Tommy Hilfiger is in the middle of an epic Fashion Week — two shows down, one to go — but the designer put family first Friday, popping by the fall presentation of daughter Ally’s new line, NAHM.
“I love it,” Tommy told PEOPLE as he perused the collection of cocktail dresses and separates. “I saw some of the samples, but now seeing them on the models, they look great.”
Ally, who cried tears of joy when greeting family and friends, told PEOPLE she was inspired by vintage prints and “strong, powerful women. We’re growing [our customer] up a bit, but she’s also this very effortless, intellectual woman.” Speaking of, the former reality star and her design partner, Nary Manivong, sourced some of their floral and Egyptian-inspired fabrics from Ally’s own vintage collection. “They’re recolored and resized,” Ally explained.
