Then you’re ready to check out three of our favorite looks from the Kentucky Derby weekend.
We’ve seen some fabulous hats in the past, but once again, the stars pulled out all the stops in terms of their fancy toppers.
The dresses may have been rather safe at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, but some stars went bold with at least one part of their look: their nails. Celebs from Carly Rae Jepsen (rocking diamond-dusted nails) to Kelly Clarkson (in a yet-to-be-named Deborah Lippman shade) sported killer polish, but we narrowed it down to four stars whose manis really stood out.

Rihanna: She went for a modest gown, but the singer brought her signature sexiness with ’80-inspired square-shape crazy-long talons. “She wanted to match her dress perfectly with an orange-red color, so we blended two colors to come up with the perfect look,” her manicurist Kimmie Kyees tells PEOPLE. (She used a mix of Ooo La Liscious and Red Carpet Reddy by Red Carpet Manicure LED gel polish.)
Miranda Lambert: Adding a pop of blue with mini triangles on the base of her nail beds, Lambert added a funky twist to her ladylike rounded champagne numbers. (Her manicurist, Naja Rickette, used colors from the Azature Black Diamond Collection, including blue and champagne.)

Up: Winter Whites. For a moment, we thought we’d seen the last of ice queen outfits, but boy, were we wrong. This week we spotted two superstars donning chic white numbers: Taylor Swift in a plunging mini (guess that breakover tour is still going strong) and Jennifer Lopez, who wore the pristine shade two days in a row. She first stepped out in a Lanvin bow-accented sheath, then switched gears in a super-sexy KaufmanFranco illusion gown. And though white wasn’t a popular color choice at the Golden Globes, we wouldn’t be shocked if that changes come Sunday night.

If 2013 is anything like the end of 2012, it’s certainly going to be a stylish year: This week, ladies in red dominated the carpet, while stars in super-sexy minis also had a major moment. But since gowns with interesting backs are gaining popularity, one certain staid style of dress is on its way out.
Up: Red, red and more red: Red is always a popular color choice during the holidays, but this week the shade was taken to a whole new level as countless stars wore it head-to-toe — literally — on lips, dresses and shoes. Anne Hathaway, Kirsten Dunst, Taylor Swift and Jaime King donned red pouts; Amanda Seyfried chose the hue for her lips and shoes; and Blake Lively, Lena Dunham, Freida Pinto and Megan Fox slipped into red-hot frocks.

We’ve been giving you lots of fun and festive party dress ideas recently, but Miranda Lambert did the work for us this week! In the past few days, the country superstar has dazzled in two sparkly mini-dresses, perfect for nights spent sipping some bubbly or hanging underneath the mistletoe.
At the Dec. 3 taping of the CMT Artist of the Year Awards (left), Lambert strutted her stuff on the red carpet in a glittery champagne dress by Jovani, paired with gold platform peep-toe heels. (If you like the look, try copying it with this $168 dress by Marc New York.)
