They’ve lent their keen eye to designing jewelry, but Kate Bosworth and stylist pal Cher Coulter are teaming up for a new endeavor.

The New York Times reports that the duo is working on a “denim collaboration,” which makes perfect sense for the actress, who was named PEOPLE’s 2011 “Jean Queen.”

“Kate loves denim because it’s easy and casual,” Coulter told PEOPLE in October. “She always wears denim to remain comfy while running around town. On the flip side, she also loves to dress up denim by pairing it with a silky button-up and a necklace slung just under the shirt collar.”

We hope she infuses the forthcoming line with the same creative approach!

Modest? Not so much. Rihanna is proudly flaunting all of her assets in her newest round of ads for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans.

The singer — originally tapped as the face of the fall/winter 2011-12 campaign and just announced as the returning face for spring/summer 2012 — strips down to a lacy bra and panty set and a perfect pair of jeans in her latest photos. Past ads have been equally as steamy, with the singer pulling a quick change in the backseat of a car. She recently designed some items for the brand, too, including T-shirts, jeans and a leather jacket.

Rihanna’s latest ads were shot in Dublin, Ireland, by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The photos will appear worldwide in the months to come. Tell us: What do you think of Rihanna’s latest Armani pictorials?

When Ashley Greene agreed to appear in the spring 2012 ads for DKNY and DKNY Jeans, she wasn’t prepared for the magnitude of the project.

“I was walking and I was like ‘Oh! I didn’t expect to see that!’ she tells PEOPLE of confronting her Times Square billboard for the first time. “It’s humungous.”

The images, shot by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who have worked with everyone from Kate Moss to Lady Gaga, are what she calls “edgy and a little rockstar-ish.”

Crediting the photographers’ expertise (“They are like a well-oiled machine. It was very easy, breezy, organic and fun”) and a temporary clip-in fringe  (“It kind of totally transforms things”), Greene calls the ads “an extension of me.”

The look of the shoot is also true to the “grounded” star, who worships moisturizer and sunscreen. “Eyelash curler, mascara and a bit of eyeliner is my go-to. And then usually concealer and lip balm,” she says of her routine.

Even less maintenance heavy? Her thick and glossy mane. “People will probably hate me for saying this, but I got pretty lucky,” she says earnestly. “I can usually brush it and let it dry. It dries pretty nicely.”

On Saturday, American Horror Story star Suvari covered up in a fur-lined parka, leopard scarf and combat booties. Her only ventilation? Seriously slashed denim.

That same day, Olsen stepped out in N.Y.C. sporting a menswear-inspired overcoat, a doctor’s bag by The Row and black skinnies — with conspicuously cut-out knees.

Two days later, Hudgens, whose penchant for throwback looks has not gone unnoticed this year, rounded out the trifecta. Wearing a cropped shearling and vintage-style accessories, the star completed her look with (what else?) distressed denim.

WEIGH IN ON MORE STAR STYLE IN ‘LAST NIGHT’S LOOK: HIT OR MISS?’

“I am a jeans lover,” says Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco. “I literally live in them. So I wanted them to be as comfortable as they make me feel.” The actress searched high and low for her perfect pair, but was never able to find them. So when Raven Denim creative director Yael Torbati asked her to co-design a pair for the brand, she jumped at the chance.

Now available online, the “Kaley” skinny jeans ($193) come in dark olive or jet and feature zipper details. “It’s very clean and sexy, a perfect skinny to dress up or down,” Torbati says, adding that Cuoco was the perfect guest designer. “We selected [her] for her casual offbeat charm and cool, approachable style.”

For every pair of “Kaley” skinnies sold, Raven will donate 20 percent of proceeds to the Friends of Animal Foundation. “It wasn’t a tough choice,” Cuoco, an animal lover, says of selecting the charity. “We have to give a voice to the creatures that don’t have one.”

SHOP STARS’ FAVE JEANS IN ‘I REALLY LOVE MY DENIM’

Good girl gone … designer? Rihanna is parlaying her gig as the face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans into an even bigger job, creating a capsule collection for the brand. The singer designed jeans, T-shirts, accessories and more that will appear in select Macy’s and Bloomingdales locations and on Armani.com in mid-December.

Her Armani Jeans collection includes two T-shirts, two pairs of jeans (one skinny, one boyfriend, her fave), a black leather jacket, a bandana belt and a leather-trimmed canvas backpack. The singer’s “R” logo covers one T-shirt; an outline of her face is prominently featured on the other.

