Yes, Victoria Beckham did help design a car, and yes, she looked good while promoting it! The star designer — creative design executive at Range Rover — debuted the new Range Rover Evoque Special Edition in Beijing over the weekend, and wore several sharp outfits from her namesake clothing line during her big press days.

Arriving at the event Sunday, Beckham cut a fine figure in a black-and-tan strapless dress paired with knee-high peep-toe leather boots. Later that day, she swapped dresses, choosing a collared taupe frock belted at the waist. The day before, she promoted the car in a sleeveless dress and nude pumps, covering up with a small jacket later on.

There’s another member of the Tilda Swinton fan club: one Victoria Beckham. “I’m quite obsessed with [her],” she tells Harper’s Bazaar U.K. “I find her intriguing, very stylish, she clearly understands fashion.”

Opening up about her clothing line and design process, Beckham — who recently cut her hair — reveals her designer crush, too: Miuccia Prada. “I’m absolutely blown away,” she shares. “Everything she does is genius. I’ve never met her, but everything she does — not just the hair, the makeup, the shows — everything about the brand impresses me.”

Victoria Beckham ‘Screamed’ When She Saw Beyoncé in Her Dress

Victoria Beckham has clothed mega-watt stars like Michelle Williams and Eva Longoria in recent months. But seeing Beyoncé step out in one of her creations last week really put her over the edge.

“I was very excited when I saw it online,” Beckham told Extra last Tuesday at the ASCAP Latin Music Awards in Beverly Hills. “I screamed, and said, ‘Look, David, look!’ She was one hot mama, for sure.”

Though Beckham admitted she still gets “so excited” when she sees stars in her dresses, that Beyoncé moment seemed to top them all. “It was big for me,” the designer said. “She’s incredible, and also an artist that I have so much respect for. I’m a huge, huge Beyoncé fan.”

Beckham, whose namesake clothing line is drawing more attention and critical acclaim as time goes on, said she’s proud of herself — and of her team. “I’m really, really overwhelmed with how well everything’s gone,” she shared. “And I just want to make women feel good about themselves. I want to empower women, make them feel happy and confident and as long as women are out there buying the dresses, I’m going to carry on doing what I feel really truly blessed to do. I’m the luckiest girl in the world, I really am.”

She may be self-conscious about her height, but Victoria Beckham doesn’t mind taking a few inches off of her hair.

“Chopped it off!” the designer Tweeted happily on Friday, a photo of hair on the floor accompanying her post. That same day, she stepped out in West Hollywood, flaunting the new shoulder-length do.

Beckham has worked a variety of hairstyles in her time — everything from extra-long waves to “gamine” bobs. But we think this new look suits her quite well. What do you think? Tell us: Do you like Beckham’s new long bob?

Victoria Beckham Stressed About What to Wear to the Royal Wedding

Victoria Beckham‘s latest Vogue profile touches on some facts we already know: she initially struggled to gain acceptance in the fashion world, eventually defied the critics, took home a British Fashion Award this year — and often Skypes with her London-based team while wearing her PJs.

But there are some fun new factoids about the British superstar, too. For instance, despite her slim frame and gorgeous looks, she’s still self-conscious about her height. “I’ve never been a six-foot-tall, skinny model [she is five feet four], so therefore I want to create an illusion,” she explains. “People always think I’m taller than I am — not just because of the shoes I wear but because of the way I dress. It’s all relatively streamlined.”

She also loves shopping, but rarely visits stores. During a trip to Barneys with Vogue editor Hamish Bowles, she admits she makes most of her purchases through Net-a-Porter.com.

David Beckham’s Biggest Fashion Regret

Victoria and David Beckham
Nikos Vinieratos/Rex USA

David Beckham admits that he’s always liked fashion — but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t had a few misses here and there.

“Me and Victoria wore matching black leather outfits (left) once. They were Versace,” he recalls to H&M Life. “That’s one where I look back, like, ‘What were we thinking?’ We laugh about that one.”

Though the soccer star does have a sense of humor about style, he also takes it quite seriously. “Everything I’ve ever done, I’m involved,” he shares. “If I can’t be hands-on and totally involved, I don’t want anything to do with it. It’s something I’ve always done throughout my career. I don’t want to just give my name to someone to do whatever they want.”

That mantra applied to Beckham’s recent collaboration with H&M; he designed a line of men’s bodywear for the store. “I think H&M loved the fact that I was totally involved,” he says.
