VMAs 2014: Relive Nicki Minaj's Wardrobe Malfunction in Gifs

Aug/24/2014 at 11:40 PM ET

The VMAs wouldn’t be complete without a ton of crazy red carpet fashion and a wardrobe malfunction (or two). No, Solange’s blazer didn’t slip open, J.Lo didn’t rip her high-slit dress, Taylor Swift‘s onesie didn’t split. The moment happened onstage when Nicki Minaj changed from her green “Anaconda” two-piece to rap her part in Jessie J’s “Bang Bang”.

Minaj changed from her green sparkly two-piece into a sexy black dress, but when she walked back out onstage in an LBD, she was clearly a second or two away from being fully fastened.

“We ran out of time to get the dress zipped up,” Minaj said of the near nip-slip (see the play-by-play below).

Minaj managed to perform the rest of her part while holding her dress into place. But the dress mishap is definitely better than getting bitten by a snake.

On the red carpet, Minaj paid homage to her hit track in a snakeskin-print mini dress. What red carpet look was your favorite? How about stage costume? Share your thoughts below.
