From Date Night to Brunch: Exactly What to Wear This Weekend

Jun/21/2013 at 04:30 PM ET

We should call this post, “One chambray shirt, three cute outfits.” It seems as though stars have been stepping out almost exclusively in the denim staple lately, and since we know you already have this versatile Bella Dahl top (if not, you should nab one with our exclusive discount), we wanted to show you some fun warm-weather ways to wear it — from a night out on Saturday all the way to work on Monday.

Miranda Kerr shorts Pacific Coast News

Saturday night: It’s hard to make denim-on-denim look chic (and not give off “going to the rodeo” vibes). But Miranda Kerr has mastered the trend in her Isabel Marant shorts with a light-wash chambray topper and sparkly flats, for an outfit that’s perfect for dinner with friends or a low-key date night (since there’s no guy alive who doesn’t drool over cutoffs). Check out this awesome DL1961 pair, then add ballet flats like these from Yosi Samra, or add some height with a fun colorful wedge like this pair by Nine West ($62.79).

Rather spend your day at the beach instead of trying to track down the perfect outfit? Don’t stress because we’ve got you covered with three super chic looks that will get you through the weekend– from girls night out to the office – looking like a pro.

Jamie Chung skirt, bag Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic

Saturday night: Printed skirt? Check. Statement necklace? Check. Pop of color? Check and check! We’re so impressed with Jamie Chung’s effortless ability to rock several summer trends at once that we had to try this look ourselves. What better way to hit the town than with this asymmetrical mini from Topshop (an almost perfect match to Chung’s Aztec printed skirt). Pair it with your favorite loose-fitting tee, this neon bag, and this blingy necklace (on sale this weekend!) and you’ll be sure to catch that guy’s eye.

Get The Look: Game Of Thrones Braids

Jun/13/2013 at 09:00 AM ET

If you’d told us a few years ago that we would someday be getting hair and makeup inspiration from a medieval fantasy TV show involving dragons and swordplay, we’d have called you crazy. And yet, here we are obsessing over Khaleesi’s braids on Game of Thrones.

Which is why we were so excited to come across this roundup of DIY tutorials on how to replicate the most enviable looks from the series, and, not surprisingly, a certain mother of dragon’s hair got top billing.

Our favorite video showcases one of Daenerys Targaryen’s most enviable platinum plaited styles. It’s from the first season and features about half a dozen braids. So, yeah, it’s not for the impatient.

Share a photo of your braided look for a chance to be featured on PEOPLE.com!

In another video for Beauty High, MAC Cosmetics artist Romero Jennings shares great in-depth details on emulating the bold brow/understated eye combo that’s so popular on the show. The clip also features Bumble and Bumble hairstylist Britney Williams demonstrating how to get Cersei Lannister’s signature halo of braids. Styled along the crown of the head, Williams explains the importance of getting the Queen’s look just right. “All of the curls are going away from her face in the same direction so we have that Cersei wave,” notes the hair guru, “If we switch directions we get more of a beach wave.”

Tell us: Would you ever rock a Game of Thrones-inspired look?
