<p class="txtcont">Looking for jeans with a $200 fit without the price tag?  Look no further than Gap’s latest denim line &#8212; the 1969 Premium Jeans Collection.  From <a href="http://www.people.com/people/halle_berry">Halle Berry</a> and Molly Sims to <a href="http://www.people.com/people/ashlee_simpson">Ashlee Simpson</a> and Emma Roberts, fashion forward celebs jammed to tunes spun by <a href="http://www.people.com/people/joel_madden">Joel Madden </a>Thursday night, while perusing the new wallet-friendly collection at the 1969 Jeans Shop, a temporary pop-up shop on trendy Robertson Blvd in West Hollywood.  And the ladies couldn’t stop raving about the line, which features 14 different styles for men and women in the softest denim and most stylish washes, all for under $60.  “Gap is always good at the classic jeans &#8212; they fit [well] and they’re easy to wear,” Simpson told PEOPLE.  And she wasn’t the only enthusiast. The favorite pick of the evening?  The “Always Skinny” jean, rocked by Berry, Cobb, Roberts, and <em>Entourage</em>’s Constance Zimmer.  “I just picked up four, five new pairs,” confessed Roberts.  Gap creative director Patrick Robinson is to thank for the new recessionista obsession: Robinson spent a year and a half fine-tuning the line, from shopping around for fabrics, and teaching factories how to make those perfect hand-made finishes, to working with several body types to master that perfect fit.  “For me, honestly, these are the best fitting jeans in the world.  We’ll go up against any brand of any jean, and these fit better,” says Robinson.  “We want[ed] jeans that, for women, make you have the best butt in the world. You want to be able to wear these on a date, you want to be able to wear them out on those nice steak dinners.” And we will &#8211; It’s hard to say no to booty- and wallet-friendly jeans!  The Gap 1969 Jeans Collection is available in Gap stores and online at <a href="http://www.gap.com" target="_blank">gap.com</a> starting August 13. <em>&#8211; By Shruti Dhalwala</em></p>

<p class="txtcont"><a href="http://www.people.com/people/heidi_klum">Heidi Klum</a> knows what it takes to make a good pair of jeans, and she&#8217;s not afraid to shake it!  &#8220;It&#8217;s very important to have a little bit of something fun on the butt,&#8221; she told PEOPLE Tuesday, shaking her derriere at an event to celebrate the launch of her fall/winter 2008 denim line, Heidi Klum by Jordache.  The model and <em>Project Runway</em> judge wore a sheer blouse and a pair of jeans from her line &#8212; complete with &#8220;booty bling&#8221; on the back pocket &#8212; to greet fans and sign autographs at Bloomindgale&#8217;s in Manhattan on Tuesday.  Working on the line, Klum learned that how a pair of jeans fits on a girl&#8217;s behind is the most important thing to consider when designing.  &#8220;The first thing girls do [when putting on a pair of jeans] is turn around and look in the mirror and they look what their butts look like,&#8221; she said. &#8220;It just has to look right and as perfect as possible.&#8221;  Unfortunately, her jeans were the only thing Klum wanted to talk about, playing coy when asked about recent reports that <a href="http://www.people.com/people/jennifer_lopez">Jennifer Lopez</a> would be the guest judge for <em>Runway</em>&#8217;s season finale.  &#8220;Maybe,&#8221; she said with a grin. <em>&#8211; Chris Willard</em></p>

