Hollywood’s A-list can’t seem to get enough of Stella McCartney’s funky spring collection.

At Thursday’s Swarovski Crystallized Unsigned Model Search Event in London, Helena Christensen (right) added intrigue to a patterned shift with striped, blue tights and a neon-green purse. Previous supporters of the unusual frocks include Charlize Theron, who selected a one-shouldered mini for the L.A. premiere of Young Adult, Gwyneth Paltrow, who celebrated Coach’s 70th anniversary in a one-sleeved version and Nicole Kidman, who sported a burgundy column at the Country Music Awards.

“It’s a celebration of energy, freshness, and fitness,” McCartney told Style.com of the hard-to-pull-off collection. Tell us: Who do you think looks best in Stella McCartney’s spring collection?

Call it blonde ambition: both Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron recently lightened their locks for their new film, The Paperboy.

Kidman appeared on the New Orleans set this week with shockingly bright blonde hair (perhaps a wig?), a big change from her recent reddish hue. The actress vamped up the look on Wednesday with lots of makeup, wearing a half-buttoned blouse, tiny denim shorts and sky-high heels.

Efron, normally a brunet, appears to have added some subtle golden highlights to his flowing hair, giving him a sun-kissed look that matches his rugged tan.

The thriller, out next year, also costars Matthew McConaughey — but not to worry, his honey-brown curls appear untouched.

Las Vegas might be known for playing up the glitz and glam, but for Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards, it was all about the little black dress. Hollywood’s fashionistas including Nicole Kidman, Hailee Steinfeld and Julianne Moore embraced the lighter end of the color spectrum this weekend. At the 26th Annual Santa Barbara Film Festival on Friday, award recipient Nicole Kidman wore a sophisticated belted Nina Ricci shirtdress, which she paired with strappy putty-colored Pierre Hardy heels and an Omega watch. At the same event, Oscar nominee, Hailee Steinfeld, opted for a feminine cap-sleeved Alberta Ferretti frock, punctuated by red Aldo pumps. The following night, in N.Y.C., Moore was red, black and white all over, juxtaposing fiery tendrils with a stark white smock by The Row and matte tights at an HRC event. As Harper Bazaar‘s February cover girl, Nicole Kidman sat down with fellow Hollywood heavyweight Jennifer Aniston – her costar in the new comedy, Just Go with It – to dish on her style philosophy. “I like boy-girl looks. I have no sense of what’s fashionable; I just know what I like to wear,” she tells Aniston. “I don’t like kind of changing with the wind; I like sticking to my own self.” By that, she means staying loyal to designers like L’Wren Scott and avoiding being fussed over with couture confections: “Yeah, Renee Zellweger said she’s just not that interested in having loads of designers make clothes for her; it feels gluttonous. That is so right. It’s not the place to be, particularly in your 40s.” But has the Nashville-transplant really embraced her new hometown style? “I don’t wear cowboy hats,” Kidman admits. “I think they’re cute. I sometimes put one on with a bikini, but it’s a particular look. Nine‘s A-list leading ladies might be decked out in Chopard jewels throughout the movie, but Dolce & Gabbana’s designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, have scored actual roles in the much-anticipated flick! The pair play Italian priests alongside Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Fergie and Marion Cotillard. And though they’re used to rubbing shoulders with Hollywood royalty, working alongside them on this film was definitely a special treat: “We wanted so much to be part of this project! Federico Fellini has always been one of our greatest sources of inspiration, one of the most important Italian directors,” the duo tells PEOPLE through a spokesperson. “For us, being part of a movie inspired by the work of the maestro is like a dream come true. Rob Marshall did an amazing work and the cast is amazing! He was able to put together the most beautiful and talented actresses of various generations and great actors. Nicole Kidman might wear head-to-toe designer labels on the red carpet (the actress looked stunning in Azzedine Alaia at the Nine premiere in London last week) but off-duty, she prefers a very different look. “I collect vintage clothes,” she tells British SHE magazine in its December issue. “I’m obsessed with lace and 1940′s florals.” Slipping into dainty tea dresses is a non-issue for the 42 year-old, given her passion for exercise, and in particular, running: “It’s what my dad taught us – he’s a marathon runner,” she says. And he’s hoping to pass his enthusiasm for fitness on to his granddaughter, Sunday Rose. The actress continues, “He’s 71 and goes on 10-mile runs. He takes Sunday hiking on his back for hours.” With a recipe book that includes fried artichoke pasta, Kidman says she prefers to focus on her health rather than numbers on a scale. “As Keith’s a musician there are pitstops at Wendy’s” she says, adding: “But I’m six-foot tall, so it’s not weight that’s an issue for me, but things like cholesterol.” -Monique Jessen

Talk about an all-star cast! Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Fergie and Marion Cotillard team up with screen legends Sophia Loren and Judi Dench to star in the musical Nine along with leading man Daniel Day-Lewis. And though the much-anticipated musical won’t hit the big screen until November 25, Vogue has already caught a glimpse of the killer costumes created by Oscar-award winner Colleen Atwood, who designed couture-like fashions that date back to the ’20s. And while the extras were decked in vintage, the superstar leading ladies had custom-made costumes to make it easier to sing and dance — 350 costumes and 200 pairs of shoes between them! Expect frilly garter belts, satin-and-lace bras, bustiers, hot pants, flapper dresses and fluffy ostrich-feather fans everywhere. The leading ladies tell Vogue how thrilled they are to be part of the movie, with Hudson gushing, “I spent most of my childhood singing and dancing and just never had the chance to do it professionally. So when I got the chance to work with Rob, I was so excited, I was out of my mind.” Marion confesses to a childhood longing to do musicals as well, “It’s been my dream to do an American musical. When I was a child, Annie was my favorite. Train de Nuit, created by Tautou’s Amelie director Jean-Pierre Jeunet, documents a brief encounter between a man and a woman traveling an Orient Express night train from Paris to Istanbul. In honor of the changing of the beauty guard, the city of New York has declared May 5th Chanel No. 5 Day and has even renamed a portion of Fifth Avenue AVENUE No. 5 in partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue — but only through May 10th. Yves Saint Laurent had many beautiful and famous clients in his time, and until his retirement in 2002, he was still a hit with Hollywood. Nicole Kidman began as a client of Laurent’s himself — wearing a YSL gown to the 2002 Golden Globes — and continued her allegiance to the house with first Tom Ford and now Stefano Pilati at the helm. Nicole tells PEOPLE of the deceased designer, ” He was a master at designing for the female form and he defined an era. His work was meticulous and exquisite. Judging by the long, pin-straight hair that ruled the Oscar red carpet — Reese, Gwyneth and Nicole — we’re all going to be spending a lot of time juggling our hairdryers and round brushes. To speed up the process and avoid arm fatigue, use a lightweight hairdryer that works in half the time, like the T3 Bespoke Labs Featherweight Dryer, $200. We were stumped as to why Nicole Kidman suddenly looked so different at the Rome Film Festival — were her eyebrows darker? Was the dress a departure from her usual style? Was it just that she cut bangs? And then it hit us: She’s gone country! A few months of living in Nashville as Mrs. Keith Urban, and she’s traded in her flat-iron for a hot roller set.
