And their best friend Molly Fishkin was the lucky recipient of the first-ever bridal gown from the designers behind The Row and Elizabeth and James.

Will Mary-Kate Olsen Design Her Own Wedding Dress? Three Looks That Prove She Can Definitely Design Bridal
We know there’s one major wedding dress on everyone’s mind right now (hi, Kim Kardashian), but there’s more celeb bridal buzz circulating that’s pretty exciting. Mary-Kate Olsen might be designing her own dress.
“I’m not even there yet,” she told WWD when asked about selecting a gown for her upcoming nuptials to Olivier Sarkozy. “I think it may be a matter of getting five or six, or making two or three and being stressed out. That seems kind of far away. We’ll take one step at a time.”
Mary-Kate and her twin sister Ashley Olsen are the design duo behind The Row and Elizabeth and James — so we decided to look back at three different looks from their two labels that prove Mary-Kate has shown plenty of design potential for a bridal gown (we already know they’re just her style).
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen always do their own thing on the Met Gala red carpet (and, well, during life in general), and this can range from deeply chic to “bag lady adjacent.” And because they are constantly walking that line, we often find ourselves on polar opposites of the “love it or leave it” debate. That’s why when they hit Monday night’s red carpet in voluminous vintage ballgowns, two editors here had decidedly different reactions. One of us said, “Wow, that’s pretty good for them and they brushed their hair!” and the other responded “I’m worried you’ve been drinking.” So without further ado, let us debate these looks below.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Wear a Matching Socks-and-Sandals Look That's Definitely DJ Tanner-Approved

Fanny packs. Overalls. Socks with sandals. No, it’s not your weird aunt’s packing list for her trip to Disney World. It’s what you’ll be wearing in 2014, if the fashion world has anything to say about it.
Just when we were coming to grips with the first two items on that list, our world was rocked by the sight of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, twin style setters and CFDA-nominated fashion designers, wearing a matching set of clunky leather sandals over white sports socks.
It’s no secret that many big designers showed Birkenstock-style sandals for spring (we’ve even given them a test run ourselves), but their arrival on the Olsens’ feet cements them as Officially Happening. And the addition of socks takes them to a whole new level of WTFashion.
Are you into this look? Is your dad? Are you concerned about it making a comeback or will you be rocking it this spring and summer? And finally, what do you think about twins rocking the same “Socks and ‘Stocks” look simultaneously? Tell us below.
