Stars Celebrate Dolce & Gabbana

Evan Agostini/AP

Leave it to Dolce & Gabbana to bring out the stars to celebrate their new Madison Avenue flagship store in N.Y.C. From the new face of their fragrance Matthew McConaughey (with girlfriend Camilla Alves) to his How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days costar Kate Hudson, the Gramercy Park Hotel was packed with a-list stars for last night’s dinner. And they were all smokin’ hot in their Dolce & Gabbana outfits. Eva Mendes told PEOPLE that the designers picked out her dress because “they kind of know what I like now because I’m such a diehard fan.” Anne Hathaway described her glittering black look as “definitely sexy without being too revealing.” Molly Sims summed it up best, saying “If you wear Dolce, you are hot, you are sexy.” We couldn’t agree more.

Guess Which Stars Are Steaming Up Spring Ads?

David G. Morgan/Bauer-Griffin

Sexy stars making sexy ads — who doesn’t want to see that in magazines come spring? Thanks to Fashionweekdaily.com, we’ve gotten the scoop on more than a few great ads in the making. Matthew McConaughey is set to be the face (and hopefully bare chest!) of Dolce & Gabbana fragrances, while Patrick Dempsey is rumored to be making a McDreamy appearance in the Versace campaign. But it’s not just about the guys. Kirsten Dunst will be following in the fashionable footsteps of Lindsay Lohan and Maggie Gyllenhaal in appearing in the Miu Miu campaign for spring, and Fashionista.com is reporting on the rumors that Victoria Beckham just might be the next Marc Jacobs girl. We officially have spring fever!

Matthew McConaughey Is Mad For Plaid

It’s a rare thing to find Matthew McConaughey wearing a shirt, let alone a suit, but PEOPLE’s former Sexiest Man Alive indeed suited up – in brown and orange plaid, no less – to plug his latest film, We Are Marshall. And when the film is released on Dec. 22, you might recognize McConaughey’s ’70s-inspired threads. Why? Well, he sported those suits in the film. Like another actor who has been caught wearing his costumes off-screen, McConaughey explains that his clothes brought things into focus for him. “The plaid suit helped me find the character,” he told the press. “I loved it. Still wearing them!” Fair enough, but we think McConaughey might just have a flair for the ’70s. What do you think about McConaughey’s dated threads? And should actors still wear their costumes when filming wraps?

How Long Should Guys’ Shorts Be?

Believe it or not, men worry about hemlines, too. And when it comes to how short shorts should be, there is a growing debate. After seasons of long, droopy shorts ruling the lower bodies of men, they have been creeping up on some of summer’s hottest bodies. Matthew McConaughey (left) has become the ubiquitous boy of summer, spending all of his time outdoors in shorts and not much else. If you can pry your eyes off his torso, you’ll see that he is sporting the most popular short length for the summer: just at the knee. For those who feel even buffer? They may follow Hugh Jackman’s (middle) lead and head for a few inches above the knee. Or for the superfit, like David Beckham (right), the teeny, tiniest briefs will do nicely.

Tell us: What length do you like men’s shorts?
