In the flick, Zeta-Jones plays Tulip, a gambler’s wife with a penchant for too-tight gym clothes. With her face-framing cleavage and conspicuous accessories, her styling is more than a little reminiscent of Julia Roberts‘s Oscar-winning turn as a scantily clad legal clerk in 2000′s Erin Brockovich. The provocative look also marks an upswing for the actress, who recently supported hubby Michael Douglas through a battle with cancer — and tackled personal issues of her own.

For her 33rd birthday celebration in New York Sunday night, Katie Holmes stepped out with husband Tom Cruise, 5-year-old daughter Suri and one other familiar something: a $1,250 silk Holmes & Yang jumpsuit layered over delicate lace.

Three years ago, after her debut performance in All My Sons on Broadway, Holmes, then a burgeoning designer, selected the same outfit in a contrasting color scheme. Layering the strapless silhouette over a finespun blouse, the actress received conflicting reviews for both her performance — and the sartorial choice.

Critics be damned, the star revisited the look Sunday night, wearing a black version (which she also wore in October) with a mock turtleneck blouse and black-and-white T-straps. When Jennifer Aniston showed up to Monday night’s New York premiere of Five, we assumed the Dolce & Gabbana pantsuit she wore to January’s People’s Choice Awards had been repurposed.

However, upon closer inspection, the megastar, who once said she would wear a bathing suit “for as many years as the strings still tie,” was wearing a very similar – but slightly different! — vest ensemble.

Nearly imperceptible differences in the Dolce suits include tailored darts, nominally different pockets, covered buttons and oh yeah, a peek-a-boo corset.

Leopard is one of fall’s hottest trends, but less-fearless fashionistas have been sneaking it in with bags and belts. Not so these stars, who have committed full-out to the trend, sporting it in style with Current/Elliott’s red-hot “Leopard Stiletto” jeans.

The skinny style, which retails for $198, comes in two washes, a camel and a faded gray, which render the bold-print neutral enough to pair with a variety of looks. From left, Sarah Jessica Parker wore hers with a satin trench to take in a performance; Isla Fisher added a pop of color with bright flats; Mandy Moore topped hers with a loose-fitting tank; and Katie Holmes hit a concert in hers wearing a Nantucket red boyfriend sweater.

It looks like even Lindsay Lohan has caught the Pippa bug!

For Kim Kardashian’s star-studded nuptials on Saturday, the actress donned a white version of the glamorous green Temperley gown Pippa Middleton wore to her sister’s royal wedding; Temperley’s public relations team says they didn’t lend Lohan the gown, but believe she purchased it from their Los Angeles store for the Saturday wedding in Montecito, Calif.

And while conventional wedding wisdom says that a guest should never wear white, the hue was actually at the bride’s behest; she requested that the 450 guests “please wear black or white.”

The gown, a floor-length satin dress with a crystal brooch, was first created for the Duchess of Cambridge’s little sis. “I was honored that Ms. Pippa Middleton asked me to design her dress for the Royal Wedding evening reception,” the British designer said at the time. “She loved the green color, which looks great on her skin tone. The dress was designed especially for her with a fantastic open back and a full skirt for dancing in.”

While Middleton paired the show-stopper with a sparkling clutch and Aruna Seth heels, Lohan stuck with the white motif, adding a fringed updo plus jewels by Philip Press, Elodie K. and Erica Courtney to complete the look. Tell us: Who do you think looks better in Temperley?

But it wasn’t the first time we’d seen a star looking ready to set sail in a creation by the late designer. Sarah Jessica Parker (just announced as one of Hollywood’s top-earning actresses!) wore a strikingly similar McQueen dress — with the colors in reverse — for husband Matthew Broderick’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star unveiling in 2006. This season, four very different fashionistas have been stepping out in raffia and leather “Gava” pumps by Isabel Marant. While it’s not unusual for stars to go head to head in similar styles, these funky kicks have managed to bridge the gap between supermodel and executive, ingénue and country star. On April 6, Transformers beauty Rosie Huntington-Whitely sported the $825 pair with similarly-hued separates and a complementary hat. The following month, Gisele Bündchen added panache to a work-ready ensemble with the pumps’ thick ankle cuffs. For the CFDA awards, J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons juxtaposed electric green sequins with the must-have shoe. And Monday night, the reality star’s BFF Ciara turned up to the N.Y.C. premiere of For Colored Girls wearing not only the same dress, but even accessorizing the LBD with lookalike leopard print booties! And not only is Kim not mad about the coincidence, she took to her blog to say how funny she thinks it is, even admitting she follows in Ciara’s fashionable footsteps sometimes too! At last night’s premiere of Never Let Me Go during the 54th annual BFI London Film Festival, two of Hollywood’s most notable and fashionable ingénues showcased their very distinct styles. British beauty Keira Knightley channeled Old Hollywood, sparkling in an intricate beaded Chanel Couture number with pearl draped sleeves, hip cut-outs and a dangerously low back that nearly exposed her derriere. She finished off the look with sky-high black platform heels from Charlotte Olympia. Meanwhile, steady style standout Carey Mulligan opted for a more graphic take on red carpet glamour, dazzling in a white crepe de chine Vionnet halter dress with multicolor pleated inlays that she paired with gold patent Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. What if you wore the exact same thing to a big Hollywood premiere as someone else? Now, what if you had been planning it for months? Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver turned up to the premiere of their new film You Again in matching teal David Meister dresses—on purpose! The duo showed their sense of humor in recreating their accidental onscreen faceoff in the comedy, also in dresses by Meister, for their big night. Turns out the funny ladies had the idea themselves earlier this summer and went to Meister for help in making it happen, collaborating with him on the style and the color choice. And for his part, the designer had a ball participating in the scheme. He tells PEOPLE, “It was a blast being at the premiere and it was a pleasure to be able to dress these two beautiful ladies once again.” It’s not the first time Sigourney has commissioned a dress from Meister — she loved her sheath in the movie so much that she had him design her sleek red gown for the 2009 Emmy awards.–Melissa Liebling-Goldberg
