Exclusive: Watch Kristen Bell’s First Shoppable Movie for Target

Oct/02/2012 at 08:00 AM ET

If you’re like us, you’ve spent plenty of time coveting Kristen Bell‘s wardrobe. Target knows that — and they’ve made it a cinch to get her cute clothes with one click. In the debut episode of Target’s mini-movie Falling for You, starring Bell, Nia Long and cutie Zachary Abel, viewers get their first glimpse of the 110 shoppable fashion, beauty and home items selected by celeb stylist Jen Rade. (We’ve got an exclusive look at the video here, but to nab the clothes you crave, check out the shoppable version at Target.com).

The three actors all were excited to team with Target due to their loyalty to the brand (Bell loves that they’re “on point with their trends,” while Long and Abel both note that they visit Target at least once a week) — and they all found items from the carefully curated set that they wanted to take home.

Nicole Richie Reveals the Secret to Styling One of Fall’s Hottest Trends

Oct/01/2012 at 05:00 PM ET

Nicole Richie Flynet

Rocking graphic prints is tough. You run the risk of looking like you’re wearing a bedsheet, or according to Nicole Richie, something you’d find at a campsite.

“Look for prints that have a darker background and the accent is a pop of color, as opposed to a large, overall bright print,” Richie tells PEOPLE. “That’s the difference in what makes you look like a colorful tent or actually complementing the body.”

Once you find the most flattering pattern for you, the Macy’s designer recommends putting your own touch on the outfit to stand out.

“If I was telling someone how to accessorize, I would just say keep throwin’ on the jewelry, keep throwin’ on the glasses — that’s just how I do it. But you have to do what’s comfortable for you.” Tell us: Do you pile on accessories like Richie or are you a ‘less is more’ kind of girl?

Confession: We wish Emily Current and Meritt Elliott would come over and dress us every day. The celeb stylists are responsible for the looks of stars like Mandy MooreNikki Reed and Lucy Hale — and just seem super-cool, to boot.

They’re denim experts, as well, known for the line Current/Elliott, and share their jean wisdom in the October pages of PEOPLE StyleWatch (it’s our denim issue, if you haven’t heard!). So as an added bonus, we got them to pick their five must-have pieces for fall. Be sure to bookmark this page; you’re going to want to buy everything!

1. Leather Leggings
“Stretch leather pants are so comfortable and wearable,” the ladies share. “They’re an instant way to update your favorite sweater or add a more polished and luxurious look to a simple tee.” A basic ankle-length pair will show off your shoes, though the stylists love edgier versions with zippers and hardware, too. And if leather is too pricey, try faux leather or coated denim. “They’ll give you the same look at half the price,” they say.

Jordana Brewster Has No Qualms About Her Love of Leather

Sep/17/2012 at 09:00 AM ET

Jordana BrewsterSplash News Online

Jordana Brewster doesn’t mind inviting a little controversy through her style: the Dallas star admits leather products are among her must-have items for fall.

“I like leather a lot,” she told PEOPLE last week at a Stand Up to Cancer benefit in L.A., adding that it’s real, not faux, she covets.

Brewster, who said animal prints are the one seasonal trend she “hates,” isn’t worried about PETA coming after her for her love of leather, either. That said, her tastes could be worse.

“I won’t rock fur,” she explained. “That I do no more!”

But good style isn’t the only secret to looking stellar. The actress, whose skin was glowing as she walked the red carpet, provided a few of her tips for staying svelte.

“I drink a lot of water,” she said. “And working out helps, as well as eating whole foods. I’m not a vegetarian but I think trying to eat organic and trying to eat local is really important.”

Added Brewster, “I don’t eat red meat because it started grossing me out and I love animals. But I eat as many greens and vegetables and whole grains [as I can].” Tell us: Do you wear real leather? How about fur?

POLL: Are You Going to Wear White This Season?

Sep/04/2012 at 06:00 PM ET

When it comes to fashion, some say there are rules to follow … and some say we should break them.

So now that summer is unofficially over, we want to know if you’ll be breaking the biggie: Will you be wearing white after Labor Day?

The post-Labor Day fashion mandate has been passed down for generations, but the actual reason for the rule remains murky. Is it for practicality? Symbolism? Ultimately, it comes down to whether or not you feel bold enough to break from tradition.

Here at StyleWatch, we don’t subscribe to the rule (we do love a good winter white!), but we also know some women who are stashing their white garb away until Memorial Day — and we don’t judge. Tell us: Will you be wearing white post-Labor Day? Vote in our poll below!