And when PEOPLE talked to the debonair fashion expert at the Tide and Downy Total Care Launch Party, he expressed his disapproval of <a href="http://www.people.com/people/katie_holmes">Katie Holmes</a>&#8217;s <a href="http://www.people.com/people/stylewatch/gallery/0,,20201637_20218665_2,00.html">recent penchant</a> for fall&#8217;s new baggy jeans.  &#8220;I have to say, Katie Holmes has become so much more sophisticated in so many ways, but I think she&#8217;s in a dip right now. I can&#8217;t explain it.&#8221; Gunn actually sees the adaptation of the new look as a move back towards her younger look, saying &#8220;She ascended from this tomboyish waif look to an incredible sexy sophisticate.  We realize how much style she&#8217;s capable of. Infusing each of their individual styles with Dollhouse&#8217;s youthful and trendy attitude, the collaboration has produced a denim collection that is meant for all body types and budgets. Expect distressed denim, hand-painted detailing on pockets and seaming, gel embroideries and novelty patterns with metal and zipper details &#8212; all retailing at $58. <p class="txtcont">The blogosphere has been buzzing with reports that <a href="http://www.people.com/people/victoria_beckham">Victoria Beckham</a>&#8217;s <a href="http://offtherack.people.com/2007/03/03/posh-spice-anno/">dVb denim line</a> is being dropped from several top retailers, including L.A.&#8217;s famous <a href="http://www.fredsegal.com/" target="_blank">Fred Segal</a> and <a href="http://www.shopkitson.com" target="_blank">Kitson</a> boutiques. Turns out that while the line isn&#8217;t dropped from Kitson, it&#8217;s definitely not performing up to expectation &#8212; and that&#8217;s being attributed to Posh&#8217;s laissez-faire attitude. Kitson owner Fraser Ross tells PEOPLE, &#8220;She&#8217;s not supporting the line. It&#8217;s not good for her brand and not good for her endorsements. In a tough economy, you need to be in partnership with the people that are selling your line to your fans. That’s the bottom line.&#8221; And it&#8217;s not like she&#8217;s not nearby. Ross tells PEOPLE that &#8220;Victoria lives fifteen minutes from the store. That&#8217;s just bad business.&#8221; But, he hasn&#8217;t given up hope in reviving the line and is in talks with her people to prop up the ailing sales. &#8220;We haven&#8217;t dumped it. Rachel Bilson has long since been one of our favorite fashionistas, wowing us with glamorous red carpet dresses and enviable street style. We cannot wait to see what she has in store for her own line&#8211; maybe some California cool mixed with quirky high fashion? Let it hang!&#8221; So she&#8217;s adding men&#8217;s styles to her already successful <a href="http://offtherack.people.com/2007/06/08/victoria-beckha-1/">denim line dVb</a>, but as stylish as she and husband <a href="http://www.people.com/people/david_beckham">David Beckham</a> are, she insists this is a line for real men. &#8220;If you are a man that likes really skinny jeans, very fashiony, this isn&#8217;t really the line for you. I didn&#8217;t want anything too tight around the crotch. That really repulses me.&#8221; Expect to see bootcut styles with faded washes, with prices ranging from $220 to $285, that all were roadtested on her fashionable husband. &#8220;When I get the prototypes, I try them on him. He says they are the best-fitting jeans he&#8217;s ever had,&#8221; explains Beckham.  And in case you think that Victoria isn&#8217;t doing her fair share of work, she defends herself to <em>DNR</em>. &#8220;I&#8217;m a complete control freak and I want everything to be perfect. I&#8217;m not doing a Britney Spears and just putting my name on something and saying, &#8216;Sell this perfume.&#8217; This is a real passion of mine. People think all I do is go shopping like a miserable cow, but, in actual fact, I work bloody hard.&#8221;</p>

Announced yesterday, it&#8217;s the first global campaign for Bosworth, 25, who up until now has only modeled for Coach in China. The ads aim to feel &#8220;clean, pure and simple all-American,&#8221; said Malcolm Carfrae of Calvin Klein tells <a href="http://www.wwd.com/issue/article/121342?src=rss" target="_blank">WWD</a>.  And despite the fact Bosworth is used to looking stunning on the red carpet, the starlet claims getting in front of the camera can be awkward.  &#8220;It&#8217;s funny, I definitely feel much more uncomfortable modeling because it&#8217;s not something I know how to do,&#8221; Bosworth told <A HREF="http://www.nylonmag.com/" target="_blank">Nylon </A> Magazine. &#8220;When I act, I&#8217;m not aware of the camera; I&#8217;m just there with the actor in that moment. As a model, you&#8217;re very aware of the camera. What I enjoyed most about doing this campaign was finding and becoming a certain character. I think working with people like [photographer] David Sims and [stylist]Karl Templer, who want to find and shape that character, instead of simply capturing a pretty picture, is really exciting. So, this campaign was a little bit like an acting job in that way.&#8221; From what we&#8217;ve seen, we say it&#8217;s a job well done.</p>
