Talk about a split personality! Whitney Port made an appearance at a store in Sydney, Australia, last week, sporting a top knot, black blazer, red blouse, gold necklace … and pants with mismatched legs.

The designer seems to be in a bit of a mixing phase lately; she’s paired contrasting prints, dissimilar trends and varied textures — and that’s all been this summer. Perhaps it’s a preview of what’s to come in her crowd-sourced runway show next week?

Regardless of why she’s wearing this out-there look, we want to know what you think about it! So vote in our poll below, and leave your thoughts in the comments; your feedback could end up in the November issue of PEOPLE StyleWatch.

So About Thursday’s Questionable Fashion Choices …

Was there a full moon last night? A designer clothing shortage, perhaps? Because something wasn’t quite right in the fashion world; we saw more than a few misses, and we’re slightly concerned. Let’s break it down:

Miley Cyrus stepped out in New York City Thursday evening … looking like she’d stepped off the set of a Nirvana video (left). Wearing high-waisted jean shorts with a camo jacket tied around her waist — plus some heavy boots and that super-short platinum haircut — she channeled the punky ’90s, but not in the best way.

Ali Larter took a big risk at the Bachelorette premiere in Los Angeles (center), wearing a black-and-white striped crop top and matching pants on the red carpet. While the ensemble left us speechless (though Ali definitely has the body to rock it), at press time, 20 percent of you “Loved It” in “Last Night’s Look.”

About Those Blingy Body Chains …

Jul/25/2012 at 06:00 PM ET

BodychainsINF; Splash News Online; FameFlynet

What would you say to your best friend if she was poolside in a bikini and a $2,000 diamond and gold body chain? Yeah, we thought so.

The body bling is becoming a bit of a trend — recently, Rihanna, Whitney Port and Miley Cyrus have all tried the look (Rihanna and Cyrus with a $3,875 chain by Jacquie Aiche) — but what’s the point? It kind of cuts through cleavage and adds lines to the tummy, and unless you have a really bangin’ body, like any of these three ladies, it seems it could have the potential to be quite unflattering. Perhaps this is a style that’s best kept for the rich and famous — though honestly, we don’t see why it needs to be a style at all.

Whitney Port: Creating My Jewelry Line Was ‘a Challenge’ at Times

She’s got the fashion thing down, but Whitney Port recently expanded into a new arena: jewelry. The former reality starlet is launching her Bits & Bobs by Whitney Eve line of accessories this fall, but admits it wasn’t the easiest process.

“I really had to explain and translate what was in my head to the people that know how to make it,” she told PEOPLE Monday night at the What to Expect When You’re Expecting premiere in L.A. “I can’t make it on my own. So that’s always a challenge.”

Introducing Bits & Bobs on her website last month, Port wrote that she “had a blast going through the bins and bins of chains, beads, brooches and vintage jewelry in order to achieve what we have made. I cannot wait for many more [collections].”

The costume jewelry line features “a lot of mixed metals and chains,” Port explained. “It’s vintage-y looking. It’s kind of like punk mixed with a little feminine edge. Lots of golds and silver. It’s pretty exciting.”

What’s a girl to do when her clothing line has found success? Create another one!

Whitney Port is launching a new line, WE by Whitney Eve, exclusively for Apricot Lane boutiques around the U.S. The budget-friendly collection — which boasts five styles for spring and a fuller line for fall — includes a black catsuit ($130), cream skirt ($104), cream blazer (left, $130), navy dress (right, $119) and cream blouse ($93).

Port launched her first line, Whitney Eve, in 2008, in the midst of her run on MTV’s The Hills. The line has always earned mostly positive reviews from fashion critics, and Port was lucky enough to show her fall 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week last month.

To celebrate her WE line, Port is throwing a “garden tea party” at Apricot Lane’s Ardmore, Penn., store on April 19, giving shoppers a chance to peruse the collection and meet the designer. Visit the store’s website for more information. Tell us: Are you interested in Port’s new line?
