For one week a year, Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio, 28, says things get so crazy and hectic, “I just have to find power from somewhere else to keep going!” she laughs. That week, of course, is leading up to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which took place in N.Y.C. on Nov 19 and will air on CBS at 10pm on Dec. 1. Here’s how the Angel, and mom of 1-year-old Anja (who stayed at home in Brazil with Grandma) made it through.

Saturday, Nov. 14: Fly in from Brazil for my fitting. It’s a big deal to do the fitting. They had all the cameras there. Glad I rested up in Brazil. Now the craziness begins!

Monday, Nov. 16: Shooting a VS campaign today while I’m here. This whole time I am trying to find time to work out because we’re shooting ALL day. At 7, my trainer comes over and we work out for an hour. It’s mostly butt and abs and arms. Last year I had to lose 40 lbs. after having my daughter. This year I am 2 lbs less than usual so I am not freaking out…Still, one week before the show is when I get worried!

Tuesday, Nov. 17: Lots of filming today! I had to do my second fitting and I had to do a biography with VS , which we filmed all over New York. It took so long, I didn’t get to work out!

Wednesday, Nov. 18: In Times Square to promote the show, then we have to go and rehearse. The rehearsal will finish so late, and I really want to work out the night before the show, so I might not be able to get a massage, like I wanted.

Thursday, Nov. 19, 8 am: The show is today! Running late to hair and makeup. Oops. I’m opening the show, so obviously I’m more nervous than anyone else. It’s a big responsibility. I can’t even eat breakfast. Just coffee.
11 am: So many interviews!
4 pm: We tape two shows, so the first one starts now. Walking down the runway, I went on autopilot and blacked out. I don’t even remember what I did. I was just trying to be sexy and fun.
5 pm: Break between shows. I’m hungry! I’m going straight for the catering table.
8 pm: Second show. I didn’t fall in the first one, so I’m not so nervous now. Even if I trip they have one good take! The Black Eyed Peas sing while I’m wearing this bright neon outfit. And the wings are on the arms, so it doesn’t even hide anything!
10 pm: Done for the day! I got a Valentino Couture dress to wear and amazing diamonds from Ivanka Trump. Heading over to the afterparty at M2 in NYC.
1 am: Now I’m really hungry! Grabbing cheeseburgers at Cafeteria with my friends.

Heidi Klum didn’t plan on walking the runway of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last night, but let’s just say she’s a little bit impulsive. “I felt great the night of the fashion show and decided last minute to walk,” the supermodel, 36, who welcomed daughter Lou, with husband Seal, last month, tells PEOPLE exclusively. Klum, who had already been fitted for her dress, opened the Enchanted Forest-themed part of the show, wearing a vine-strewn corset and a full white skirt. “I loved my outfit,” she says, “so I thought, why not?” Her surprise appearance, known only to Victoria’s Secret insiders, drew screams and applause from a shocked audience during the live show Thursday night. Though Klum, who was expected only to host the festivities, said that while her new job behind the scenes meant there was “definitely less pressure,” walking in the show was a thrill for her. “I’m proud of being the curvy model on the Victoria’s Secret stage,” she says, adding that she enjoyed the show herself. “The Black Eyed Peas and all of the looks for the show were fantastic!” You can watch Heidi — and all the Angels — hit the runway when the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs on CBS at 10pm EST on Dec. 1.–Charlotte Triggs

