ICYMI: Molly Sims has a chic new do! The former supermodel, 42, showed off her short, fresh haircut Wednesday at the Cotton and Rue La La Fashion Showcase in New York City.
Have you bought anything you loved lately? In the PEOPLE StyleWatch offices, the answer to that question is usually “Yes.” We love to share our absolute can’t-miss picks in our gallery, What We’re Loving Right Now — as well as the shoes Molly Sims can’t live without. (P.S.: They might be the first thing you buy for spring.)

When we think of smokin’ hot Hollywood blondes, Molly Sims ranks high on the list. But the model, actress and jewelry designer just underwent a major hair transformation, trading her signature blonde locks for a fiery red hue. And by “just underwent,” we mean that Sims literally had the mane change a few hours ago; we were there, and we have the exclusive first images of the star’s sexy new look. Read More
If you haven’t already downloaded PEOPLE StyleWatch’s March issue on your tablet, it just hit newsstands today — so put “picking it up” on your lunch break “to do” list. Inside, you’ll see amazing tips for every shape, plenty of fun spring trends — and, as always, smart and sensible beauty and fashion advice from our monthly columnist (and Extra host) Maria Menounos.
We asked the question many of you have been dying to have answered: What’s the secret to her amazing skin, especially with all the travel she does and makeup she wears for work. As it turns out, she’s got quite a routine. “My main thing is that I make sure I wash my face every night, no matter what. Neutrogena wipes, [then] wash,” she says.
But wait, there’s more: “I even do a white glove test to make sure it’s all off … My other trick is that I use one white face towel and then put it the hamper. I use a clean towel every time I wash. You can go to Big Lots and buy a pack of 10 or 15 towels for cheap. Just never re-use towels, they have all that bacteria!”
And Menounos’s thriftiness doesn’t stop at Big Lots towels in bulk. “There’s no reason to spend a lot on fashion when there are so many thrifty options,” she says. “It may make you feel better inside knowing that you have the Chloe boots, but I always am totally more moved by my friends who are like, ‘I got these at the flea market, or at H&M.’ It’s just how you assemble the outfit.”
Would you go to such extremes to make sure your skin was clean? What’s your skincare secret?

In our weekly roundup of the looks that are gaining fashion ground (and the ones losing their style street cred), we saw shiny soles, sexy sheer inserts and a dress with sleeves to sweep off the red carpet.

In our weekly roundup of the looks that are gaining fashion ground (and the ones losing their style street cred), we noticed pants replacing dresses at fancy events, a rise in fire-engine red manis and pair of shoes that needs to be retired for now.
Up: Formal pants. This week was less about the LBD and more about the FFP (Fancy Formal Pant… genius we know). And stars did it in a very classy, sophisticated way. Molly Sims wore a pair of lace-embellished trousers and coordinating Stella McCartney top at PSLA’s 4th Annual Autumn Party. Jamie Chung had an all-white moment in ankle-length trousers and a V-neck peplum top at a screening of Diana in N.Y.C., and Gwyneth Paltrow teamed her cropped bottoms with a belly-button baring top at a dinner to celebrate The Conversation in London. And giving more of an Olivia Pope vibe, Allison Williams (and her new hair) topped her white flare-hem trousers with a bright orange oversize coat (all Calvin Klein collection) at a L’Oréal Paris lunch in N.Y.C.
The stars may be getting all done up for the Emmys on Sunday starting, oh, now, but we’ve still got the whole weekend to play around with our looks, right? Here’s what to wear to make it a memorable one. Read More
