Dear Kate: We’ve Found Your First Maternity Looks

We know the Duchess of Cambridge isn’t far along yet — and isn’t showing the slightest sign of a baby bump, either — but when that belly pops, we hope she comes to our site and shops these too-cute pregnancy picks we’ve found for her.

Since Kate’s a classic coat girl, we think she’d look great in A Pea in the Pod’s double-breasted wool maternity pea coat (left, $179.50), which features plenty of room for baby and bright gold buttons down the front.

For days out with little sis Pippa, she can pair her J Brand maternity jeans ($200) with this ASOS maternity blouse with pussybow and pleated sleeve (center, $39.58). It boasts the collar that Kate loves and a color that would make her maternity glow even brighter.

We’ve made no secret of the fact that we’re obsessed with the Duchess of Cambridge‘s style. We’ve analyzed it from every angle, tracked down her prettiest looks for less and even crowned her the “Classic Beauty” in our best dressed issue.

So when we heard the news that the Duchess is expecting, we immediately reacted as any normal, style-obsessed girls would do, and started envisioning the adorable maternity ensembles to come.

Though it’s very early in her pregnancy, we’ve already seen some kicky new bangs and some killer coats. And with designers like Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, Alice Temperley and Amanda Wakeley on speed dial, we’re sure to see plenty more custom stunners as Catherine’s belly grows.

Far from the ’80s tents sported by Fergie and Princess Diana, we think Kate will follow in the footsteps of some of the most stylish pregnant royals in Europe — and we can’t wait to see! But for now, have fun flashing back to some of the more, uh, interesting ensembles worn by expectant royals.

For most women, the idea of having a professional stylist is a dream come true; for Jessica Alba, it’s just a part of the gig.

“Trying on clothes — it’s just not super fun for me,” she admitted to PEOPLE recently during a fitting with stylist Brad Goreski. “I can’t think of anything I would rather not be doing. I’d rather get spa treatments. Get my nails done and go to lunch with my girlfriends.”

So when it comes to finding that perfect red-carpet look, Alba employs shortcuts. “I know what will work even before I try something on,” she said. Goreski concurred: “She doesn’t change her mind … Once you set something with her she knows it and it stays that way.”

Many women rethink their fashion choices while pregnant, but not Jessica Alba. Since announcing her second pregnancy in February, Alba’s belly has “popped,” but she remains a fashionista thanks to the assistance of her stylist, Brad Goreski. “We’re still trying to keep it very fashion,” Goreski told PEOPLE at the Rimowa Rodeo Drive Store opening in Beverly Hills Monday. “There aren’t really that many restrictions because she’s such a beautiful woman.” The former Rachel Zoe protégé said he and Alba, already mom to Honor, 2, have recently found success in keeping her look “fresh and young” thanks to designers like Lanvin, Versace and Ralph Lauren. “[We] show people that even though you’re pregnant you can still look really cute,” he shared. One brand that Alba has recently turned to for maternity wear, though, is Pea in a Pod. “We switch to Pea in a Pod at, like, month two or three,” Goreski told reporters. “You need the [belly bands].” So what’s it like dressing someone Goreski describes as the “coolest mom?” “She’s just so much fun to be around,” he shared. “We had a fitting today and just laughed all through it. I look forward to seeing her every time.” –Patrick Gomez