When former Gastineau Girls, mother-daughter duo Lisa and Brittny Gastineau, created their Tres Glam fine jewelry line, they did so from the perspective of reality stars and Hollywood insiders. “The diamond evil eye in 18 karat gold is our main thing,” Brittny told PEOPLE from Los Angeles, where she lives with her mother. “It’s designed to protect you from any jealousy. And of course there’s a lot of jealousy, especially when you’re on TV. You have a lot of eyes [on you] and sometimes not everyone’s wishing you well.” Brittny has given the baubles to best friend Kim Kardashian and E! News host Giuliana Rancic, schooling them in her family’s superstition before bestowing the gifts. “I just feel like when you’re in the public eye, you do need protection. And I’m telling you, I feel naked without my evil eye. If I don’t have it on, I like freak out.” As for whether the Gastineaus would do another reality show, having seen the astronomical success of their close pals the Kardashians, Brittny says yes—but the focus would have to be on their work: “I love TV shows with depth. For anyone who wondered why fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld picked British pop star Lily Allen to be the new face of Chanel’s Coco Cocoon collection, he cleared it up for Elle.com. The Kaiser explained that he “loves Lily’s humor, her cheekiness, her talent.” And the fact that she’s cute doesn’t hurt either, with Karl citing “her little upturned nose, and her perfect décolletage.” The British starlet, a regular at Chanel’s fashion shows in Paris, has also launched a jewelry line and is slated to star in Neil LaBute’s new West End production of Reasons to Be Pretty in 2010. If you’re one of the lucky few to have been crowned Miss USA, chances are that you know a thing or two about beauty. And Shanna Moakler is making the most of her makeup know-how with a new line of organic pressed mineral makeup co-created with her personal makeup artist, Daniel McFadden. If Leighton Meester could give just one piece of fashion advice to her Gossip Girl alter ego, Blair Waldorf, what would it be? “She could let loose a bit,” British Glamour’s December cover girl says. “She’s always got every bow in the right spot and her headband perfectly placed. Tights to match her sweater to match her jacket to match her gloves to put on with her hat.” It sounds…exhausting. However, despite their different wardrobes, the Gossip Girl actress credits the show for her own edgy style. “This character has been an introduction to fashion,” she says. “I take my own cue and do something different. First Brad and Angelina, then the Kardashians, and now Michelle Trachtenberg is stepping into the jewelry design business! The Gossip Girl troublemaker has teamed up with Coach to design a range of baubles for the brand’s fun and fresh Poppy collection. Michelle Trachtenberg for Poppy is described by Coach as embodying “refined-romantic with attitude, bringing a punky look to a lush mix of materials and inspirations.” Michelle says, “Getting the opportunity to design jewelry for Coach’s Poppy collection was too exciting to pass up. The collections are perfect representations of my whimsical attitude towards fashion and have that great mix of girly and edgy that I love.” While Michelle Trachtenberg for Poppy is slated to launch for Spring 2010, a small preview collection of bee motif pieces in emerald greens and cobalt blues will be available on December 1 at Coach.com and in Coach stores. Well, her boyfriend Russell Brand loved them. Now, lusty fans can have some too. Katy Perry’s soccer-themed lingerie, that is! Brand’s favorite soccer club, West Ham United, provided three shirts for 25-year-old Perry’s stylists to fashion into skimpy stagewear for her turn hosting the MTV Europe Music Awards earlier this month. And after the pictures raised eyebrows for her boyfriend, as well as admirers around the world, the club in East London has decided to make a limited number themselves. Initially, 50 sets priced at around $480 each will be made on a pre-order basis only. (If placed before November 20, they will be ready for Christmas and they are ordered before the end of next month, they will be perfectly timed for a Valentine’s Day surprise, the club says.) Perry’s get-up was the brainchild of freelance celebrity stylist and costume designer Siobhan Dillon. She told the West Ham United website Wednesday, “I thought it would be cool to try and make the shirt as football-oriented as possible. “So, I used the collars along the top of the brassiere and used the two badges on the front. I had a team of three girls working with me on the outfit. Twilight’s Ashley Greene might have looked red-hot at last night’s L.A. premiere of the film series’ latest installment, New Moon, but she tells PEOPLE that finding her perfect scarlet Prabal Gurung stunner was no small matter. “We picked a dress out, had it ready,” Ashley says of a different look, which she originally chose with her stylist. But at the last minute, “I decided I didn’t like it and we had to start from scratch.” Just how down to the wire did it get? “I stopped by the tailors right before I got here to pick up the dress,” she admits. The rest of her red-carpet prep, however, was less of an ordeal. For two hours on the Sunday before the premiere, Ashley received eyelash extensions from expert Calma Yom at The Parlour on 3rd and then returned to the salon to have her hair extensions freshened up the following day. As for her bronzed skin, Ashley looked to St. Tropez tanning expert Fiona Locke, who customized and contoured her skin before the big event. Looks like Lindsay Lohan hasn’t found herself another fashion job quite yet. Though Ungaro’s Artistic Advisor told Access Hollywood that she had teamed up with jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad to create a collection for bebe, WWD reports that it just isn’t so. According to the paper, Pascal Mouawad, who has partnered with Nicole Richie and Heidi Klum in the past, acknowledges that though discussions about launching a jewelry line with Lindsay for bebe did take place, the line “is not happening.” And a rep from bebe confirms that to PEOPLE, saying “We are not doing anything with her. There were talks months ago but we did not go forward with anything.” While Lindsay won’t be contributing to the bebe design team, you can still get star style at the retailer with Nicole Richie’s exclusive House of Harlow collection and Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian’s spring clothing line for bebe.

