attention. Seriously, watch these now then watch them again at brunch with your friends this weekend. You’re gonna wanna talk about ‘em.

Cara Delevingne likes to show off her silly (and sexy) sides on her Instagram feed. She’s not afraid to give fans a candid look at her life — and her latest video might be one of her best yet. The supermodel “regrammed” a clip from makeup artist Tom Pecheux, giving a behind-the-scenes peek at her glam process, and her “DIY” way of applying mascara. “#regram @tompecheux masCARA tips! Haters gonna hate, vibrators gonna vibrate I mean mascara hehehe #DIY #girlsbestfriend.” Anyone going to try out her method at home? Get back to us on that one.

Ellen DeGeneres addressed the whole Target Photoshop controversy in a totally Ellen DeGeneres way — by bringing the swimsuit model Tanya Marie Keller on her show to set the record straight. Her arms are just that long! Okay, fine, they’re not. Keller was a great sport about the whole thing, playing along with Ellen’s spot-on line of questioning (and even getting props involved).

On a more touching note, Dermablend’s latest campaign ads are so poignant you might want to have some Kleenex ready. The cosmetics brand has released a series of “Camo Confessions” starring “Zombie Boy” Rick Genest (you probably remember this spot), Cheri Lindsay, a college volleyball coach who suffers from the skin-pigment disorder vitiligo, and YouTube beauty star Cassandra Bankson, who is known for her miracle cover-up tutorials to mask her acne. Watch as they remove Dermablend’s foundation while explaining what the line’s concealer means for them, and prepare to get emotional.

At this stage in her supermodel career, Gisele Bündchen stays busy enough with photoshoots and jet setting (and singing!) that she never has to hit the runway again. But the Brazilian bombshell always carves out time on her calendar for one special catwalk: Brazil Fashion Week. The face of Colcci showed off some of the line’s fashions (and her killer figure) this week — and more importantly, brought husband Tom Brady along to cheer from the front row.

She has her own line of beauty products, huge new campaigns with H&M, Clear Haircare and Reebok and now she’s just been named the face of Escada’s fall fragrance “Joyful.” Yes, Miranda Kerr is everywhere. We caught up with the supermodel to get some insight on her latest brand collaboration (finally, we could get our questions about her perfume-spraying routine answered!).

“I like to spritz on the ends of my hair, and also on my clothing before I get dressed,” Kerr tells PEOPLE. “Just a little spritz on my clothing. It’s a subtle way when you enter the room for people to feel your presence, but not be overwhelmed by it.”

The supermodel added that her involvement with the brand’s new scent (out this fall) has reminded her or her childhood. “I remember playing with my mother’s perfumes. She had quite a collection. On her dresser she had all the different perfumes. It was her thing. I didn’t really get my own perfume until I was older, maybe in my teens [but I] remember using rose oils and sandalwood oil — mixing those two together. I liked that balance of the fresh flowers with something that’s very grounding. I think that’s a nice mix of freshness and strength.” Read More

One of the most buzzed-about moments at Kate Moss‘s 2011 wedding — aside from the dress and the three-day reception — was her half-sister Lottie’s public debut (she’s the tallest flower girl in this photo).
