Surprise Fashion Faceoff: Kanye, Jessica and Mary-Kate All in the Same Shirt!

What do Kanye West, Jessica Simpson and Mary-Kate Olsen have in common? They love Céline’s chic summer blouses! The stars engaged in a bit of three-way fashion faceoff this summer, each donning a different Céline look while out and about. West wore his, a top from designer Phoebe Philo’s spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection, while performing at the Coachella Music Festival in California in April. One month later, Simpson was spotted dining in New York City in a similar blouse from the very same collection. Fast-forward to this month, when we caught Olsen outside of her Manhattan hotel in a shirt from Céline’s Classics collection. Anchors aweigh! The Duchess of Cambridge kept up her cream theme this week in a navy-trimmed, nautical-inspired dress by the brand behind her wedding gown, Alexander McQueen, for an appearance on her North American tour. But it wasn’t the first time we’d seen a star looking ready to set sail in a creation by the late designer. Sarah Jessica Parker (just announced as one of Hollywood’s top-earning actresses!) wore a strikingly similar McQueen dress — with the colors in reverse — for husband Matthew Broderick’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star unveiling in 2006. Parker paired her look with bright red peep-toe shoes, while the Duchess stayed neutral, selecting navy pumps to finish her look. Tell us: Whose McQueen do you prefer?

Hollywood’s sexiest starlets are on the prowl! Nicole Scherzinger and Kim Kardashian both got in touch with their wild sides recently, breaking out animal-print outfits for some fun in the sun. X Factor judge Scherzinger, at The Cosmopolitan’s Marquee Dayclub in Las Vegas to celebrate her 33rd birthday on Saturday, covered up poolside in a sexy, strapless tiger-print look by Elizabeth & James. Meanwhile, Kardashian sported a low-cut leopard-print jumpsuit while in New York City on Monday, where she reportedly visited Vera Wang at the designer’s Madison Avenue boutique to discuss wedding gowns. It’s a 4-Way (Ankle) Tie: Who Looks Best in Isabel Marant Pumps?

This season, four very different fashionistas have been stepping out in raffia and leather “Gava” pumps by Isabel Marant. While it’s not unusual for stars to go head to head in similar styles, these funky kicks have managed to bridge the gap between supermodel and executive, ingénue and country star. On April 6, Transformers beauty Rosie Huntington-Whitely sported the $825 pair with similarly-hued separates and a complementary hat. The following month, Gisele Bündchen added panache to a work-ready ensemble with the pumps’ thick ankle cuffs. For the CFDA awards, J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons juxtaposed electric green sequins with the must-have shoe. Then, two days later, LeAnn Rimes dressed down the versatile heels with a layered tunic dress. We think the “Gava” adds an unexpected element to all four looks, but want to hear from you! Stars Love Madewell’s Breezy Midi Skirt!

The weather may still be unpredictable, but these stars have found the perfect solution for mid-temperature days when you don’t want to wear jeans but can’t quite rock a miniskirt: Madewell’s effortlessly chic and wearable silk “Canyon” skirt. The $158 skirt’s neutral olive hue works for spring or summer and looks as good with flats as it does with chunky wedge sandals. Glee‘s Jayma Mays looked beach-ready in hers with a sleek tank and sweet bow bag; Anna Kendrick topped hers with a boyfriend sweater and added platform sandals for a more urban look; Emmy Rossum added a girly halter and fringed bag for a fun around-town outfit; and actress Jena Malone made hers perfect for evening with a cropped blazer, funky heels and an oversized clutch. Fashion Faceoff: Liv Tyler vs. Kanye West

Talk about things getting wild and wooly! It was a real life faceoff at the Givenchy ready-to-wear in Paris on Sunday, when Liv Tyler and Kanye West both showed up sporting the same black sweater from the men’s line, emblazoned with a ferocious dog with bared teeth. Tyler dressed her look up with tights, a tuxedo jacket, leather clutch and heels, while West topped his outfit off with shades, a nylon coat, leather pants and boots. Both stars kept their looks monochromatic — maybe they coordinated ahead of time? — and took their seats at the show without drama. Tell us: Who worked the sweater better? –Kate Hogan

When best actress nominee Jennifer Lawrence descended upon the scene at the Kodak Theatre Sunday night, everything from her form-skimming column dress to her tousled locks struck a chord in viewers’ collective Oscar memories. And it wasn’t that she looked sensational, which she undeniably did, but that the entire look was so very reminiscent of Scarlett Johansson‘s va-va-voom turn at the 2006 Golden Globes. From the décolletage to the platinum mane, the Calvin Klein-wearing newcomer was a dead ringer for a scarlet Valentino-clad Scarlett.
