Oscar winner Marion Cotillard is channeling her sexy Russian side in her newest ad for Lady Dior. Photographed several months ago in Paris by photographer Craig McDean — the mom-to-be was unable to travel to Russia’s Red Square, according to WWD — she poses seductively on a credenza in a gilded room, holding an iconic red tweed Dior bag as St. Basil’s Cathedral looms in the background. In previous campaign ads — she’s been the face of the line since 2008 — the actress has posed atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris, taken Shanghai, and played a woman living a double life in a three-part, femme fatale-inspired photo shoot. The newest campaign will hit fashion magazines in May and June. Tell us: What do you think of Cotillard’s latest ad for Dior? –Kim Peiffer

Would You Wear A Front-Bun Like Diane Kruger and Marion Cotillard?

Giancarlo Gorassini/Abaca; INF

Lately, Hollywood beauties seem to have a case of the migrating chignon. At some point, the neat, low-slung ballet bun gave way to a messier topknot, which, in turn, evolved into a loose twist just above the forehead. A-listers Diane Kruger and Marion Cotillard both showed off the look during the high-glamour 2010 Cannes Film Festival, demonstrating just how this vaguely rockabilly style can telegraph red carpet polish. We’re all for experimenting with new hairstyles, but we’re still on the fence about this alterna-chignon. Is it a fresh take on a classic style? Or a fussy, overdone look? Tell us: Would you wear a front-bun?
