Nov/10/2014 at 04:48 PM ET

Understated and rational aren’t exactly words that come to mind when we think of Kim Kardashian‘s wardrobe choices, so we’re not exactly shocked to learn that she isn’t a light packer.

But this past weekend, Kardashian managed to surprise us in four super-luxe, full-length coats, all of which were worn within 48 hours between N.Y.C., London and L.A.

Kylie Jenner Says Her Style 'Changes Every Month,' Plus, See Kendall's New Haircut!

Nov/10/2014 at 11:41 AM ET

We’d love to get a tour of Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s closets, but since that’s probably not going to happen (it’s still on our bucket lists, don’t worry), we made sure to ask the sisters all about their style while they were promoting their new PacSun collection in Chicago Saturday. And the teenage stars were very candid about what they’re loving right now.

What should you do with that denim shirt hanging in your closet? Pair it with more denim, of course — at least that’s what they’d do in Hollywood, anyway. Stars continue to bring the denim-on-denim inspiration, despite the fact that it can be tricky for the average girl to pull off. Want to try? Here are three different ways get your jean on, from beginner to advanced.

The Cotton Button-Down That Does Something Other Button-Downs Don't

Nov/05/2014 at 08:00 AM ET

If you don’t have a crisp classic button-down hanging in your closet, we’re about to make the case for why you need one. And if you do have a crisp classic button-down hanging in your closet, we’re about the make the case for why you need this particular shirt — because our bet is that this one is way better than any other version you’ve tried.

Editors here were hesitant when we saw the price tag, but we’d heard from multiple people that it’s a game-changing shirt so we put aside our doubts and put on the button-down. And now we know why people are willing to throw down that much cash on a piece of clothing (and why Oprah Winfrey named it a fashion must-have): It uses something called dual-button technology, which means that there is the regular row of buttons down the shirt, but there are also two hidden buttons placed exactly where shirts tend to gap (the worst).

And because of the unique cut, it won’t come untucked from your pants or skirt (also the worst). Plus, the shirt is made of cotton (the two blue ones and the purple are 97% cotton and the white version is over 70% cotton) so you know it’s comfortable and in the case of the former, machine washable!

Watch this video to see how it works:

One of the editors on the team, Zoë Ruderman, has already added the top to her wardrobe and is planning to pack it for her upcoming trip to Miami, where, along with Style Director Andrea Lavinthal, she’ll be attending Cotton’s 24 Hour Runway Show.

PEOPLE has teamed up with the brand on the really exciting full-day fashion event, which kicks off Friday, Nov. 7, at 8pm and features 1,440 different looks — and Andrea and Zoë will be providing live commentary for a bunch of those. (This crisp blue button-down with a white denim mini will be just the thing to wear for a hot night out in Miami.)

Shop the shirt by clicking on the product in the video above or going here. And don’t forget to catch Cotton’s 24 Hour Runway Show this Friday! You can watch live on People.com and follow us on Twitter for updates on the show and the celebs in attendance.

Editor Favorite: This Bouclé Winter Coat (Inspired by a Moto)

Nov/03/2014 at 06:00 AM ET

When editors at PEOPLE first saw the coat featured in the video below, there were a few things that jumped out at us. 1) It’s like a moto jacket that got winterized (which we love since we’re pretty crazy about moto jackets and mourn the day it gets so cold, we have to store them away for winter). 2) The jacket is bouclé, something that feels really luxe — maybe because it reminds us of jackets with a label that starts with Cha and ends with nel. 3) But despite that high-end feel, it costs under $120. And if you’ve never shopped with our partner site Joyus.com before, you can use the coupon code STYLE15 to get the price down to 100 bucks. 4) The topper is flattering. We tested it out on a bunch of staffers with very different body types and all of them reported that they felt really good in it.

We could keep going with all the reasons we’re fans of this moto-jacket-meets-cozy-coat, but we’ll just let you watch it in action and see for yourself…

You guys may not know this, but when PEOPLE Style editors teamed up with Joyus (our partner in these shoppable videos), we decided that every product we bring to you has to fit a handful of really important requirements. And at the top of that list is affordability, high quality and that it flatters all body types (in the case of apparel). Every piece of clothing, every accessory and every beauty product also has to be something editors would actually wear/carry/use/give as a gift. This jacket definitely fits all the requirements.

In fact, a number of editors on the team already own the jacket, but there are still more who have it on their fall shopping lists … so you better move fast before the topper sells out in your size.

Click on the product image in the tray below the video or click here to order it. And don’t forget to enter STYLE15 to get a 15% discount on the price (if you’re a first-time Joyus.com shopper). But before you check out, take a look at the other products currently in editors’ baskets: heels that are really, really comfortable (no, really), a pretty pendant that shows off your state pride, the most genius water bottle (it keeps drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours, plus it doesn’t produce condensation) and more.

Happy shopping and as always, let us know what you think!

–Zoë Ruderman
