Two Stars, One Dress, A Whole Lotta Leg: Who Wore This Sheer Number Best?

Jennifer Morrison isn’t a music star, so we can’t blame her for looking to music videos for style inspiration to help her fit in at last night’s Billboard Music Awards.

But we didn’t think she’d be inspired quite so literally, wearing the same exact super-sheer Kristian Aadnevik dress seen on Selena Gomez in her “Come and Get It” music video.

Who Wore a Camo Gown Best: Mama June or the Duck Dynasty Ladies?

May/10/2013 at 01:30 PM ET

Most of Hollywood may have been inspired by punk this week, but several other stars opted for completely different inspiration for their bold gowns: a hunting trip.

This past Saturday, Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June exchanged vows with her love Sugar Bear in an elaborately draped and ruffled camouflage gown, accented with an orange sash and petticoat (and tie-dye roses, of course!)

And then on Wednesday night, the ladies of Duck Dynasty attended the A&E upfronts looking like they may have visited the same dress shop, clad head-to-toe in duck-print-camo (pictured are Korie and Jessica — the rest of the women wore pink duck camo for a little variety).

We had never considered all the black-tie possibilities of everyone’s favorite hunting print, but the stars from these two very different reality shows certainly make a compelling case. And we appreciate both Mama June’s commitment to the theme, as well as Korie and Jessica’s more cocktail-appropriate take on the look.

Kim Kardashian vs. Kris Jenner: Family Faceoff!

These days, Kim Kardashian is more likely to be spotted in bump-friendly outfits than her signature form-fitting sheaths, but that doesn’t mean she’s letting her expensive designer dresses just sit in her closet.

In fact, she’s playing de facto stylist, outfitting mom Kris Jenner for Monday’s E! upfronts in a $3,690 red lace Valentino number that Kardashian wore last May to promote her fragrance in London.

No slouch in the style department, Jenner gave the number her own spin, adding matching red pointy-toe pumps and a black woven clutch to her look, and finishing the look off with high-shine red lips.

Though the Kardashians’ net worth is estimated to be in the tens of millions, the family never lets a good look go to waste, recycling many of their outfits amongst themselves, maternity wear included.

Another Awards Season Fashion Faceoff: Naomi Watts vs. Chrissy Teigen

Typically, once a high-fashion gown gets worn to a big awards show, it’s considered off the market (as in, no other celeb will pick it for another red carpet event). Especially when the star in question is a big-name, Oscar-nominated actress.

But that didn’t stop Chrissy Teigen from breaking out the same gold-and-black Alexander McQueen number Naomi Watts had worn back in January to the People’s Choice Awards. And we’ve gotta say: We can’t really fault the model. The gown is such a stunner that we’re almost glad it got a second moment in the spotlight. And if we had the chance to wear it, we wouldn’t dream of saying no. (After all, this is a design we deemed so amazing, we included it in our best of the best gallery featuring the top red carpet looks of the entire awards season.)

Were Sally Field and Hilary Swank Wearing the Same Oscars Gown?

Feb/25/2013 at 08:00 AM ET

If you liked Sally Field’s glamorous red Valentino at Sunday night’s Oscars, then you’ll love the crimson Valentino Hilary Swank wore to the Vanity Fair after-party. Wait a minute. (Cue cartoon-ish double-take.) Are the two A-list Oscar winners wearing the same gown on the same night?

As it turns out, not exactly. Field’s Valentino gown features ruffles along the skirt where Swank (who accessorized with Ritani jewelry) selected a gown made of sheer lace, and their long-sleeved bodices had slightly different ruching.

But we’re still pretty surprised that a major fashion house like Valentino would lend two such similar dresses to two such big-name stars to be worn within hours of one another.

Not to mention it was the third full-skirted gown by the designer in that trademark “Valentino red” seen that night — the other one being, of course, Jennifer Aniston‘s “easy to pee in” stunner.

All three ladies looked lovely, but we’re more than a little perplexed. Tell us: Did you think Field and Swank were wearing the same dress? Which one is your favorite?

Turns out the LBD isn’t the only universally flattering dress: Jordin Sparks, Demi Lovato and Sofia Vergara are three beautiful women with three very different body types — yet they all looked good in the same gown.

All of the ladies have stepped out in the same leather bustier dress with an electric blue chiffon skirt, but each star put her own spin on the look.

Epic Fashion Faceoff: Nicki Minaj vs. Julie Bowen vs. Paula Patton

What do Nicki Minaj, Julie Bowen and Paula Patton have in common? Before Sunday night, it probably wasn’t much. But now all three are bound by one very chic name: Monique Lhuillier.

Minaj wore Lhuillier’s silk faille strapless trumpet gown to the American Music Awards on Sunday, opting for the lime-green hue. We were actually surprised to see the star wearing something so … conventional, but she kept her styling expectedly over-the-top, adding a candy-pink lip, unruly platinum blonde waves and a multicolored Charles Albert statement necklace.
