Another day, another gorgeous model landing a huge ad campaign for a coveted fashion label. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Gisele Bündchen and Cara Delevingne have all scored major magazine placement in fall campaigns for Prabal Gurung, Sonia Rykiel and Chanel, respectively, and we’ve got their first looks, below.
What's Hot Now
It’s no secret that we love Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s street style. We also love how she somehow manages to exude sex appeal all the time, even getting off an airplane (seriously, how is that possible?). And her latest shoot for The Violet Files, might be one of her sexiest yet. Good news: We have a sneak peek at the photos.

In the interview, Huntington-Whiteley (who wears everything from a fur coat to a bodysuit) shares that, while she loves her supermodel career, she’s also thought about other occupations. “I would love to have the patience to be an interior designer, but I also like the idea of being a physiologist,” she says.

She also talks about her dream movie role (“Elizabeth Taylor is the ultimate femme fatale”), and her favorite dance partner, her boyfriend of four years Jason Statham (of course!). One of the keys to their success as a couple? They know how to laugh together. “Jason has taught me nearly the whole dictionary of Cockney rhyming slang,” she says. “I get quite a few odd looks because people don’t expect it to come out of my mouth. In the U.S. people just think we are bonkers.”

While the official mission statement for the Cannes Film Festival describes it as an occasion to raise awareness of films that contribute to the development of cinema, we believe that it should be rewritten to, “An event where Hollywood’s finest take fashion risks in plunging gowns, bold lips and noteworthy hairstyles.” (But that’s just our opinion.)
Over the past week we have seen some looks that have left us absolutely envious (Seriously, have you seen Blake Lively lately?) and others that we would be way too timid to try. Take a look below to see which of your favorite celebs earned nods in our beauty and fashion awards for rocking some seriously striking trends.
Boldest Lip: The first award in our beauty category goes to supermodel Coco Rocha (left). While everyone else stuck with a basic red, nude or pink, she opted for a gothic-inspired deep purple to contrast her white Gabriela Cadena column gown. (Take that, Naomi Campbell!)
Biggest Braid: When Blake Lively stepped on the scene on day one of the festival, we didn’t think her enormous plait could be rivaled (see it from all sides here) — but Eva Longoria (center) proved us wrong. The actress showed up to the Foxcatcher premiere with a voluminous fishtail that mirrored her revealing cutout.
Most Enviable Waves ( … and dresses, and husband … ): But Lively did emerge victorious in another hair category. Though tons of Cannes attendees brought the glamour, we ultimately decided that her thick, luxurious waves from the Mr. Turner premiere were the perfect topper for her Chanel Couture iridescent dress.
Highest Slit: After a while, we started to lose track of the number of thigh-high slits we saw on the red carpet this week. Though every celeb seemed to want to show off their stems, we noticed one supermodel that ultimately deserved the prize. Adriana Lima’s Alexandre Vauthier Couture bustier dress (left) took the trend to new heights with an opening that rivals Angelina Jolie’s 2012 Oscars dress.
Maximum Number of Embellishments: We were mesmerized not only by the many colors on Marion Cotillard’s Maison Martin Margiela Couture mini (center), but also by the sheer number of beads, gems and other bric-a-brac it took to make this piece (we’re not going to start counting, but we can guess the total is well into the thousands).
Biggest “YAAAAS” Moment: The second one editor saw Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s look (right), she sent it to the rest of the team with the subject line, “Dead.” All eyes were on the model as she walked down the red carpet in her strapless Gucci Première gown with perfect free-flowing tresses and flawless makeup.

Some fashionistas are born, others are made, and some picked up their best style tips from a Lionel Richie tour in the ’80s. Nicole Richie falls into the latter category. Though we’ve long loved the star’s effortless boho/urban/trendy/edgy style mix, we’ve never known the true origins of her interest in fashion — until now.
“My dad had a costume designer named Edna, and she would make me matching tour outfits out of his excess fabric. We’re talking jewels and sequins, very flashy,” she says in this month’s Philadelphia Style magazine. “She’d let me come to work with her in downtown L.A., and she showed me how she makes all these costumes. When I started competitively figure skating when I was 9, she and I designed all of my costumes together, and I just knew that it was something I wanted to do.”

In our weekly roundup of the looks that are gaining fashion ground (and the ones losing their style street cred), we saw some major bow detailing, a top that can’t even be called cropped (it’s too tiny) and footwear that has passed it’s expiration date (for now).

We think the invite for the Brit Awards probably listed a dress code along the lines of “Must Sparkle” or “Sequins Required,” because allover bling was a major trend on the red carpet and on stage at the award show. (Even Lorde complied!) So we rounded up some of the most shiny style moments of the night. Read More