Not only will the Kardashian sisters’ clothing line for Bebe hit stores this spring, but Kim, Kourtney and Khloe will also be launching a jewelry collection for hip L.A. brand Virgin Saints and Angels. “The collection embraces our unique style…. Romantic, edgy, and classic vintage… of at least we hope so . Our Armenian culture is very important to us and we tried to incorporate that in the jewelry also,” Kim writes on her official website. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have put their creative minds to something new — elegant serpent-themed jewelry! The power couple has teamed with a top British jeweler Asprey to come up with a series of designs for everything from earrings, pendants, bangles, rings to a silver spoon and egg cup. And, like so much of their life away from the cameras, the collection will benefit others. All the net proceeds will go to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, to which the couple has already donated $1 million via the Jolie-Pitt Foundation in June 2008. For Jolie, 34, the inspiration for the collection was an obvious one. While she was expecting Shiloh in 2006, she was given a special gift — a protective snake ring. It was seen as a protector for mother and unborn child, and Jolie has come to view the motif as something of a family guardian. “Since then she has seen the snake symbol as a protective talisman for her family,” a source at Asprey tells PEOPLE. The series started out as something for children — 16-month-old Vivienne has already been photographed wearing bangles with the snake motifs– but has developed into the limited edition “Protector Collection” of high end jewelry and other luxuries, which does still include children’s items like a tooth box and silver egg cup. Victoria Beckham’s eponymous fashion label silenced her critics when it launched last year and has since attracted a celebrity fan base to include Jennifer Lopez, Blake Lively and Elle Macpherson. But the singer-turned-designer admits there is one particular actress she would love to dress – Harry Potter star, Emma Watson. In the latest issue of British Harper’s Bazaar, Beckham describes the 19-year-old Watson as “so sweet, so true to herself,” adding: “There are so many young girls wearing too much make-up, too much hairspray – I find that very dated.” The ex-Spice Girl, who rarely uses a stylist, says she’s also a fan of Kate Bosworth, Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie’s style. “I think Angelina’s beautiful,” she said. But for now, she’s happy with her own little fashion victory – her own personal dress worn by Madonna in a raunchy W magazine shoot, which happened to be the moment Madge met Jesus Luz. “We must be the same size, because it fitted the same,” said Beckham who couldn’t have been happier to hand the garment over. “My dress has never seen so much action. Champagne, elegant canapes, celebrities — this was definitely not your typical Tuesday night shopping outing. Armani Exchange opened up their doors to fashionistas to preview their nightlife-inspired A/X Holiday Collection on Tuesday night. Alexa Chung, host of MTV’s It’s On With Alexa Chung, joined the store festivities to do a little shopping of her own. And the fashion It-girl, who was rocking a black boyfriend blazer, frilled white button-up shirt with a polka dot tie and cut-off shorts, told PEOPLE that she knows where to look for style inspiration. “I watch a lot of films, looking at someone like Francoise Hardy or those ’60s actresses, like Jane Birkin,” Chung explaned. “Cybill Shepherd in The Last Picture Show is amazing.” As Alexa strolled the store looking at clothes, she bobbed and sang along to indie hits — and revealed the top fashion muses she’d love to bring on her show. “I’d love to have Marianne Faithfull or Pamela Des Barres,” the talk-show host said. Emanuel Ungaro, founder of the fashion house which still bears his name, has publicly criticized Lindsay Lohan’s recent collection, European newspapers report. On Monday evening, according to the Agence French Presse, the 76-year old Ungaro told an audience at the Estoril film festival in Lisbon, Portugal on Monday, that the collection on which Lohan served as fashion consultant “was a disaster.” The venerable designer continued, “I’m furious but there isn’t a thing I can do. I have absolutely no link with that house,” added Ungaro who sold his house to an investment fund in 2005. Lohan, 23, was announced as Artistic Advisor to the house in September and, less than a month later, presented her first collection designed in collaboration with Estrella Archs, who herself had only been named as the house’s designer at the end of July. At its showing in October, the Lohan/Archs collaboration was trashed by many critics, while the company itself supported their work, telling PEOPLE at the time of the designing duo, “This is a fashion couple.” According to reports, Ungaro told his audience that the house which bears his name was “well on its way to “losing its soul.” Ungaro explained, “This happens to a lot of designers. We were creator/owners, responsible for both the designs of the house and its destiny. But when you give up your house, we’ve also given up our soul.” –Peter Mikelbank
