Mario Sorrenti for Mango

We have always loved Penelope Cruz’s sexy ads for Mango, and now, the Spanish retailer is heating things up even more — with Scarlett Johansson! After four seasons Penelope is passing the torch to her Vicky Cristina Barcelona costar, who will take her place as the new face of Mango starting with the Fall/Winter 2009 campaign. Unlike Penelope, Scarlett won’t be designing a collection just yet — but Penelope and sister Monica’s line will be on hiatus for fall — but she is no stranger to getting sultry for the camera. The sexy star posed pin-up-style as the face of Dolce & Gabbana Makeup. This time around, Scarlett is taking a more cosmopolitan approach with shaggy hair and dark makeup to represent the chic and independent Mango woman. Venturelli/WireImage

She may have been in one of the world’s most romantic cities, but it was no lazy Sunday for Scarlett Johansson, who joined Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana yesterday at department store La Rinscente in Milan to launch the design duo’s debut color collection, The Make Up. And as the face of the much-anticipated line, Scarlett drew a buzz-worthy crowd. WWD reports that more than 1,000 fans turned up to get a glimpse of the design stars and their muse. And the actress, who has also modeled for Louis Vuitton, revealed to reporters that posing for the ultra-glam campaign was all about using her acting talent to channel a persona, “And who doesn’t want to look like the femme fatales from the Forties and Fifties?” she said. Yesterday’s launch wasn’t the only Dolce & Gabbana event creating a stir. On Friday, a coterie of Hollywood fashionistas including Kate Hudson, Eva Mendes, Freida Pinto and, of course, Scarlett hit the label’s runway show and VIP lounge, and tonight even more stars plan to turn out for an exclusive Extreme Beauty in Vogue launch party for the event.

Dolce & Gabbana Launch Makeup Line — With Scarlett Johansson as the Face!

Richard Young/Startraks

We already love their sexy dresses, fabulous fragrances and amazing accessories, and now we have Dolce & Gabbana’s first makeup line to look forward to! The Italian design duo told WWD that Scarlett Johansson will be the face of the new collection, which had input from legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath. “We see makeup as another thing for women, like a dress. We worked on the makeup line like we work on a clothing collection — you can change makeup like you can change your clothes, depending on your mood,” Stefano Gabbana told WWD. The makeup will be packaged in glossy gold slipped into gold pouches, with colors taking inspiration from the Mediterranean (think deep blues and golds). The lipsticks will be scented with rose. “We wanted to create makeup with a scent. Domenico and I remember when we were children and opened our mother’s handbags — the scent of her lipstick trailed out. I observed that when women open makeup, they smell it first,” said Gabbana. As for Scarlett, she was photograhed for the sexy ad campaign by Solve Sundsbo lounging in a bed, recalling images of Marilyn Monroe. “Scarlett is sure of herself,” Gabbana said. “She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easygoing. She is very Dolce & Gabbana.” The products are set to launch for spring with prices ranging from $20 for nail lacquer to $59 for powder foundation. Teen Choice Award Fashion Scoop: Three Superstars, One Super-Stylist

Steve Granitz/WireImage; INF; Steve Granitz/WireImage

Rachel Bilson, Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Bell might have completely different looks, but one thing they all have in common is their stylist Nicole Chavez. For Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards, Nicole tells PEOPLE, “I wanted a very casual, fun, young vibe — I was gravitating towards really soft palettes,” for all her clients. Rachel was Nicole’s first client four years ago when they met on the set of The O.C. and Bilson encouraged her to start styling. Rachel, who won for Teen Choice Movie Actress Action Adventure for her thriller Jumper, wore a blue one-shouldered Brian Reyes dress (someone that Rachel “loves working [with]“). Of her longtime client, Nicole says, “Rachel is very natural with fashion. She’s not afraid to wear something that is a little different or unexpected.” Kristen Bell “immediately gravitated” to her Jenni Kayne hot pink skirt and nude cami. Of the look, Nicole says, “The color combo’s great. It’s super modern, cute. Perfect for Teen Choice.” For Scarlett, it was a Matthew Williamson chiffon dress with a burst of colors on the beaded shoulders, but, says Nicole, “The real statement will be about the jewelry. It’s fun to layer things and be more bold.” All the pieces were from Scarlett’s friend jewelry designer Sonia Boyajian, who designed her engagement ring. Like Rachel, Nicole says Scarlett isn’t afraid of a fashion risk. We love all Nicole’s girls’ looks. Tell us: Who was your favorite– Rachel, Kristen or Scarlett?
