Burberry Snows on the Stars in London Fashion Show

Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth at Buberry Prorsum show in London

It was a wintery—albeit stylish—day at the Burberry Prorsum show during London Fashion Week, with stars including Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth popping in for the inclement-weather-themed runway show. “Everybody is asking me if it hurts to sit down with the studs, but it doesn’t at all, it’s just very heavy,” Kate Bosworth told WWD, referring to the Burberry pencil skirt virtually covered with spikes and studs she wore to the show. After a flurry of fashion models stormed down the runway in fur-trimmed coats and belted trenches, the show ended with a blizzard of fake snow covering the catwalk, while models paraded around wearing matching see-through plastic capes over their outfits. And for those who didn’t score a front-row seat like Bosworth and Bilson, many Brits still took in all the action; the show was screened live to the public in Piccadilly Circus in London (and on the web for those of us not in the U.K.). –Kim Peiffer

Rachel Bilson on Her Whimsical New Home Line

Rachel Bilson Launches Home Line

Whether she’s sitting front-row at coveted shows or simply running errands around town, Rachel Bilson often finds herself on best dressed lists — including PEOPLE magazine’s! — for her eclectic California cool style – and now she’s bringing that much-praised aesthetic to the home! The 29-year-old recently launched a line of vintage-inspired porcelain dinnerware in a collection called Edie Rose Home by Rachel Bilson, an affordable, nature-themed tabletop line that includes place settings, butter dishes and teapots. “To stick with fashion, that would be a little more predictable,” she tells C Magazine about expanding her repertoire. “But there’s no one in my demographic, or really any ‘celebrity’ who has a similar aesthetic as me, who’s doing home or tabletop design. I’m sort of obsessed with dishes. I’m always cooking and baking at home, and I hate going out. I’d love to do bedding, too.” Edie Rose Home is available at select Macy’s and on Macys.com Read more from Rachel when C Magazine hits newsstands on February 22. Kate Bosworth and Rachel Bilson’s ‘BFF & Baby’ Style Secrets

Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImage

Kate Bosworth, Krysten Ritter and Rachel Bilson (below) do just fine in the fashion department but for their upcoming film, BFF & Baby, they let wardrobe designer Ilaria Urbinati take creative control. “Rachel’s character is a lot more insouciantly sexy than the other girls. Her style is very off-the-bus from Omaha,” Ilaria told PEOPLE of dressing Bilson’s petite frame in gingham, denim and cotton in the film–think Daisy Duke meets Brigitte Bardot. But the down-home look didn’t go without a high-end touch. “Rachel is wearing a lot of vintage, denim lines like Current/Elliott, accessories from Bare Collection and Christian Louboutin wedges,” Ilaria said. And unlike Rachel, who Ilaria has known for years and says is “game for whatever,” the stylist had never met Kate before. Bosworth, whose BFF & Baby look is crisp, clean and angular, has a character who “is pretty much 99 percent Calvin Klein collection and Jimmy Choo accessories,” she said. Krysten’s girl-next-door look called for the most wardrobe changes. “She wears a myriad of young designers like Rebecca Minkoff, Jill Stuart, Vena Cava and more reasonably priced labels including Mink Pink, Asos, Keds and–well–a lot of my personal clothes,” said Ilaria, who owns hip L.A. boutique Confederacy. And while the characters did overlap with D&G and Dolce lingerie and knits, their diverse onscreen backgrounds called for three separate styles which all sound pretty fabulous! –Jessie Goldberg

Rachel Bilson’s Shady Obsession Snags Her a Gig with Sunglass Hut

    Most Wanted

Photographed time and time again rocking everything from wayfarers and aviators to Jackie-O-esque frames, shades-lover Rachel Bilson was a shoe-in for Sunglass Hut’s first-ever eyewear ambassador. Officially named as the brand’s style director, the actress is humble about her new role, admitting to WWD, “I was very flattered when Sunglass Hut approached me to do this. I can’t say what makes me a good style adviser for them, but I am a huge sunglasses addict. I don’t leave the house without [a pair].” And her love of shades seems to have been a prerequisite, according to the company’s CEO, Fabio d’Angelantonio, who tells WWD, “We wanted a symbol of our philosophy, somebody who’s familiar and relevant to our target [consumer], but at the same time was herself sunglasses obsessed.” Bilson will not only star in the brand’s ad campaigns, but starting in June she’ll pen a trend blog for the company’s website Sunglasshut.com as well as host online consumer chats and video podcasts with fashion-industry insiders. “I love talking about fashion, so I can’t wait to talk to professionals who share the same passion,” she said. Bilson’s first interview will be with designer Tory Burch, but her ultimate dream subject is Chanel designer–and fellow shades-lover–Karl Lagerfeld. “He’s an icon and he wears sunglasses at all times,” noted Rachel. – Marissa Patlingrao Cooley
