EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW: Tyra Banks and André Leon Talley Talk Jumpsuits on typeF.com

Apr/11/2011 at 04:30 PM ET

Since launching her new style site typeF.com last month, Tyra Banks has been busy dishing on trends, gushing over star looks and filming fashion-filled shorts, aptly called “Fa-Fa-Fa Fashion,” with pal André Leon Talley. The America’s Next Top Model judges offer their expert advice on dressing up items like trench coats and little black dresses. In this exclusive sneak peek at the latest edition, going up on Tuesday morning, it’s all about jumpsuits. “OK, this jumpsuit thing … it’s not going away and thank god it’s not going away because I’m obsessed with it,” Banks says in the clip above. It’s fun to watch the supermodel and her Vogue editor pal banter, and not only do they talk fashion history and give great tips (pick up some fabric dye and turn your tan trench from “blah” to “rrrr,” Banks advises), they raise some good points, too. Like with jumpsuits, Banks says, “We’ve just got to figure out the going to the bathroom thing.” Catch the full episode of “Fa-Fa-Fa Fashion” on typeF.com Tuesday morning.

Tyra Banks: I’m Not a High-Fashion Girl

Tyra Banks has worked the runway in some of the world’s most fabulous fashion, but deep down inside, she says she’s actually not a haute couture girl. The model-turned-mogul — and current business student — tells New York that all the years spent doing fittings for designer gowns actually made her a little, well, nervous. “I always still felt intimidated,” she tells the magazine. “Karl Lagerfeld is dressing me, Yves Saint Laurent is like smoothing my hem or something, and I felt like a little teenage girl and that these amazing designers were around me and that they were like these Greek gods. So I knew it wasn’t my truth. Although I was, like, flattered and like, ‘Oh, this is amazing!’” But the America’s Next Top Model host has still managed to start a few trends; for instance, the meat dress phenomenon, which happened in an ANTM challenge months before Lady Gaga wore her version to the Video Music Awards. “You know I never saw it, I just read about it,” Banks explains, saying she never thought Gaga stole the idea from the show. “Lady Gaga is such an artist that I doubt that she was looking at Top Model or her stylist was looking at Top Model and saying, ‘We should do it.’ I think they just did it and we just happened to do it first.” For more with Banks, check out nymag.com. –Kim Peiffer

Tyra Banks is already in the process of penning a novel and the 16th cycle of America’s Next Top Model premieres Feb. 23, but the talk-show host has yet another pet project in the works–a new fashion and beauty website called typeF.com. Debuting on March 15, Banks hopes to form an online community that will appeal to all types of women. “We’re celebrating diversity with hair color, skin color, hair textures,” Banks tells PEOPLE. “Every woman will see a reflection of themselves on this site.” Along with features on topics from make-up to clothes, Banks will also contribute to typeF.com: “You’ll see a very strong connection with me on the site.” And as for the website’s name–what does the mystery “f” stand for? “I connect to fierce–that’s what it means to me,” says Banks. “But it allows for women to define themselves. It can mean fashionable, fashion-forward, feisty.” But no need to wait another month for a chance at fun freebies. Visitors will be able to pre-register to enter to win prizes such as an iPod Touch and a trip for two to New York City, complete with a $5,000 shopping spree.–Thailan Pham

Elettra Wiedemann Practices 'Model Behavior' for a Good CauseCourtesy Charitybuzz

Having trounced down runways and graced her share of magazine covers, it would be easy for Elettra Wiedemann to sit back and bask in the fabulous life of a jet-setting model, but the face of Lancôme is putting her fame and smarts to good use. The top model and daughter of Isabella Rossellini is pairing her OneFrickinDay non-profit organization with online auction site Charitybuzz for a new initiative: Model Behavior. “We have asked about 30 top models, including Tyra Banks, Eva Herzigova, Brooke Shields, Elle Macpherson and Christy Turlington to donate ‘one frickin dress’ they have worn on the red carpet,” she told PEOPLE. “These gorgeous dresses will be auctioned off on Charitybuzz and the money will go towards buying solar panels for clinics that currently have zero access or very limited access to electricity in Rwanda and Haiti.” Elettra, who recently obtained a master’s degree in biomedicine from the prestigious London School of Economics, is collaborating with Partners In Health (PIH) and Solar Electric Light Fund (SELF) with hopes to raise at least $100,000 for the cause. She joins stars like Selena Gomez, who recently donated a gown to help disadvantaged children via Charitybuzz.
