Sneak a Peek at Missoni for Target

Target’s biggest designer partnership to date — its collaboration with Missoni — is launching in mere days. Going live in Target stores and on target.com on Sept. 13, with an early preview in New York City on Fashion’s Night Out, Sept. 8, it features more than 400 pieces for women, men, children and home — and is arguably one of the most hotly anticipated collaborations yet.

So what can you expect from Missoni for Target? Aside from the classic patterned knits, look out for men’s ties, bowls and platters for the home and even a bicycle. Items range in price from $2.99 to $599.

In the clip above, Margherita Maccapani Missoni, daughter of creative director Angela, talks about the “very big” collaboration as well as the campaign, which channeled Italian movies of the 1960s, the era when Missoni became famous outside of Italy.

Avril Lavigne’s Abbey Dawn Coming to New York Fashion Week

Avril Lavigne Shows Her Line at New York Fashion WeekEthan Miller/WireImage

It’s been three years since Avril Lavigne introduced her Abbey Dawn clothing line, but lately, the singer is breathing new life into the rock ‘n’ roll-themed collection — and plans to show off her latest creations next month at New York Fashion Week.

“I’ve done a fashion show there before and it’s, like, kind of a really big deal,” she told PEOPLE at the MAGIC Abbey Dawn after-party at PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace on Tuesday. “I’m on tour in Europe but I made sure I can do it. I have two hours to do it, then I leave. I fly for like 24 hours but its really important and I’m super honored.”

Though Lavigne will be in a serious time crunch, she said she’s particularly pumped about showing off her newest pieces. “Heels, footwear. And now I have men’s stuff so it feels complete,” she shared. “It’s my brand, it’s my baby. It’s the first time its a full collection of everything, outside of clothing. There are so many different categories.”

Banana Republic’s ‘Mad Men’ Collection Hits Stores

Banana Republic Mad Men Collection

The success of AMC’s Mad Men has given us lots of great things — Jon Hamm, anyone? — but our favorite contribution is the return of sexy ’60s style in all its figure-flattering glory, courtesy of the show’s Emmy-award winning costume designer Janie Bryant. Now she’s teamed up with Banana Republic to bring that signature look to fans, in prices ranging from $40 for their silk scarves to $250 for a classic leopard-print haircalf satchel.

In addition to three of our favorite looks (above), score a ladylike tweed jacket straight out of Betty Draper’s closet or a curve-hugging cowl-neck dress that would suit secretary Joan Holloway — and while you’re at it, give your beau a touch of Don Draper’s masculine style with Banana Republic’s Mad Men men’s collection.

Ready to shop the stylish ’60s? Head over to Banana Republic’s site to peruse the whole collection.

Who Knew? Mary-Kate Olsen Trusts Subtle Style Secrets

From frugal finds to investment pieces, there is a surprising method to Mary-Kate Olsen‘s styling madness: restraint! Revealing to WhoWhatWear.com that she prefers refined basics to offset bolder choices, the more eclectic Olsen calls a $29.99 tee from her StyleMint collection “an essential wardrobe staple.” And while she praises the “intricate, metallic detail” of a Chanel pre-fall look, it’s a streamlined carryall from The Row that she dubs “Chic. Period.”

Equally restrained are her beauty picks, which include Tom Ford’s Black Orchid perfume for “hints of sandalwood and patchouli” and By Terry Rose Balm for that perfect pout. And when a look demands that hint of edge, Olsen reaches for Elizabeth & James’s $155 “Lafayette” frames. As she insists, “The shape flatters the face.”

Looks like Elle Fanning admires her sister in more ways than one! In addition to following in big sis Dakota’s footsteps by becoming an actress, the Super 8 star is taking her sibling’s lead on another aspect of her career — as a fashion model. Just like Dakota, who is the current face of Marc Jacobs’s latest scent, Oh, Lola, Elle is set to show off her fashionable side as the face of the Marc by Marc Jacobs fall ad campaign. According to Racked.com, the fashion-forward star, who credits Alexa Chung and Marilyn Monroe as her style icons, was recently shot by photographer Juergen Teller. And at just 13 years old, it looks like she may have caught a premature case of fashion fever: the budding fashionista has already been to her first Parisian runway show and while there, spent time posing for photos with famed Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. Tell us: What do you think of Elle’s first Marc by Marc Jacobs ads? –Kim Peiffer

VIDEO: Mulberry Throws a Star-Studded (and Very British) Fashion Show!

Could dogs be the must-have of the spring 2012 season? On the heels of Isaac Mizrahi’s dyed poodles, Mulberry models hit the runway with schnauzers! “The moment I saw them, I couldn’t stop laughing!,” first-row attendee Kirsten Dunst told PEOPLE. Other highlights for her? “I loved the colors, the flowy dresses and skirts.” Designer Emma Hill said her starting point for the collection came from Roald Dahl’s fairytale The Fantastic Mr. Fox, but she’s been inspired by another famous Brit recently: Kate Middleton, who has been spotted with a Mulberry clutch. “She is like an ambassador for Britain, and I think it is amazing to see that,” Hill said. “It was genuine that she liked it.” Any chance of the princess-to-be getting a namesake bag, like fellow English style icon Alexa Chung? “You will have to wait and see!” Hill teased. “We’re not much for naming things after people…but never say never!” – reporting by Dimi Gaidatzi