The Emporio Armani Underwear is slightly more Rated R, though; the lace bra-and-panty sets come in cobalt blue and pearl gray and the words “Rihanna for Emporio Armani” are written on the straps. Tell us: Would you buy clothing or underwear designed by Rihanna?

She’s conquered the beauty world as the face of Mark, and now, Ashley Greene is taking the fashion world by storm. The Twilight star was just tapped as the new face of DKNY and DKNY Jeans, and will appear in the brands’ spring 2012 ad campaigns.

“I’ve always loved Donna Karan’s creations,” Greene said in a release. “To be a part of the brands’ message is incredibly exciting because it feels like such an organic fit. It’s easy to talk about how these clothes work for my lifestyle, whether I’m in New York, L.A. or traveling for work.”

Greene’s been spotted in Karan’s clothes several times recently at Twilight premieres, charitable events and in a custom creation at the May Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala (left).

“Ashley embodies everything DKNY — her energy, her spirit, her eclectic personal style,” Donna Karan vice president Patti Cohen shared. “She is on the forefront of what it means to connect with a global fan base through social media, a focus that is aligned with our digital and new media initiatives.” (The actress has nearly 1.3 million Twitter followers.)

QUIZ: GUESS THE STAR BARGAIN

As a Victoria’s Secret Angel, Miranda Kerr is a pro at showing skin, but she’s not so used to calling the shots. However, the model mom found herself in the designer driver’s seat recently, directing for the latest rag & bone DIY campaign — a series in which the models shoot their own images.

To capture her photos, Kerr turned called upon two famous faces: fellow Angel Lily Aldridge, who took pictures of her pal in New York (below) and husband Orlando Bloom, who shot images during a family vacation in New Zealand. The photos feature Kerr wearing the “Kensington” skinny jeans, the basic tee in poppy and the round-neck tee in heather gray, plus other pieces by the brand.

STUDY UP ON PIPPA MIDDLETON’S FAB FALL STYLE

Sure she’s known for her spot-on fashion choices, but how does Kate Bosworth always manage to look so polished? Just ask her stylist and longtime friend, Cher Coulter.

“She’s got this effortless approach to style, and never overdoes it,” Coulter tells PEOPLE of the actress. “She’s also fun and fashionable and willing to take risks. She’s simple, chic and always looks happy in what she’s wearing.”

Naturally, Bosworth stays up on the latest trends, but surprisingly comfort plays a part in her daily outfit selection, too. “We like to get creative with current trends, but Kate has to feel good and comfortable,” says Coulter, who partnered with the actress to launch JewelMint, a subscription-based site that curates earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets for shoppers based on their personal preferences. And that’s one reason the jeans queen can always be seen rocking denim.

“Kate loves denim because it’s easy and casual,” Coulter explains. “She always wears denim to remain comfy while running around town. Leopard is one of fall’s hottest trends, but less-fearless fashionistas have been sneaking it in with bags and belts. Not so these stars, who have committed full-out to the trend, sporting it in style with Current/Elliott’s red-hot “Leopard Stiletto” jeans.

The skinny style, which retails for $198, comes in two washes, a camel and a faded gray, which render the bold-print neutral enough to pair with a variety of looks. Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz is expanding his resume with design and modeling gigs for Abbot + Main, but the actor says that being in touch with his fashionable side doesn’t make him any less of a man.

“I think a strong, masculine guy can have soft qualities as well,” he told PEOPLE recently at the WWE and Creative Coalition’s Be a STAR event in L.A. “My line is not the girly-girl line. It’s a comfortable line for guys, and that’s how I live my life. I want to be comfortable. I can still be tough. I can still run.”

To find inspiration for the collection, which hits Nordstrom stores soon, Lutz went straight to his own closet. “Every decision came through me,” he said. “All of the designs, we raided my closet, stuff like that. I know exactly what kinds of comfortable clothes I like, so it’s all about the fine linens, knits, tops.”

And it looks like his creations are becoming quite popular with his friends and fellow Twilight-ers — in fact, costar Ashley Greene already steals his clothes! “She always does,” he said. But it’s not a problem. “I think girls who rock guy’s clothes are cute,” he continued. “See-through jerseys. Yes!”

Lutz may be the first of the Twilight cast to delve into design, but he said other co-stars may soon follow in his fashionable footsteps. “[Robert Pattinson] and I were talking about doing clothing lines,” said Lutz. “He didn’t know I was doing mine. He was like, ‘I should do one,’ and then he found out I was doing one and he was like, ‘Really?’ He wants to do one too.” Perhaps vampire chic is the next hot trend?

