Erin Andrews is no stranger to sideline reporting — and when combined with her experience as a former Dancing With the Stars finalist, she certainly knew a bit about what to expect from her new gig as a host on the show. But even she couldn’t be prepared for the kinds of challenges she faces every week.

For example: “Wearing high heels and strapless bras! I’m used to wearing flats and boots, not gowns,” she tells PEOPLE, laughing. “I worry about the mic packs strapped to my strapless bra pulling it down, and my forty pieces of hair extensions. [My hair got caught in someone's sleeve] and I grabbed my head to see if my weave was still on. Those kinds of things are different.”

Contrary to what Gleeks may think, Jane Lynch doesn’t always rock Sue Sylvester’s sizable collection of track suits. The comedian prefers more fashionable clothes — though labels don’t always offer much for her lanky 6-foot figure.

Apr/10/2014 at 03:53 PM ET

We were lucky enough to spend our Thursday morning with the stunning Elle Macpherson — somehow her hair is more amazing in person — to celebrate the launch of her Body Collection at JCPenney. Her answer led us to this truly killer photo below (Elle, you should get this on Insta stat.)

Between winning the Best Actor Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club, stealing Wolf of Wall Street with less than six minutes of screen time and starring in the critically-acclaimed HBO show, True Detective, Matthew McConaughey is having the best year ever. So when we received an email asking us if we wanted to interview him about being the face of Dolce & Gabbana “The One” fragrance, we responded (say it with us now) “Alright, alright, alright!”

The actor (at the extreme height of what we’re calling McConaugheCool) was a pure delight on the phone — and we learned so many candid tidbits during our phone chat that we had to list them out for you. (P.S.: The photo at left was taken during our conversation. Okay, fine, there’s no proof of that, but it was the same day — so just go with it.)

In an interview with 17-year-old Rookie magazine editor (and fellow widely watched teen) Tavi Gevinson, Cyrus explains that she’s grateful for growing pains in leaving Disney and ending things with fiancé Liam Hemsworth, because it helped her get to where she is today.
