Jennifer Morrison isn’t a music star, so we can’t blame her for looking to music videos for style inspiration to help her fit in at last night’s Billboard Music Awards.

But we didn’t think she’d be inspired quite so literally, wearing the same exact super-sheer Kristian Aadnevik dress seen on Selena Gomez in her “Come and Get It” music video.

Stars’ Secret Weapon for Bronzed, Flawless Skin

May/13/2013 at 06:00 AM ET

This month, we trade in our jeans for cutoffs, our sweaters for tanks, our lazy-Sunday loungewear for bikinis and (if we’re feeling bold) our full-sized shirts for crop tops. Which is why we’re also stocking up on Prtty Peaushun’s “Skin Tight” body lotion, the smoothing, perfecting, beautifying, glow-inducing product that Selena Gomez, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rihanna rely on when they’re showing a lot of skin.

Hear the interesting story behind Prtty Peaushun, find out why it works so well at covering up cellulite and other imperfections then click the product below the video (or click here) to order. And be sure to enter STYLE15 if you’re a new Joyus customer to receive 15% off your order.

Selena Gomez: I’m Writing Songs For Justin Bieber

If you noticed Selena Gomez‘s style is getting pretty edgy post-Bieber breakup, well, good, you were supposed to.

In the June issue of InStyle (check out an exclusive inside pic below!) the star says that as part of her growing period, she’s hoping to push fashion boundaries. “I like to show a little bit of skin in a nice way,” she says. “I love picking out clothes, and it would be a blast to just play dress-up all the time.”

But she also admits that the pressure to get on a best-dressed list stresses her out, and so does her future career, her new music — you name it. “I’m stressed out most of the time,” she shares.

The one thing that isn’t really causing her stress these days: her love life. Despite her on-again, off-again relationship relationship with Justin Bieber, Gomez swears she’s trying to take dating slow.

“I’m from Texas, so I should be married with children already,” she tells the magazine. “I’m in love with love and totally believe in marriage, but that’s not even on my radar right now. I am not putting energy into dating.”

Selena Gomez‘s style was once reliably sweet and angelic.

But following her big breakover — and subsequent reunion with Justin Bieber — her style has taken a turn to the fierce and edgy.

Gone are the pastel minis and flowy, ruffled dresses; she’s now more likely to be spotted in bold braids, crop tops and her new favorite accessory, a bindi.

Red Carpet Trend Report: Sassy Shoes, Funky Pants and Returning Coats to the Closet

Apr/19/2013 at 05:58 PM ET

In our weekly round-up of what we’re seeing sizzle (and fizzle) on the red carpet, we noticed that stars were really into bold prints and patterns — but leaving their heavy winter wear behind.

Up: Funky shoes. No silly-putty pumps or boring black heels for many stars this week. In fact, both AnnaSophia Robb and Katy Perry wore head-turning flats from Aldo, while we saw sexy studded heels on Olivia Wilde and colorful striped sandals on Olivia Palermo. We’re now fighting the urge to do a total shoe closet overhaul.

Up: Bold Pants Outfits. Selena Gomez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hailee Steinfeld and even Jennifer Aniston all ditched pretty dresses for something much more striking and statement-making: the dramatic pantsuit. Strong shoulders, graphic prints and structured tailoring made these looks totally traffic-stopping.

Down: Heavy, Dark Looks. Don’t get us wrong: We like all the components of Sarah Jessica Parker’s look individually. But at a time when hemlines are getting higher, tights are getting stashed and coats are headed to the dry-cleaners before going into storage, this whole outfit together feels a little drab. Nothing wrong with a coat worn as a dress (as Princess Kate knows well): It just needs a slimmer silhouette and a more spring-friendly fabric.
