Eva Mendes and Naomi Watts Pretty Up for Pantene

Eva Mendes and Naomi Watts are making us think that movie-star hair is just a shower away in their just-revealed ads for Pantene. The actresses, announced as the new faces of the brand in May, represent Pantene’s “breakage to strength” and “flat to volume” collections, respectively. “The amount of torture I put my hair through with flat irons, blow dryers and curling irons leaves my hair extremely damaged,” Mendes said in May. “With Pantene I can use all of these tools and still keep my hair healthy.” Watts, whose campaign will depict her without extensions or chemically altered hair, said she’s sticking up for women with fine tresses. “I want to let [them] know that achieving beautiful, voluminous hair is possible without damaging [it],” she added. The stars’ ads will hit print and TV markets in July and August; stay tuned to Pantene’s Facebook page for more behind-the-scenes information, too. Tell us: What do you think of the ads?

Eva Mendes and Naomi Watts might not have a lot in common, but one trait they do share? Gorgeous hair. Now, the stunning stars are flaunting their luscious locks as the new faces of Pantene — and we have exclusive behind the scenes pictures! Mendes fronts the “Breakage to Strength” collection, while Watts is modeling for the “Flat to Volume” line. “The amount of torture I put my hair through with flat irons, blow dryers and curling irons leaves my hair extremely damaged,” Mendes said in a release. Mendes said that the stars’ photo shoots were totally trick-free. “Each look was natural and never manipulated and my hair looked healthy and beautiful for every shot,” she said. And Watts claimed that her new shampoo did the job she was never able to do: style her own hair. “Since I became a mother, the time I have for myself has shrunk dramatically. So I am thrilled with Pantene because the quality of the products helps me get the volume I want with very little effort at all.” The ladies’ ads will hit print and TV markets in July. Armani Sketches the Ultimate Power Suit for Naomi Watts in ‘Fair Game’

Naomi Watts' 'Fair Game' Wardrobe Sketches RevealedImages Courtesy Armani

Putting herself in the shoes of outed CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson was no easy task for Naomi Watts, but thanks to designer Giorgio Armani, the two were able to connect through fashion. Building on the women’s uncanny likeness and sophisticated taste, Armani and costume designer Cindy Evans got busy creating the character’s strong style. “When I saw the photo of Valerie courageously testifying before Congress, I wanted to play a part in this project,” explained Armani. “To me, that exemplified a power suit moment.” Plame Wilson, an Armani fan, admits that sharp suits provided her with a sense of security while the real-life drama played out. “Armani’s clothes are modern and feminine, always making me look my best and confident,” she said. “This became even more important when I found myself, reluctantly, placed in the public eye.” To check out the rest of Armani’s Fair Game looks, check out Fair Game with Naomi Watts and Sean Penn, in theaters now. –- Justine Harman

Naomi Watts Plays the Spy Who Loved Armani in ‘Fair Game’

“Valerie Plame wore Armani in real life,” Roberta Armani, designer Giorgio Armani’s niece, told PEOPLE of America’s most famous ex-spy, on the red carpet at the Cinema Society’s N.Y.C. screening of Fair Game on Wednesday. “In real life,” explained Doug Liman, who directed the film starring Naomi Watts about the former C.I.A. officer, “Valerie Plame is incredibly sexy. And you can only imagine how that sexiness would have worked in the field recruiting assets in foreign counties. So, yeah, it was awesome to put a spy in something incredibly beautiful.” Added Watts, who plays the former undercover C.I.A. operative: “To the world, she presents this very soft-spoken feminine, woman, which she is,” insisted the star. “She’s that, plus, underneath it all, she could take you out.” A spy who wore Armani? “I am an Armani fan,” confirmed Valerie Plame Wilson, looking chic in a black pantsuit from the designer. “The first time I really spoke in public was at the congressional hearing. And I treated myself to an Armani jacket, because it made me feel as confident as I possibly could.” So much so that the jacket was recreated for Watts in the movie. “On camera, the real one created a moiré pattern. But she did have pieces of Armani in her wardrobe in real life,” explained Wanda McDaniel, Armani’s executive vice president of entertainment industry communications. Watts not only shared Plame Wilson’s love of the Italian fashion house–both wore sexy Armani creations on the red carpet–but it also appeared that she adopted a similar tousled blonde hairstyle. “I realized that on the red carpet,” explained Watts. “I said, ‘It looks like I stole your hairstyle, doesn’t it?’ . . . . She does have ownership of this hairstyle.” –Jeffrey Slonim

Naomi Watts Debuts a New Do At the ‘Salt’ Premiere

Steve Granitz/WireImage/AFF-USA

Naomi Watts made a fashionable appearance at the star-studded Salt premiere last night with two gorgeous additions– partner Liev Schreiber, and a brand new hair cut! Naomi’s new stick-straight hair was draped over her collarbone and styled with long side-swept bangs. “It was quite a change for Naomi,” said her hairstylist, Robert Vetica, who created a look that referenced 60′s British pop and a soft, natural, Studio 54 vibe. The stylist cut off two inches but left Naomi’s locks longer in the front and higher in the back. “They were first cut long and blunt, then razored and texturized to about the bridge of the nose so they looked lighter around the face,” says Vetica, who achieved Naomi’s silky smooth finish with Argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Light. Although we often see the striking blonde star pushing a stroller through Soho in sneakers and a casual ponytail, the actress proved she certainly knows how to glam it up on the red carpet, pairing her new do with a metallic strapless Gucci mini dress and a black-and-white Neil Lane diamond cuff and ring.–Jessie Goldberg

Naomi Watts Revisits Her Childhood at Liberty of London for Target Launch

James Devaney/WireImage

Target’s designer collaborations always have bargain-hunting fashionistas eager to shop, and for the launch of Liberty of London’s first Target collection Naomi Watts was one of them. “I was born and raised in England and my mom’s an interior designer and was always obsessed with Liberty fabrics and textiles,” the star told PEOPLE at Wednesday’s launch. “There are dresses on the racks where I’m like ‘Oh my god.’ It brings up so much nostalgia because I know I had that dress or something in the vicinity.” So what does the long-time fan think of the iconic print house’s new collection for Target? “It’s very feminine and pretty. I think these things are very edgy and cool,” says Naomi, who sported a $25 peacock print tunic from the new line to the event. But, the one thing that the star is really loving about Target’s latest guest designer’s collection is the price! “I didn’t grow up earning the money I earn now,” admits Naomi. “But this is what’s so great about this! That merging with a place like Target makes it so accessible for everyone. It’s so affordable and I’ve been going nuts.” While at the event, Naomi stocked up on houseware, including decorative boxes, cups and plates—and little girls’ clothes! “I haven’t seen the little boys section yet. But the little girls section—I’ve got a niece who’s 9-10 months now and I’ve bought all sorts of dresses for her,” says Naomi, who has two sons of her own. Liberty of London’s collection will hit Target stores and target.com on Sunday, March 14. Hear more from Naomi at celebrity-babies.com.
