DKNY sure knows how to party! The legendary brand threw a 25th birthday bash on Monday night in New York City’s Financial District, and we’ve got the exclusive behind-the-scenes video.
Most people may watch the VMAs for the performances (you may have heard some rumors about ‘NSYNC) and craziest moments. Us? We watch for major red-carpet moments. We made predictions, but as years past have shown us, there’s really no way to predict what stars will be wearing. Check out our favorite stars’ style, below, and sound off in the comments about who you’re loving, who you’re loathing, and who is just leaving you scratching your head. Then be sure to click over to see all of our VMA coverage — the wildest moments, craziest quotes and much more — from start to finish here!
If you’re wondering how you know Rita Ora, it may be because you’ve been hearing her music everywhere. Or because her style has been turning heads for months now. But here’s the reason she’s going to be really huge: she’s already landed her first major fashion cover: Elle‘s May “Women in Music” issue.
We have the first look at Ora’s two gorgeous covers. In the first, she’s wearing a pink Chanel Haute Couture gown with a Ken O’Rourke headpiece and her signature red lipstick; in the second she gets cheeky with a Calvin Klein bustier, Philip Treacy headpiece and makeup to match.
This is hardly Ora’s first foray into high fashion — though she did have to get a little aggressive to land the killer Marchesa gown she wore to the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Even though we didn’t see as many stars on the red carpet this week as last — it’s quiet in Hollywood this holiday season! — we still saw some strong trends emerge at various events. What were they? Let’s get to it!
Up: Pops of red. You can thank the holidays for this festive mini-trend, which we spotted on Hailee Steinfeld’s purse, Bella Heathcote’s dress and Rose Byrne’s jacket. Adding just a hint of the bold hue to your outfit is an easy way to look all holiday-y without going overboard.
