We all know Rihanna can Talk That Talk, but who knew she was a Gossip Girl too?

When the singer debuted a sneak peek at her new platinum do (which she’ll sport on an upcoming cover of ELLE), we couldn’t help but think of another towheaded trouble maker: Taylor Momsen.

With that chunky fringe and stained pout (not to mention that major ‘tude!), Rihanna is the spitting image of a good Upper East Sider gone bad.

Taylor Momsen Gets ‘Pretty Reckless’ in Paris With John Galliano

Taylor Momsen switched on the City of Lights last night with a packed performance with her band, The Pretty Reckless, to celebrate the launch of John Galliano’s newest fragrance. The face of Parlez-Moi d’Amour took to the stage at the Lapérouse restaurant in a corseted look, her long platinum waves trailing as she belted out three songs, including her single, “Make Me Wanna Die,” reports WWD. And while the scent won’t be on counters until mid-October, finding inspiration for the eau de toilette was easy according to John Galliano, who tells WWD that he envisioned the singer and Gossip Girl star “traveling around the world gigging everywhere, going from one gig to another, and she finds herself in Berlin, stranded,” he muses. “She finds herself having to pour her heart out longhand on paper to this guy that she has just fallen in love with.” Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester

Taylor Momsen Trashes Rihanna’s Pop-Star Style

For Taylor Momsen, art imitates life. Just as her Gossip Girl character, Jenny Humphrey, takes pleasure in shaking things up on Manhattan’s prim-and-proper Upper East Side, so too does the actress seem to enjoy pushing the boundaries in real life. In a recent interview with Spin magazine, Momsen classified her personal style as “high-class hooker” and frowned upon anyone opposed to her black eyes and leggy looks. “I dress for myself,” she told Spin. “Clearly, it’s provocative, but it makes me feel good. And if the only reason it makes someone uncomfortable is because I’m 16, then that person’s a scumbag because it shouldn’t matter.” But the Material Girl muse and lead singer of rock band, the Pretty Reckless, is irritated—to say the least—that pop stars are passing as rock stars these days. “People think pop is rock, and the lines are getting blurred. At just 16, Taylor Momsen has already locked down a starring role as Gossip Girl‘s resident bad girl, a lead singing gig with her band The Pretty Reckless, plus a job fronting Madonna and Lourdes’s Material girl line. And now the actress is adding fragrance face to her jam-packed roster of after-school activities. Starting this fall, Taylor will star in ads for John Galliano’s new women’s scent, WWD confirms. And while details on the campaign are still being worked out, you can expect to see Taylor’s edgy, rocker-chic influence shine through. Taylor Momsen Admits: “I Don’t Brush My Hair”

From her severe black-rimmed eyes to her shiny red lips and perfect bed head, Taylor Momsen’s tough girl look is as much a staple off-screen as it is on. But how long does it take the young Gossip Girl star to achieve rock star perfection? Not long. “I shower, then I put a ton of black on my eyes, then I put lipstick on and a little bit of blush and then, I don’t brush my hair,” Taylor Momsen jokes in a video for MTV.com. In fact, even though Momsen’s heavy makeup looks extremely calculated, the starlet reveals that it’s actually a lot easier than it seems. “[I use] whatever black eyeshadow and liner–that isn’t empty– in my makeup case and charcoal it on,” says Momsen.