Audrina Patridge caused jaws everywhere to drop when she unveiled her sexy, larger-than-life billboard on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, but the Audrina star and sultry face of Bongo says her ads for fall continue to raise the heat index. “This new campaign was a little more edgy and flirty, every season there is definitely something that sets it apart from other brands,” she tells PEOPLE. “The lighting was a bit darker than usual — it was more flirty and moody this time around.” The on-set emotions are reflected in the line’s fall collection, which features sleek outfits the reality star can’t wait to get her hands on. “I’m loving the animal prints and of course the denim jeans along with the embellished details,” she says. “I always buy a great new pair of boots and Bongo has amazing jeans for fall that I love. Teens everywhere have been amping up their wardrobes with eclectic pieces from Madonna and daughter Lourdes’s juniors clothing line, Material Girl. And now, the mother-daughter team is building up the brand to include beauty products, intimates and sleepwear, plus outerwear, party dresses and an expanded denim line. First up are intimates and sleepwear, which debut in stores this month and will include everything from solid and polka-dot push-up bras to bustiers, sweatpants and even girly boxers. Next will come beauty products, including nail polish, lip glosses, body sprays and lotions, all hitting stores on Aug. 15, with eye palettes launching on Sept. 15. 
”It was so much fun getting to pick all of my favorite scents for the Material Girl body products and lip glosses,” Lourdes told WWD. “The body products have fun names like Wicked Watermelon, Flirty Fruit, Midnight Magnolia and Sinful Sugar. I chose scents that I loved.” After girls everywhere start smacking their lips with the new glosses, they can stock up on fall fashions like studded and acid-wash skinny jeans, outerwear like cape coats and bomber jackets, and a collection of sequin-covered, feather-accessorized dresses, also coming to stores in fall. The images, shot by photographer Nino Munoz on location at Saddleback Ranch in Malibu, feature a dusty-looking Aubry, looking sultry in his perfectly fit jeans and tousled hair. The model dad even gets romantic in some of the other images containing Vyalitsyna, embracing his costar while they rock their denim looks. We’ve seen these stars working intricate designer dresses in recent weeks, but these days, they’re all keeping it cool and casual in denim! Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez and Stella McCartney proved that the relaxed fabric can be cute, each sporting a different denim dress this week. Witherspoon looked country-chic in a comfy denim Imogene + Willie button down — accessorized with a temporary new shoe — while stepping out for lunch with friends at L.A.’s Brentwood Country Mart. Meanwhile, Lopez made her denim a little dressier, choosing a ruffled one-shoulder frock for American Idol on Wednesday night, embellishing it with big earrings and a perky ponytail. And across the pond in London, designer McCartney proved that simple can be sexy when she went out Tuesday in a 3/4-length-sleeve denim shirtdress complemented by brown sandals and a matching leather bag. Kellan Lutz had women around the globe drooling over his shirtless underwear ads for Calvin Klein last year, and now the Twilight star is back to modeling — but this time it’s for a collection he’s designing himself. In addition to being the first-ever spokesmodel for Los Angeles-based premium denim label Dylan George, Kellan is teaming up with the brand’s founder, Daniel Guez, to design a ready-to-wear menswear line. According to WWD, the new 25-piece collection will come to market under a sub-brand called Abbot & Main by Dylan George and focus on separates that range from $48 T-shirts to $248 cashmere hoodies. As for the collection’s name: Abbot & Main, the publication reveals, is an an intersection near Lutz’s California home. –Kim Peiffer

Jessica Simpson is fashion’s newest billion dollar baby — but did she mean to be? Simpson will continue growing her empire this year by adding a ready-to-wear collection and a line of career separates, which are expected to push sales for the company to over a billion dollars. “I never thought I’d be some fashion mogul!,” Simpson tells New York in the magazine’s spring fashion issue, where the cover girl rocks huge, teased hair and bare shoulders. To put that number in context, the magazine explains that Simpson’s company is doing roughly the same volume in sales as designers like Michael Kors. Simpson says that her brand is so popular because she makes the line for everyday women and keeps the focus away from herself. ”What you really need is your basics for every type of person,” she says. “When it comes to other celebrity brands, I think a lot of people do a great job, but it can’t be all about them. Everybody doesn’t want to just look like the celebrity, because they can’t. They just want one element of that style.” Her business manager, David Levin, puts the original idea behind her fashion lines a little more directly, telling New York, “A girl could go to the shopping mall with her mother and she’d have a great new outfit and still have some money left for lunch at McDonald’s.
