Mariah Carey New Fragrance

Mariah Carey found sweet success with her last fragrance, Lollipop Bling, which was inspired by hubby Nick Cannon’s delicious wedding proposal. And now, the new mama is sating her sweet tooth again with another addition to her Elizabeth Arden fragrance franchise. Called Lollipop Splash the Remix, the trio of new scents shows off Carey’s fun-loving personality and features hand-picked ingredients that express the singer’s playful side. There’s Inseparable, which contains notes of raspberry, mango, jasmine and orange flowers; Never Forget You, which has wafts of gourmet jelly beans and golden peony; and Vision of Love, inspired by French macaroon and purple jasmine. (All are named for Carey songs.) “We strive to create fragrances that give people the ability to connect with Mariah on a more personal level, just as they do with her music,” perfumer Marypierre Julien said in a statement. “To create Mariah Carey’s Lollipop Splash the Remix, we worked with Mariah and used her music as an inspiration to craft scents that are like floral melodies.” The fragrances, each topped with Carey’s signature butterfly and priced at $35 each, will hit department stores in July. New mom Mariah Carey didn’t have to wait long to celebrate her first Mother’s Day. Just days after welcoming twins Monroe and Moroccan on April 30, the singer toasted her new life as a mom with a very special present from Nick Cannon: a 4-carat diamond and sapphire necklace from Jason of Beverly Hills. “Nick was really excited about the babies’ names and wanted to do a piece with them for Mariah’s first Mother’s Day,” jeweler Jason Arasheben explains. “Pink sapphires are bright and bold and diamonds are always so classic.” The sparkling piece, which also incorporates 14-karat white and rose gold, is valued at $12,000. Cannon, a longtime customer of Jason, was excited about his big surprise. “Nick came in and met with Jason on the Friday after his twins were born,” a source tells PEOPLE. “He was bleary eyed, looking so tired but so happy — all smiles, saying he wanted to design something special for Mariah’s first Mother’s day. He couldn’t want to surprise her on Sunday.” The bauble wraps up a sparkling week for stars; Rachel Zoe recently flashed her 10-carat push present, while Tori Spelling Tweeted about her fifth-anniversary pearl ring. Mariah Carey to Sell Lifestyle Collection on HSN — Live on TV!

Courtesy HSN

With a successful fragrance franchise under her belt and her first baby on the way, Mariah Carey already has plenty on her plate, but that’s not stopping the multi-platinum star from gearing up to launch her first lifestyle line of sparkly baubles, shoes and limited-edition fragrance for HSN on Nov. 29. And Mariah fans will not be disappointed. From the pave-set “initial” pendants to the crystal-encrusted butterfly earrings, the collection is signature Mariah. “From the inception of working with Elizabeth Arden, I wanted the fragrances to represent what I really like,” Mariah tells WWD. “It really opened my eyes and opened the doors for me in terms of starting to think about going into other creative ventures.” And although it comes as no shock that the high-heel queen would extend her creativity to shoes–her line includes fur-trimmed suede boots and quilted nylon boots–she admits that jewelry wasn’t always on her radar. “I never even used to wear jewelry. I used to wear baby earrings, tiny things,” she said, but once she was influenced by HSN’s resident fashionistas, she was sold. And with 20 years of performing in the bag, Mariah’s Nov. 29 TV time isn’t striking any nerves, telling WWD, “I think it’s just about being yourself, explaining the different products and enjoying yourself.” Tell us: Will you buy Mariah’s HSN line? –Jessie Goldberg

Nick Cannon Gets ‘High-Heel Queen’ Mariah Carey to Wear Flats!

Picture Perfect

Mariah Carey is likely to have some aching feet as her pregnancy progresses, and her husband isn’t going to let her suffer –- even if it means he has to be her personal shopper. Nick Cannon described a mini battle the pair had the day before, admitting to being flabbergasted by his wife’s shoe collection. “I come home yesterday to help my wife get ready for her video shoots and she has these 19-inch heels on,” he grumbled good-naturedly on a phone call with his wife, who called into his 92.3 WXRM-FM radio show “Rollin with Nick Cannon” on Friday. Carey defended herself, explaining the heels were only for a job. But, Cannon continued, “So I go into the closet searching for some flats for my wife … She got a lot of damn shoes — it’s like a frickin’ Macy’s. [And] Mariah Carey does not own one pair of flat shoes.” Carey corrects him, “To be fair, I had some boots from Aspen, some Dior boots.” “Ski boots!” Cannon argues. Carey says, “And then we did find some flats and then they were a regular ballet slipper, like a beige, and I was like, ‘I don’t think so.’” Cannon says he finally got her to wear flats -– in the form of ski boots. “Basically, I got Mariah Carey, the high-heel queen, to put on some flats. And this is amazing. I’m going shoe shopping today, needless to say, to buy you some flat shoes.” Carey seemed charmed by the idea, but it remains to be seen if the glam singer — who even travels with only heels in her suitcase — will actually be out and about in flats anytime soon. — Sara Hammel

POLL: Do You Travel Only With Heels Like Mariah Carey?

GSI

For most of us, travel gear includes a comfy pair of flats for hoofing it through the airport or sneakers for days spent sightseeing. But Mariah Carey is no ordinary tourist. The diva recently found herself wheelchair-bound at the Singapore airport after hurting her ankle taking a tumble on-stage — only to realize she had only packed high heels! While A-listers constantly dress to impress at the airport, Mariah isn’t the only mega-star who manages to take it to the extreme, seemingly only packing platforms. But is is just the stars, or are there ladies among us who are so attached to their heels that’s all they put in their suitcase? Tell us: Would you ever travel without a pair of functional footwear?
