Proactiv Solution, the world’s best-selling pimple-fighting beauty regimen, probably also boasts the longest and most renowned list of celebrity spokespeople—especially with the just-announced additions of Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne and Jenna Fischer to their lineup. WWD reports that the trio of stars will join Proactiv’s famous pitchpeople — which already include Mandy Moore, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Julianne Hough — by touting the acne remedy with televised one-minute, two-minute, and 30-second commercials launching later this month. They’ll be compensated handsomely in return, as company exec Ben Van de Bunt confirms, “We are paying people consistently with what we have done in the past, which is millions of dollars.” Perry, Lavigne, and Fischer’s new gig will last at least a year, and expect to see the ads airing worldwide, as the line is carried in more than 58 countries. Mandy Moore Celebrates Fashion, Charity and Being A Newlywed

What’s better than one hot store opening in a new location in West Hollywood? Two hot stores opening at once, of course! When Diavolina and Madison launched with a single party benefiting the Susan G. Komen foundation Thursday night hosted by Current/Eliott designers Meritt Elliot and Emily Current, Lucy Hale, Tichina Arnold, and Mandy Moore came out to celebrate. Moore, who works with Current and Elliot (they are also stylists) regularly, had something else her mind: her husband of seven months, Ryan Adams. “I’m learning every day,” she said of being married. “I’m lucky because I get to spend every day with my best friend and he’s a great influence.” And their pals second the emotion, with Elliot saying of the couple, “Being around both of them is a joy. They’re super fun.” Mandy also praises Emily and Merritt in turn, enthusing, “I’m always happy to support them, I couldn’t be more excited for their success. You know when hope for people and they deserve it and then it happens to the good people — there is justice in the world. I adore them and I am always happy to come out. Anything to show my love.” The other stars were focused on love of a different kind — retail love! “I’ve never been to Diavolina before but, of course, I’ve been to Madison,” said Hale. “I saw a really cute studded bag in there so I’m going to check that out.” Arnold was thinking bigger. “There are a red pair of Yves Saint Laurent shoes over there. I must have those. It’s perfect for the holidays.”

Mandy Moore’s Fashion Philosophy: “I Get Bored With Anything Too Statement-y.”

Stuart Shining; Lucky Magazine

It may be Mandy Moore’s fourth time posing for the cover of Lucky but that doesn’t mean that she has given up her indie style for high glam. The newlywed arrived to the shoot in a comfy-chic outfit of Current/Elliott jeans, a gray tee and Loeffler Randall flats. Heading straight to the clothing racks, Mandy gravitated towards quietly chic pieces of clothing and jewelry. “I’m really into simple things I can grab and wear every day,” she says. “I get bored with anything too statement-y.” Recently, Mandy has been settling into married life with Ryan Adams, who she credits for her current fashion inspiration. “My husband and I have been watching a lot of Moonlighting randomly,” she says. “He introduced me to it and I have to say, I’m sort of obsessed with that era. Cybill Shepherd rocked some pretty unbelievable outfits.” Should we expect power suits soon? In the meantime, check out what Mandy is currently loving, including her favorite things from her Lucky shoot at luckymag.com. Tell us: What do you think of Mandy’s Lucky cover look?

Mandy Moore Shuts Down Her Clothing Line Mblem

Charles Eshelman/FilmMagic

After almost three years, Mandy Moore’s clothing line Mblem is shutting its doors. The contemporary line launched in 2005 and was frequently spotted on the singer-actress-designer. Though her first foray into fashion is over, Mandy still hopes to try her hand at fashion again one day. “I love the fashion world. I’m fascinated by it. I’m humbled by it,” she said tells WWD. “If I were to dip my toe back in there, it would have to be the right situation… a great partnership that could represent a true reflection of me and my ideas and you know that wasn’t happening. So next go round, that needs to be top of the list.” As for now, Mandy is getting back to her roots and concentrating on her music career, releasing Amanda Leigh, a California ’70s-inspired pop album, on May 26. Though we are sad to see Mandy leave fashion, we can’t wait to hear her latest music.
